All your life you have been considered "different". There are things happening that you can't explain, and you hear "freak" whispered as you pass through halls that go silent with your presence. Maybe when you get mad, pipes burst and leave a person half-drowned, or for no scientific reason someone's hair gets singed. You have just been accepted-or rather, invited- into a brand new up-and-coming school in rural northern Canada by the name of Blackvane Academy. In the brochure you were sent a week ago, the place looks pretty formidable, but, on your parents urging, you agree to go. The place is huge-It's big enough to have its own small airport and starbucks! Your tuition and boarding costs have been paid for by some mysterious stranger. Weird, but why would you complain about free rooming and food? As your plane touches down, you catch a glimpse of an enormous castle-like stone building, with an even bigger courtyard in the middle of it all. The brochure wasn't kidding when it said the place was big. You are let in at a pair of massive, formidable iron gates. 'Well, this is it.' You think, and step into your new home.
About Blackvane Academy:
-The Academy runs on a different scedule than normal schools. The year starts at the beginning of winter, then goes until summer vacation. After summer, students continue their year through the fall, with the year ending in the middle of fall, a new year starting two weeks after at the beginning of winter.
-Blackvane Academy sits on the very spot that magic was first known to be practiced, presumably because of the power that could be drawn from the northern lights.
-The Academy sits on four thousand acres of arctic tundra in the middle of nowhere, the password is Full Moon, and it is inaccessible eight months of the year.
-The Academy accepts students from ages 7-17
-There are four classes per day, numbers 1-4 on day A, and 5-8 on day B
About the students:
Each student has control over an element, be it earth, air, fire, or water.
Students will take a year-round class in their specialty magic.
Rules:
If you are caught breaking any of the below rules, you may face immediate expulsion or loss of privileges.
1. No boys in the girls dorm after 6:30pm, and vice versa. During the day, if a male and a female occupy the same room, the door must be left open.
2. All students must be in their own rooms by 10pm
3. No use of magic against another student. This results in instant expulsion.
4. Graffiti and vandalism will not be tolerated.
5. Any student caught in the act or having confessed to bullying another will be immediately expelled.
6. Keep private disagreements non-violent.
