Ever since you were born you have been tracked. The government follows everyone, and has for centuries. A program was set up, a program to ensure longer lives. It was named the "Matching Game" and took in every citizen at the age of fifteen. At that point of time they are required to take a bit of a long quiz, and from that they are matched.

Those who choose to shun their assigned partners will be sent to a special area for people like them. The groups are of only one gender, and any love will immediately be resolved by death. Women who are shunned are given a check and custody of their children. They are sent to a nice area of the town, and given a choice of future husbands. Men abandoned get their children and are sent to an area until chosen by a woman.

By tradition, at least one of the two matched people is given a sum of money by their parents. The money is used to buy a house, car, and support their family and children until the age of seventeen. At seventeen every person is assigned a job based on their skills and family history.
