Isabelle sighed, sitting down on the floor. We should just wait... We might hurt ourselves if we try on our own. We haven't mastered any of our powers yet.... She stood up, her stomach growling. She groaned internally, and rolled her eyes. "I wonder what other people will think of us when we go out in public....... if we go out in public." she corrected herself, frowning.

"I know what you mean, I don't think that we would be able to go public at all." Amy replied I'm not sure if we would even want to, I mean, just look at us. We are abnormal, even though it's neat to have these abilities, I'm glad that I don't have anyone back home waiting for me. "But you never know,"

The cooks followed Andrew to the warehouse and when he opened the door the smell of the food flooded into the room.

"I'm glad that you are up," Andrew said with a smile. "Breakfast is served."

"Smells great, thank you." Amy said as she sat down at the appointed table.

Isabelle smelled food coming from down the hall, and she had already begun salivating. She sat down quickly, saying a quick prayer and eating some of the food that was placed before them. She smiled and after she swallowed the food in her mouth she said "This is great, thanks guys." she acknowledged the cooks. She took a huge gulp of her orange juice, chugging down the whole glass with one drink. She poured herself another glass, downing this one also. She filled her plate up again, and finished that one too. She sighed, her stomach finally at ease. She wanted to eat more, but it disgusted her to think of filling her glass and plate again.

Amy also got herself two plates, but she downed four glasses of water water instead of orange juice. "Yes, thank you." she said to the cooks. I can't believe that our appetite went from eating a whole cow to eating only two plates. But I don't think that we should stuff ourselves, because I think that Xander is going to have us work out our wings.

Xander came walking through the door with a smile on his face. "Good morning everyone," he greeted. "Are you ready to begin the first lesson? Or do you need to settle your stomachs for a bit?"

"Good morning Xander," Amy replied to him "I think that we need a minute or two before we get started."

Isabelle nodded, waiting a while. She stretched, cracking her knuckles and getting out of her chair into a standing position. She stretched her wings out, and then retracted them before she could hit a cook in the head with the large wings. She looked at Xander and asked "So are we going to test our wings out today?" She smiled and then thought to Amy Should we tell him about the mind reading. She didn't know why not, but she wanted to make sure Amy was okay with it before blurting it out. They were still getting used to this kind of stuff, and Isabelle couldn't really recognize the good from the bad.

I see no harm in it, we can if you would like to. Amy told her back.

"Yes, we will be getting to that today." Xander said to them. "Right after you both get done eating breakfast."

Amy nodded and hungrily ate her food, she couldn't wait until they started their training.

"Well, I'm finished... I wouldn't want to pig out." Isabelle answered. Yeah, I'll tell him. She turned over to look at Dr. Xander again, intertwining her fingers and wondering how to word her next sentence "Dr. Xander, we have discovered that we have the ability to communicate... Telepathically. We wonder what other unnatural things we might be able to do." She was surprised at how easy the words came out of her mouth. As if she was used to this kind of stuff. She sighed, wondering if she really could do something even more unnatural than telepathy. It was a long shot, but if they could both read each other's minds, they could probably do even more things. She was a bit scared to discover more, but it could be useful; for better... Or for worse.

Xander was surprised at what Isabelle had told him. "I am unsure, I can't say either way. That you both will have to find out on your own. I am not a mind reader, but what I am wondering if you can read other people's mind... But we shall find that out later on today, right now we have to get some practice in. Since both of you seem not to be too hungry this morning, I'd like to start your training right now."

"Alright clear out the building." Andrew called out and the cooks dispersed.

"Spread out so that your wings will not touch each other nor anything else around you." explained Xander "Flex your back muscles your wings will raise, then relax them so they fall. I want both of you to do that as long as you possibly can."

Amy did as Xander told her, she flexed her back muscles and then relaxed them. She felt a whoosh of air from her wings, she did it again and again to her amazement she began to tire. She wanted to do more but the movement of her muscles was not used to it so she tired easily. I didn't think that it would be so hard to do.

Isabelle nodded at Xander, taking a step to the left so that she could give Amy some room. She stretched out her wings, and followed Xander's command. She began to flex her back muscles, seeing and feeling the wings raise. She relaxed, the whoosh of air sounding around her, and she was lifted slightly so that only her tow-tips touched the ground. Isabelle continued this process several more times, but she began to ache. She frowned, wondering why she was tiring so easily. If I tire, then how will I be able to train more today? She asked herself, and without knowing it; Amy.

She shrugged and said sheepishly "I guess I'm getting a bit tired now. I usually can train more than that." She rolled her eyes at herself Usually... Compared to what? This isn't usual. This is quite.... Unusual. She dismissed the obvious and thought If we get more training, we'll probably be able to do more. She felt disappointed that all of her training in the army would be useless now, and they would have to begin a whole new training if they were going to get used to being.... Unusual.

Amy felt the same way that Isabelle did. She wanted to do more but the resistance of her muscles begged her not to, so she let them fall in defeat. We should be able to keep training, but not as long we once did.

"Both of you have been laid up for weeks, so your muscles are not as they used to be, so you will get tired quicker than normal." Andrew said trying to encourage them. "Taking a break here and there will help your muscles recover."

"Exactly right," Xander agreed "A young bird must strengthen it's wings before it can fly."
