"I probably would have done it myself anyways so shut your face." He was right and I knew it but my pride wouldn't let me admit that to him.

he sighed softly and couldn't help but smile a bit. but instead of looking amused, the spark in his eyes was gone and he appeared to be upset. Ren looked at the ground, hoping she wouldn't notice and braced his hands against the ground, sliding himself back up against the wall.

Huffing slightly I plopped down in his lap and poked his uninjured cheek with a small smile. "If you don't start looking happy soon, I will be forced to lick you!" Even though I was still a bit upset about him causing me so much pain both physically and emotionally, I wasn't going to just let him wallow in sadness.
