"Would you like me to arrange a carriage for you, your majesty?" Maria offered, eager to aid the mourning princess. Also, having something to do had sort of a numbing effect on her. It was easier to hide from pain when one kept busy. At least that had always held true for Maria. That was why being a maid was such n excellent job for her. While she worked she could pretend that was all that mattered, but if she didn't the sadness would creep in.

Arabella smiled and sighed. "Thank you," she said quietly. I want to go home, she thought. She looked around the garden quickly and thought of the previous night; just hours ago, she had been so happy. I'll go back to the place where Patch was, I'll be happy there, she thought foolishly. She smiled at Maria again. "I'm just about ready to go home," she thought aloud.

"This is what happens when you are the descendants of Arthur Ryean, madness endures in the family blood." The Elyadon King muttered to himself. His wife patted his arm, giving him a tragic smile. She was heartbroken from the loss of her eldest son, and wasn't quite in the right mood for deciding the future marriages.

"Agreed. Arthur Ryean VII and his sons were truly mad. But now it is up to us to get rid of this madness, which we thought the peace treaty would do."

"But fate has decided otherwise." the Elyadon king mused, staring at nothing in particular. "Aiden's.. death, has great impact on this treaty, as does Prince Kaleb's offer. Shall we risk one marriage, which will lessen the bonds for sure, or keep true to the original pact and have two marriages?"

"If I may," interrupted the Queen of Avalon. "My opinion on this matter does not weigh much in the world of Lords and Kings, this I understand. But if I may recommend accepting Kaleb's proposition. We do need heirs to the throne, yes? Therefore, why not have a beautiful couple that is deep in love wed, bonding our kingdoms together and showing Eldea that peace shall come with love."

"Ah yes, 'tis the right thing to do, husband," The Queen of Elyadon advised her husband quietly. The Kings met gazes, nodding silently. It was agreed then.

"Send out for the messengers."

"No thank you," she replied. "I'd much rather ride by myself, or at least on my own horse. I don't think I could take being confined in a carriage." She shuddered at the thought of being trapped when at the moment it felt like the walls were closing in around her. "Besides, theres somewhere I want to go when I get home," she said, trying to remember the road Crystal had taken the previous night.

Her face was slightly troubled at this. She wasn't sure it was wise for the princess to be wandering around after such a tragedy but it wasn't her place to say anything. "Would you like me to have a horse and escort readied for you then your majesty?" She asked, forcing a small smile

"I don't know," she said honestly, shaking her head a bit. "I need to get out in the wind and let myself think. I don't think it would be wise to ride without an escort, but I doubt my parents would care." I want to be alone, at least for now, she thought, keeping this to herself. She looked back down at the ground and kicked a rock down the gravel path by the bench. "I should probably tell my parents when I leave though," she mused aloud.

She sat quietly looking down at her hands now folded in her lap as she let the princess decide. She pulled a stray sun-bleached lock of hair out of her face and looked up at the sky. The sun was just starting to rise, so at least Arabella would be traveling in the light of day.

"I know you're not keen on the idea," she said, reading her face. "I've ridden on my own before, but I guess and escort would be a good idea..." She stood up slowly, not wanting her legs to give out. Her mind was still full with random and incomplete thoughts. She looked in the direction of the rising sun and squinted at the sky that was streaking with pink. The world is a very different place than yesterday, she thought.
