You all thought they were myths and legends, mere tales and entertaining stories... They aren't tales or stories. They exist. Even if you can’t see them, they exist. Hidden in places that no human life can live - places like deserts, the ice caps, deep underground... That's were the fae live.

Yet there's one place where the fae live above ground, because deep in a forest in the countrysides of England is the place where the tree of life grows. The tree of life radiates magic, and lengthens the life span of those who reside around it. It calls the fae people to it, and also draws in those humans who have the spark of imagination. The tree of life fuels the imagination of humans and occasionally calls them to come witness the magics of the fae people.

The fae are collectively, shape-shifters, witches, wizards, elves, fairies, nypmhs and forest dwellers. They seek to keep humans away from the tree of life because they fear the consequences of humans finding out about magic. They tend to the plants and animals of the forest and are rather spiritual people. They draw magic from the tree of life and seek to keep it alive. Many are centuries old having lived within the aura of the tree for a long while.

Yet something has come to threaten the tree, something raging of age old darkness. A foul curse cast upon the tree by an assassain threatens the careful balence of nature. The magical beings who survive around the Tree of Life will lead the quest to save the tree, but what resistance will they meet from those who set out to destroy it?

This roleplay will be rather different to the normal roleplays I create. I will set-up a plot line and once the quest in the plot line is completed I will post another plot line.

The beginning -

Shapeshifters age at the same rate as humans no matter how long they stay by the Tree of Life for. Generally they act as scouts, able to turn into one or at the maximum two different types of forest creature. They are able to keep a look out for forces that may tamper with the tree and harm it.

They tend to be stronger than humans, though only be slightly. They also have the ability to talk to animals regardless of whether they are in animal form or human form. They tend to be extremly fast and agile and have a habit of acting like the creature they are most prominent in transforming into. They prefer to stay in human form during the day and have the unconsious habit of turning into their animal form at night.

Shapeshifters have a 'prominent animal form' and this is the form that they are most skilled at using and can switch to in a second. Shifting to other forms takes more skill and effort.

Shapeshifters are not easily ditingushed from humans, the only difference being that they have sharper nails, which makes them brilliant scouts since they can blend in incredibly easily. They are rather uncommon and you're not likely to see many of them around.

Witches and Wizards - -

Witches and Wizards age pretty slowly, they age like humans until they reach their fifteenth birthday, and then they age one year for every hundred human years. Generally they act as guardians. Their magic is mostly based on spells and potions and they can easily heal those who have been injured in fights.

They generally have the same strength aspects as humans and have the ability to talk to animals. They have an extensive knowledge of healing magic and herbs and are very inteligent.

They don't have extensive control over all magic, as stated they are potions and spells based. They tend to carry magic books around with them because the spells they use are almost impossible to learn.

They are rather easily distingished from humans by their natural hair color that either tends to be striking bright reds, blues and greens or completely white as if they were ghosts.

The true protecters as they are sometimes known are the ones who actually fight to look after The Tree of Life. They are skilled in combat and take arms when the tree is under threat.

They are much stronger and much faster than humans, and age half as slow as humans. They cannot talk to animals yet they have the ability to talk to plants - they can convince plants to grow faster and grow in a certain way. Elves made the vilage that the fae people live in by convincing trees to grow together and form an underground complex with thier roots.

Elves are distingushed by their ears, which aren't as easily covered up by hair as one may have thought. Sometimes elves ears can be up to seven or eight inches long.

Fairies - -
Generally about an inch or two tall, fairies are general helpers. They help collect herbs and plants for witches and wizards, they act as help for elves by sticking with them in battle and if they get injured the fairy will fly away to get help, they also help out shapeshiftes as scouts.

They are incredibly fast, but not very strong - catching one in a jar will be hard, but if you manage it they won't have the strength to get out. They don't tend to get on well with animals, because the animals mostly mistake them as food. However they love insects (particularly butterflies).

It's not hard to point out a fairy, they are tiny. But they also tend to have an array of marks and symbols covering their skin. Fairies are condoned as michevious beings because they have a knack and love for tricks. They age like humans, and then stop aging at an age they choose and stay at that age fore
Nymphs have a weak aptitude over an element, which tends to be either air or earth. Water nymphs are rare and fire nymphs are almost extinct. They help elves in battle and are usually paired up with an elf when it comes to fighting.

They are slightly weaker than humans, but much faster and can easily run away from pretty much anything if they want to (apart from fairies since they are the fastest beings).

Nymphs generally have an attribute of their appearence that relates to their element. Examples being bright green eyes for an Earth nymph, or pale blue fingernails for a water nymph, or ice white hair for an air nymph. They are immortal creatures (though can still die from extensive injuries) and are born from their element and never age. They stay at the age they are born at and are usually in appearence over the age of eight.

Spirits - -
The spirits are often known as forest dwellers. They live within trees because they are the trees themselves. A spirit tends to stay around their tree and care for their tree. They are connected to their trees and if the tree dies they feel it much like if they get injured, the tree will get injured too.

The spirits tend to 'look after' the Tree of Life's spirit and tend to collect food for everyone to eat. They are brilliant hunters and have the best aim when it comes to hunting.

They are easily spotted because they tend to have leaves in their hair, or clothes that look like leaves. They tend to weave leaves and grasses into their hair and wear only natural clothing. They tend to appear in teenage form but are many years old depending on when their tree was first planted.

Under the orders of Nyx the assassins cause the trouble for the magical minority about the tree of life. They can be either elves, shapeshifters or nymphs. If you're creating an assassin, put assassin in the 'other' part of the form.

Erin isn't one for nickanes, after all, Erin is pretty hard to shorten unless you start to call her 'er' which she won't be happy about. She is sometimes called by her second name - Castelle and few people actually know her last name which is Aurora. Overly though, she prefers to be called Erin.

Age- Three-hundred and fifteen. She appears to be eighteen.

Appearence- Erin has a short and skinny stature, though not in an unhealthy way. She has porcelain colored skin, with a light dash of pale blue freckles across her cheeks. She has dark blue hair, that reaches about halfway down her back. Her hair tends to be a mix of silvery blues in the sunlight. She has dark blue eyes, and tends to use dark blue eyeshadow to accentuate this.

Magic books- Necromany. She has a tendency to sway towards the darker side of life. She's however only studying necromancy and would never honestly cast a spell that would force the dead back to life.

Personality- She is the type of girl who has so much confidence that she probably keeps it in jars in a cupboard. She is incredibly mature and independent. She hates when people talk to her as if she's a child, prefering to ignore or insult people if they do so. She doesn't take orders well unless they are delivered politely with an incentive to finish them. She is incredibly feisty and often says 'We can do this the easy way or the hard way' when in a fight and likely to lose. She stubbornly refuses to give up in a fight, no matter if she's bleeding all over the place if she can hold a sword she will carry on fighting.

She is often described as; 'strong-willed, intelligent, sharp-tongued, doesn't suffer fools gladly and very very rude.' She tends to always be able to come up with a quick one-liner or a good comeback to an insult, and uses this talent without fail against pretty much anyone. She does try to be polite, yet has the habit of forgetting her manners quite a lot of the time.

She is easy to get along with when you get past the sharp outer shell. if something's wrong, she wants to know so she can help you get through it. She loves to keep secrets since it makes her feel appreciated by someone and that they trust her.

She's a little fast to jump to conclusions, and this can sometimes lead to problems of her having to explain herself. She also has a habit of talking way too much and because of this, she merits the nickname 'Chatterbox'. She doesn't really work to figure things out, she tends to jump in straight away without knowing the full details to something.

She is not the type of person to let someone else get her down and upset her. She's got no time for bullies, and believes that they simply need a good punch in the face to get them to leave her alone. She is even more undesirable when people offend her friends. Her loyalties for her friends are more than strong, they are eternal. Even if her friend turns out to be something like an assassin secretly working for the other side (which is highly unlikely), she will still have some loyalties to them, only if they do something horrendously bad will she disregard them completely.

Interesting fact- She carries about many vials attached to her belt which are pre-made spells that she can use whenever. She only has a few spells, one or two in the pouch.

Name-
Serria is more commonly known as The Tree of Life, she is the spirit of the aicent tree. She's also known less commonly as Serria, yet she doesn't honestly mind which name she is called by.

Age- Millenia. She appears in the form of a seventeen year old.

Appearence- Serria has a short and curvy stature, with slightly tanned skin and a splatter of freckles. She has dark green hair that she tends to braid with leaves from her tree. She's got light green-hazel eyes. She loves to dress in deep greens that match the forest colors around her.

Tree- The Tree of Life. It's a mix of all different types of trees.

Personality- She has built up incredible patience levels and gives her the ability to sympathise with those who deserve it. She upholds a calm manner in most situations and her intelligence lets her analyze situations, and think about the ideas she has. She looks after the whole forest and makes sure everyone is okay.

She is very relaxed all the time and works to calm others down. She searches for inspiration and imagination since it keeps her alive.

For an inteligent person she's imature sometimes, and loves to play tricks by jumping out on people or talking in riddles.

Interesting fact- She is the Tree of Life.

He prefers to be known by his second name since he considers Cyrus to be a boring and weird name. He also doesn't mind being called Cy or Grange.

Age- Thirty-four though because elves age slower than humans he appears seventeen.

Appearence- Cyrus is rather tall and muscular. He has tanned skin (Ignore the markings in the picture) and hair so blonde that it looks white under sunlight. He has grey eyes that seem to radiate a certain kindness.

Weapons- He fights with a staff and has a dagger as a back up.

Personality- Cyrus has no sense of seriousness, and always talks in a calm and casual matter whatever the situation. It's as if he has nothing to loose or to fear. He's a really nice person to know, with the habit of calming people down and breaking new to people gently. He’s a nice person and helps people out as much as he can.

He can’t stand bullies and will take the side of whoever is being bullied even if he hates their guts. Cyrus may look like the bad guy sometimes, but he's gentle and sympathetic, caring and kind. He's kind and gentle and easy to get along with. He always works to help out others and tries to be helpful. He tells the truth as much as possible. He enjoys being the center of attention and tends to take the spotlight whenever he can.

He's hard to make friends with since he has to absolutley trust the person first before he can become a friend. Though, he is loyal to those who manage to befriend him.

Interesting fact- He was one of the elves who helpd build the underground complex everyone lives in.

Age- He appears to be about twenty.

Appearence- Cyrus is not overly tall, nor is he overly short; he’s just a little shorter than average in the height department and pretty average when it comes to weight. He’s got lightly tanned skin, and seems to sport a ‘thoughtful’ look most of the time. His hair is almost the same color as the dark brown in his eyes, perhaps a little lighter. If he spends a long time out in the sunlight it tends to get even lighter, edging on blonde.

Element- He has a weak aptitude over water.

Personality-He’s a very relaxed person, not really giving too much worry to pressing matters, in his opinion, there’s no point in worrying about something since it’s not going to help in anyway at all. He also believes it’s a lot more helpful if people relax when trying to figure out a problem. He acts casual in many situations, more likely to make a joke than scream if someone threatened to kill him with an axe. He is capable of fear and worry, but he tends to reserve them for situations that he thinks really need it.

He is generally a nice person, ready to listen if needed to, and ready to comfort people whenever he needs to. He barely ever gets angry, and if he does it’s not over something trivial. He’s not one for overreacting.

Colton doesn't have any nicknames. And if he did, he wouldn't just let a random stranger call him by them. He needs to get close to someone in order to be using nicknames. Super close, not just best friends but like bonded brother and sister type of friend.

Colton doesn't remember what his age is. He thinks it's around four hundred and fifteen. He appears in the natural form of an nineteen year old.

Colton has a thin bone structure with silky blue hair that rests atop his head. He has silvery blue eyes that are in the distinct shape of almonds. His skin is quite pale and his arms are long as well as his legs. He doesn't really care for fitness as much as others so he's not the strongest wizard of all time.

Colton owns the magic books of invocative magic. He deals with spirits, beings, entities, and intelligences that are higher than he is. He doesn't use this ability for bad, but for good.

Colton isn't one for talking. He's very quite and shy and innocent. He doesn't do with conversation and usually just nods his head or shakes it when asked a question. Sometimes, when he does talk, you usually can't shut him up. Especially when he's excited about things. He gets overly excited about magic and spirits and the things he works with but that's basically it.

Colton isn't one for emotions either. He doesn't express his feelings through expressions or movements, only by using his eyes and thoughts. He doesn't like it when people intrude on his personal business and ask him about his personal life. He also isn't used to emotions. Especially big ones such as love. He's not searching for someone to spend the rest of his life with, probably because he lives such a long time.

Colton has quite a temper. Whenever you do something wrong or something that he isn't fond of, he will explode. Sometimes, he uses his abilities to harm you but that's rare, only when you hurt him quite deeply. He can't cope with his emotions and so, when he expresses them, he usually expresses them dramatically.

Colton usually carries around a small wooden box that is bottomless and holds all his important things he carries around such as books, bottles of important spells, potions, etc, and food for his cat that he keeps. His cat's name is Mouse
