You have wished over and over again that you could be running through the Mines of Moria, or fighting at Helm's Deep, and not having to pay attention to your useless maths homework.
You shake your head. Everything is blurry. No longer can you hear the voices of the kids in your class, only the sound of birds singing, and the neigh of a horse nearby. Is this a dream? Or not?

Middle Earth
Plot
You are a normal person, well, not exactly. You are obsessed with Lord of the Rings, and that has made you always be the "weird" kid in your class, the one that learns elvish and reads books instead of talking about pop stars and make-up. You wish that you could travel to the amazing world that Tolkien invented, to be a hobbit, a dwarf, even an elf... but you have always known that this is impossible.
Or is it?
When Gandalf the Grey found out the power of the one Ring, and that his dear friend Bilbo Baggins had it, he immediately went to Frodo, and all what we have read about happened. But, what nobody knows, is that first he visited an old place he knew very well. It was in the depths of Mirkwood, a huge tunnel. Inside that tunnel, there was a strange gem, with an extraordinary power: It was able to bring people from distant worlds. Gandalf knew that there was a world, many dimensions away, that knew the story of the ring. The wizard knew nothing of Tolkien, only that these people were aware of all what would happen. So, using the crystal, he was able to bring nine of us to Middle Earth. Nine people with an extraordinary imagination, from all over the world.
But what he didn't know was that, when they changed dimensions, their bodies and minds did also. In that way, they forgot many things of their previous lives (including LotR. In that way, they can't tell the canon characters what is going to happen, but they might remember small fragments), and each acquired the looks of a Middle Earthian; Some became elves, their ears growing pointy and their hair long. Others, hobbits, their feet becoming hairy and and shrinking in height. Many grew long beards, and became stocky and strong.
So now, you are there, in Middle Earth. You have become the creature that you have always wanted to be, and with the people you have always wanted to be with: Legolas, Aragorn, Frodo,Sam, Pippin, Gandalf, Merry, Gimli, Boromir... and all the others. And best of all... Elrond has included you in the Fellowship!!! Isn't this wonderful?!
So basically, this will be exactly what happens in the books and movies. Everyone will do the same things, go to the same places, but including the characters we make. It will follow the main storyline, but there can be small differences, such as romance, or more things happening in one space of time.

How to Start
It really depends on what you are and where you are. For example, if you are a hobbit of the Shire, you could be a friend of Frodo's, and set off with him and the other three hobbits: Go through the Barrow Downs, to Bree... or if you are a man of Gondor, you could ride all the way to Rivendell along with Boromir. It all depends.
Also, we need someone to play the canon characters, or at least the ones in the Fellowship.
Rules
★All of Tess' rules apply.
★ Please don't make perfect characters. They can know how to handle a bow and horse-ride, but they are still kind of lost in Middle Earth.
★One Earth character=One Middle Earth character. This means that you can't make two or more Earth characters without making someone from Middle Earth.
★ I would like this to be semi-lit. Write like Tolkien did! No one-liners! Try to write at least four lines, but preferably more.
★Please, please! use past tense. It's quite hard to understand otherwise.
★ Try to describe how your character is feeling, and write details, that will make your posts longer.
★Don't kill another person's character without permission (It won't be necessary unless you are a baddie)
★It will be interesting to see who else succumbs to the power of the ring
★There has to be an even balance of species and genders. Not all of us can be elves!
★You can make as many characters as you like as long as you can handle them all and keep them active.
★Please put effort into your form. I will not accept a form that has only a few lines in it. Describe your character, it's different personality traits, it's odd quirks. You can also make your form pretty, and add more things to it like a quote or different colours. Just make sure it has the basic information in it, though. I will accept almost all characters, but don't be offended if I don't accept you. It's nothing personal, just good RPing
★If I ask you to leave the RP because you have broken the rules, leave, and never come back! (unless you have improved, of course)
★ Don't overdescribe violence or romance.
★Your character can't suddenly remember how to make a bomb and explode all the orcs with it. No. We do remember stuff from this world, such as who all the characters are and stuff, but not how to build guns or anything of the sort.
★These rules might change with time.
