During world war two, French civilians set up a resistance movement to fight against the German forces occupying their country. Many of their most useful operatives were children and teenagers. Some worked as scouts and messengers. Others befriended homesick German soldiers, gathering information that enabled the resistance to sabotage German military operations.      
 
A British spy named Charles Henderson worked among these French children for nearly three years. After returning to Britain, he used what he’d learned in France to train twenty British children for work on undercover operations. The codename for his unit was CHERUB.
                       
Henderson died in 1946, but the organization he created has thrived. CHERUB now has more than two hundred and fifty agents, all aged seventeen or under. Although there have been many technical advances in intelligence operations since CHERUB was founded, the reason for its existence remains the same: adults never suspect that children are spying on them.

Parents dead. No family left. Forced into a children's home where you were bullied and teased. Coming home from another long day of school, someone meets you by the gate. As you get closer, you can see their face. You recognise someone who had come to visit you a few days ago. Walking up to them, you open your mouth to ask a question, but they speak first. ''Come with me.'' is all that they say. Hesitating slightly, you follow them. No-one wanted you here. Your just an orphan. They won't miss you.

You woke in a clean, white room. It smelled like a hospital, but looked very nice. There was a cooker, microwave, wardrobe and other household appliances in the room and at the bottom of your bed was a neatly folded uniform. An orange t-shirt, cargo pants, fresh underwear and some shiny, black boots. You held up the t-shirt and took a look at it. A logo marked the shirt; a small baby-like creature with wings standing on what looked like a globe. 'CHERUB' was written in block capitals on the globe. You pull on the outfit and walk outside. The hall outside was empty, but then a young boy in a bright red shirt walked by. He only looked about six. You asked him where to go, but he ignors you and walks on. Eventually, you make your way down to the reception. Nobody talks to you, not even the adults. When you reach the desk, you ask the woman the exact same question as everyone else. She gestures to a door down the hall. Knocking on the door and slowly stepping in, you are greeted by a voice. ''Hello. Welcome to CHERUB.''

You are an orphan. No-one cared for you or wanted you, so you were stuck at a children's home watching everyone else come and go. Finally, it was your turn. You were taken to a strange place where you were told that you were to become a spy. You didn't believe it at first, but they said you were gifted, and would start training in a few weeks. They sent you back to the children's home to think about the offer. Nobody wanted you so you may aswell be put to use. You agreed to start training immediately.

→ I ｃｈａｒａｃｔｅｒｓ ａｎｄ ｆｏｒｍｓ | Don't make your characters perfect. It is annoying and boring! Because this roleplay is realistic, your characters must have natural hair colour and natural eye colour etc. and they cannot have powers. You must use realistic pictures, no anime and no emo people. Maximum two characters per person, and if you have two characters, keep their genders even. That means one guy and one girl. Keep all characters active; if you have not posted for two weeks without telling me or writing it in your signature, your character will automatically be deleted.
Please try to put effort into your forms! They must be detailed and have alot of information in them, please do not use your own forms, but feel free to add anything to my form or edit it a little to make it look pretty, however, please don't take anything off of the form.

→ II ｐｇ 13 | Please don't go overboard. Drama and Romance is encouraged, but no pregnancies or anything. If it gets too bad, just use a timeskip or fade to black. Don't go into detail with blood / gore etc. because CS is a family website, and everything must remain child friendly. Your characters can die, so please don't get mad if they do, but deaths are very rare. If you think it is necessary for a character to be killed { like if the user is quitting or wants to get rid of them } you must have permission from both the user and me. If you do get rid of a character, you can make a new one to replace them.
As for romance, nothing too bad. You can date and / or cheat on each other and have crushes etc. but don't get out of hand with it all because this roleplay isn't really focusing on romance, but you can make things interesting.

→ III ｓｅｍｉ-ｌｉｔｅｒａｔｅ | Yes, semi-literate! You must write at least 5 plus lines per post, but 3 or 4 plus lines with writers block. No one-liners or dead end posts, please. If you can't find anyone to talk to, you can approach one of my characters as they'll probably be free. Fancy posts are nice :] You can use different fonts, add colour etc. to each of your posts. Don't add pictures to every post { forms are ok }, because that counts as 'decorative spam'. Don't spam, or this thread could get locked .__.
In your posts, it would be helpful to add things such as your character's name, age, crush, location, activity etc. aswell as a 'tag' at the bottom of your posts. Tags make it clear to everyone so they know who you are talking to, for example 'tagged ; Kevin.' so there is no confusion.

→ IV ｏｕｔ ｏｆ ｃｈａｒａｃｔｅｒ | When you are talking ooc { out of character } use some sort of brackets or write in a different colour so that we know you are talking out of character. Don't fight out of character, in character is ok but ooc is not good .__. Don't spam either, but asking for a recap or saying you'll post later is all right but just saying 'hi' or 'thanks' is spam. When someone asks for a recap, just give them one. It's very annoying when you're just ignored. It's the same in character, just don't ignore anyone or constantly keep roleplaying between two people for several pages.

The latest constructions on CHERUB campus are the technical department (1996), martial arts training dojo (2001), the medical centre (2002) and a new mission control building (2005). In 2008, the campus library opened its doors.

These are unlikely to be the last changes on CHERUB campus. In 2011 work will begin on a new ‘Campus Village’ situated in the area between mission preparation and the cricket field. This will provide living quarters for all CHERUB agents.

When the village is complete, the main building will be modernised to become a state of the art administration and education building, a new annexe will be built to house CHERUB staff and the elderly education building and gymnasium will be demolished.

Work is scheduled to be completed in time for Campus’ 75th Anniversary in 2015.

ｏｒａｎｇｅ ; The orange shirt is worn by potential recruits and guests on CHERUB campus. The high visibility colour serves as a warning.
CHERUB agents are only allowed to talk to someone in an orange shirt if the Chairman or another senior staff member gives them permission.
ｒｅｄ ; Red shirts are worn by cherubs who are not qualified to enter basic training. This is usually because they are under 10 years of age.
Cherub accepts children from age 6 upwards. Sometimes a younger child is admitted if they have an older brother or sister.
ｂｌｕｅ ; The blue shirt is worn under the following circumstances:
{ 1 }. By a newly recruited agent, over ten years of age who is waiting for the next session fo basic training to begin.
{ 2 }. By recruits who are in basic training. Under these circumstances the shirts also have a trainee number printed on them.
ｇｒｅｙ ; This is what you earn if you make it through 100 days of basic training and qualify as an agent.
Roughly 90% of CHERUB agents will be promoted to higher ranking black or navy shirts before they retire.
ｎａｖｙ ; The navy t-shirt is awarded to a grey shirt CHERUB agent for an outstanding performance on a single mission.
Once a black or navy shirt is awarded, you cannot be demoted. More than 90% of CHERUB agents will be promoted to navy before retiring.
ｂｌａｃｋ ; The black shirt is usually awarded to a navy shirt agent for outstanding performance over a number of missions.
On rare occasions, grey shirt agents who have been on a very long mission have been allowed to skip the navy shirt entirely.
Black and navy shirts are awarded at the discretion of the chairman. 50% of CHERUB agents can expect to receive a black shirt before they retire.
ｗｈｉｔｅ ; Most Cherub agents retire at 17 or 18 years of age. They get given a white shirt when they come back to visit friends on campus or attend a reunion.
Some CHERUB staff also wear the white shirt, usually those in the athletics or training departments.

Her current name is Katherine Redpath. Katherine's birth name was Katherine Mackenzie. She decided to keep her first name after arriving at CHERUB with her brother, Jake, but her last name was changed to Redpath.

She doesn't really care about nicknames. Katherine is called Kat by basically everyone, but really doesn't mind what anyone calls her as long as it isn't anything stupid.

Kat is already thirteen years old, and was born in Northern England on the seventh of June. She has been in CHERUB since the age of nine when her parent's first died, and now has her grey shirt.

Female. Katherine is female but she isn't very girly and hardly ever wears make-up and hates pink, but she does have her slightly girly side too.

Katherine is quite small for her age, but has long legs that make up for most of her height. She is realitively slim, and very fit because she goes jogging regularly. Kat has long, chocolate brown hair that she wears either down or in a ponytail mostly, and has a slight side parting in her hair, and her hair is naturally wavy, but she sometimes straightens it or curls it.. Katherine almost never wears make-up, and only wears it for special occasions so she looks 'natural' most of the time. She always wears her horsehair bracelet on her right wrist. Kat has had that bracelet ever since she can remember.

Katherine has long, chocolate brown hair. It has natural highlights in, and it's darker towards the top. Her hair is quite long and naturally wavy, but she does have some hair straighteners which she uses quite alot.

Kat has eyes that are a mixture of amber and grey. They are more amber with grey streaks in them, but she finds it weird as her dad had blue eyes and her mum had brown eyes.

Katherine has a horse-shoe shaped scar in her right shoulder where her horse trampled her when she was six. She also has ear-piercings. Both ear lobes are pierced and on her right ear, two more piercings are going up her ear.

Katherine is mostly just in jeans, a polo shirt and hoodie and wearing her favourite converse trainers. She likes comfortable, casual clothes, but does have the occasional dress in her wardrobe. She does like to dress up for special occasions. She likes anything that is comfortable and roomy.

"Ah- long story."

Well, Katherine started out in northern England, where she was born, and lived with her family. Her mother and her were really close, mostly because she never knew her real father. When Kat was two, her mother married her boyfriend, Martin, and Katherine was a bridesmaid. Martin was horrible. He beat Kat and her brother whenever her mother wasn't looking.
Finally, he was caught. Kat's mother immediately divorced him, but within two years had married again. This time to a man named Jacob. Jacob was very nice and cared for his family so much. When she was eight, they moved to London and lived in a two-storey house in a very nice neighbourhood.
One day, on the way to school, it began raining heavily. The wipers broke ten minutes away from home, and before Jacob could pull over a huge truck smashed into the back of them, causing the car to push forward into a lorry infront of them. The lorry crushed the front of the car, but Jake and Kat were in the back. The managed to squirm out from under the crushed metal and smash the glass in the window to get out. Kat fainted a few minutes later, and woke up in a hospital. Jake was next to her with his arm in a sling. She was unharmed apart from some scratches and a long gash along her leg.
Both Katherine and Jake were told that their parents were dead, so her and her twin were sent to a children's home.
After being in the home for three months, they were taken to CHERUB. She completed training the first time when she was ten, but Jake has failed three times. He is going to do his training this year.

She has no other living family apart from her twin brother, Jake, who is also a CHERUB agent. Katherine has quite a few friends at CHERUB, and she is realitively popular but not extremely popular because she is so shy.

Some of her habits include playing with her hair a lot, and brushing it back all the time, even if it is tied back. Kat is terrified of spiders, and will not go within a one meter radius of them. Small ones are alright, but she just can't stand anything that is bigger than her fingertip.

Katherine doesn't have any pets. Because she is over ten years old, she isn't allowed one anyways so she doesn't get to keep one.

Shy | Katherine is very shy and quiet. She will not make the first move, and prefers people to come up to her. Around close friends, she can be much more confident and loves to have fun. Kat is gentle and sweet, but brave too. She is sensible and knows the difference between bravery and stupidity, but sometimes she just doesn't care and wants to have fun with her friends. Kat will not give in to anything she doesn't want to do, unless you persuade her alot, and she hates giving up and will always give something a good try first before she gives up.

Loyal | Kat is very loyal and reliable. If you tell her a secret, she will not rush to tell someone, but will never tell a soul. She'll probably forget it anyway. Katherine likes to be there for her friends, and will support and help them whenever they need her. She tends to get very close to people, but takes time in getting to trust someone new, especially is it is a guy. She tends not to trust them as much as girls, but she does have friends that are male, but that's only because she has known them for years.

Short-Tempered | Katherine tends to have random outbursts when she can't take it anymore. If someone annoys her, she may lash out or storm off. After these outbursts, she preferst to be by herself for a bit to cool off, so it is best not to try to interfere when she wants to be alone, and will come back when she feels ready. She has a short temper, and can be very mean sometimes, like she has a split-personality, so it's best not to get on her bad side.

Athletic | Kat has been doing sports all her life, so she is very athletic, sporty and she is almost alway full of energy. She prefers running long distance, hurdles and high jump mostly, but she is willing to try anything. Katherine will not give up too easily, so you could ask her to run onehundred laps around the track and she'd keep going untill she couldn't walk. She's that type of person that will just give anything and everything a go and hates giving up.

Katherine has a grey shirt. She completed her 100 day training course the first time around, and recieved her grey t-shirt before her brother, Jake, who has failed his test three times already and is still in his blue shirt.

Kat is talented at combat. She is good with weapons and has fantastic aim, plus, she is very athletic and is a black belt in karate and judo.

His name is Jake Redpath. Jake's original name was Jake Mackenzie, but changed his name so it matched his sister's name, too.

Micky is about the usual hight for a boy his age, maybe even a little higher, and he is quite muscular. At home, he goes to the gym twice a week to work out, but also does other sports. He has dark brown hair that sometimes falls over his eyes, and it goes light brown in the winter and lighter blonde in the summer. Micky has realitively pale skin, and you can only just make out some freckles dotted across his nose and cheeks. He has deep blue eyes that seem to be very slightly streaked with dark green.

Yes, Jake is British. He was born in England and has always lived there.

Micky is about 5'8'' to 6'0'', but he hasn't measured himself in a while.

Micky has dark blonde hair. In the summer, it is lighter and streaked with dark blonde, however, in the winter, it does get much darker so ends up in a light brown.

Micky's got dark blue eyes, but they are streaked with a dark green aswell, but you can hardly tell unless it's light.

Micky always wears comfortable clothes. He loves polo shirts, jeans and hoodies, and even if he has to wear a suit he'll have it a size too big, the shirt untucked and his top button undone. At school, he was constantly told to sort out his uniform. He loves his converse trainers, and has several pairs in every colour, even pink, but half the time, especially in summer, Micky will just walk around in his socks or bare footed. Sometimes, Micky likes to show off and walk around topless, but that's only really when it's 'too hot to have a shirt on'.

Friendly | Micky is very friendly, and will just walk up to random people, mostly girls, and introduce himself. He is funny and loves a laugh, but he is sweet and kind, so he will never laugh at somebody. Micky will never leave someone out, and he loves to make friends with everyone he meets, but can be a bit rough-and-tumble sometimes, and Micky likes play fighting with his friends.

Crazy | Micky is very crazy. He just loves having fun, and at times he will say or do something random just because he feels like it. Though Micky can be a bit childish sometimes, he can be very responsible. When he was younger he used to take gymnastic lessons, so sometimes Micky might do a flip or two, but that's the most he will do. And, every now and then he might take out his guitar and make up random songs and tunes on the spot.

Intelligent | Micky doesn't look that intelligent, but he actually did very well in school and was in the top set for almost everything. He used to get in trouble a lot in school, but usually got good marks in his exam. He does act stupid sometimes, but that is just Micky's idea of fun.

Show-Off | Yeah, Micky can be quite a show-off. He likes to flirt alot with girls, and will show off to them by walking around the house without his shirt on or taking out his guitar. Sometimes his showing off can be a bit annoying, but Micky can't help it. He likes to be the center of attention. Micky is a very talented singer, and he has a passion for archery, so he may take out his now and arrow from time to time. Micky may get a little bit carried away sometimes, though.
