Luan nodded, lugging his pack higher onto his back. He brought up the rear, behind all of the girls. He did feel awkward, bing the only guy here. Luan had never been around women much, you dont when you work in the mines all day. From that thought, he let his mind drift to what lay ahead. "Perhaps this Laurence person is meeting us there. And we will get our dragons. Though, the waterfall seems awfully close. My theory is that we have a loner journey ahead."

Lyra smiled at her new friends. In the last 5 minutes, she had gotten 2 new allies to count on in battle and for friendship. She smiled again at Luan, went over to him and said, "I think your right. We have a long journey ahead of us. We need to get moving if we want to get there soon."

The young girl laughed, "Lyra, if you think we should be going then catch up. At this rate Im gonna get there a whole day ahead of you," Hope said through her giggles. She tugged at her sleave of her shirt a bit to make sure it hid the large burn mark as she continued to march ahead.

She was over exagerating her march a tad bit just to entertain herself. Her arms swung up and down to ninety degree angles while her legs came up until they were parallel with the ground below her. "Were off to see the waterfall... The wonderful fall of rocks~" she sang to herself up ahead of the group.

Solan snapped from his daze once the two entered the cave. He gave a gasp, instinctively pulling at his hand to get free and digging his heels to stop any movement. He meant no harm in his actions, but he didn't like being pulled, and even less to be forced in any direction. When he stopped, he hadn't yet realized that something was chasing them and that in stopping, he had allowed it to almost catch up with him. But then it screeched, and Solan turned to face the chaser- sprinting backwards when it dived at him. "W-What the he...?" He wasn't able to finish as the strange creature continued to try and nip his head off. Of course, Solan did his best to dodge, barely escaping each bite with luck and quick reflexes.

In the very miniscule time frame in which he was able to run around this creature, Solan used it to not just get closer to Corinne, but to bless the soul's of the more rowdier children in the Orphanage. Their scheming ways have done wonders for this boy's reflex and paranoia. "I'm so sorry!" He apologized to the girl.

((Was that right? Also, sorry that Solan is causing her so much trouble- my characters tend to do that...))

{FYI, the other group of characters can meet up with Corinne and Solan, because these two are like a good bit ahead of them in their travel ^^}

Corinne shook her head, wishing to just pick him up and carry him on her shoulder. But, that wasnt very lady-like now was it? I think not. "Save your sorrys for later Solan, here they come.." she growled, unsheathing her sword once again. "If you dont know how to protect yourself, you had better learn." she told him, going after one of the Zellas head on. She jumped in the air, higher than any normal being should be able to, and slashed at it's stomach. The creature let out a screech, faultering for a moment before delivering a blow to Corinne's arm. The girl brushed it off, landing on her two feet in a crouch. Blood ran down her left arm. "Oh, its on now bastards." she said angrily, backing up to guard Solan.


Luan snickered. This girl was pretty funny. "Come on Lyra! Do you want to wait for those creatures to return?" he called to her. He was starting to warm up to the idea of traveling with this group, so Luan was now becoming more social. Getting back into his groove.

Lucas Sky Knight

Luke sat up screaming once again. "Stupid dreams," he hissed in annoyance as he silenced his scream. Luke searched the small room that the whole family slept in to see if he had awaken anyone of the four people.

The small ten year old girl sat up, rubbing her eyes. "Are you having bad dreams again, Sky?" she whispered after a long and drawn out yawn. She watched as Luke gave a nod to say yes. Holly was surprised to see him begin to pack up all of his possesions. "Are you leaving?" she asked in surprise.

Sky didn't stop his packing. "I'm going on an adventure. Tell your parents when they wake up that it will be a while 'till I get back," he whispered as he slipped the pack over his shoulder and attached his weapons. "Oh, and tell them thanks for taking care of me," he added as he waved goodbye.

Holly gave the older boy a hug goodbye as she watched him go. "Have fun on your adventure and don't die," she whispered after him. Luke grinned as he left into the distance. He didn't walk for long until he caught sight of a group of kids killing large creatures.

"Dont see that everyday," Luke whispered in slight surprise as he followed the group from behind. Maybe, just maybe, they were going to the same place as him.

Hope was glad that she had a group around her. It just seemed like more fun to be with others instead of just by herself. Being by yourself was so lonesome. She listened to Luan start talking once again.It must suck to be the only guy. She thought with a slight laugh as she looked around her.

"Any idea how far it is?" she asked over her shoulder.

[Tamagod.]

"Tch- still." Solan muttered and whipped out... the stupid gardening tool. Solan would've face palmed had a zella not sped towards him and attempted to kill him. It ended up nipping his shoulder, making the boy curse. Seriously, what the heck was he thinking, putting the two in the same pocket like that? Who puts daggers and Gardening tools in the same damn pocket!? I do.. Solan thought humorlessly, and whacked the approaching Zella in the face with his...gardening tool. It gave a screech, louder than the last and charged forward angrily.

"Don't come near me!" He uselessly shouted, and spread his arms open to catch their head. He grabbed it as it was ramming, and then dug his Gardener's shovel just below their eye.

{Zellas do have eyes, but they are pitch black and undeterminable from their black bodies. It looks like they have no eyes}

Corinne did a three sixty spin, her sword facing outwards. She had the appearence of a tornado as she stood on her tip toes, going round and round. Any of the winged creatures who were dumb enough to come near were slashed. One was cut on the wing, another avoided. Three Zellas left, well. Two, now that Corinne had beheaded the one with the broken wing. She turned around quickly, seeing the other monster go after Solan. "Solan, guard your back!" she screamed, rushing with inhuman speed as she sped toward the enemy. Corinne jumped in mid-air, launching a dagger from nowhere {actually from her dagger stash, hidded under her pants} and launched it into the Zella's head. Corinne was flying head first toward it, unable to stop. She was slashed again, gaining a cut in the face. Both landed to the ground, the other creature unmoving. Corinne tried to get up, but was shakey.


Luan shrugged. "All I know is it is about a days travel." he replied, not actually knowing for sure. "People used to talk about it where I worked.." he trailed off. Ashamed of his occupation. Only the lowest, poorest worked in the mines. "They said it was a days travel on foot, faster on horseback."

The one thing Solan accomplished was picking the eye out of the Zella, slipping off of its head and falling from the raised body part. It gave a pained screech, looking at Solan with dead rage and once again charged blindly forward. Yelping, Solan dodged by running to the side, watching as the creature rammed itself into the wall a bit too hard. It collapsed onto the floor, unconscious and bleeding from its open eye socket. That was the last Zella left (he thinks) in the cave, and he gave a sigh of relief.

Dear lord, that was almost as scary as the day the village was attacked... Almost of course.

Solan held up his gardening tool with a new sense of respect. Never again would he doubt their prowess in battle... The boy, adrenaline still up, looked over at Corinne to make sure the girl was alright, and went over. "Let me help you." He said and offered his arm as a make-shift stand for her to use.
