Raquel snarled, jerking her arms towards her, ever-tightening the shadowy fingers around Siona, not unlike a Boa Constrictor. She paid no more attention to the murkiness at their side, the deep rumble that vibrated the ocean floor beneath them, even the very waters themselves. It became increasingly loud, and Raquel knew that in order for all of them to get away without dying, she would have to let Siona go...her power of talking to animals meant nothing when it came to this beast, the creature that was arising from its deep slumber at the fault of Siona and Raquel.
With a strangled cry of frustration, Raquel released the siren from her dark grip and launched forward, trying to grab the boy's arms. At the same exact moment, something burst from the abyss with the defeaning sound of a shrieking roar; nothing could be seen except some dark, scaly, monumental form that came from the depths of the ocean.

Siona smirked, swam back and was floating over the trench "Uh, uh, uh." She taunted, and started to swim down into the trench, when she'd swum a little way she let the boy go. Letting whatever was there eat him. Then she swam up, quickly, knowing it was going to come up soon. She started to swim away, when she was a little way off she floated there, waiting to see what creature would emerge and attack the Mermaids.

Ty swam around. She didn't bother to take part of what was happening. She smiled and looked around. Her blonde hair felt like tangle of seaweed. She sighed and flipped. Her nose filled with water and Ty immediately came up to the surface. She shook her head.

Landon was nearly unconscious now. The screeching roar the creature gave off seemed way off in the distance to him. In fact, he hardly had any control over his arms and legs since he had lost all of the breath that he had. He was just slowly sinking down when Siona had let go of him. Well, at least he would die in the water. That would have been his chosen place to die, anyway. He closed his eyes and awaited his fate.

Ty turned around. She swam over to the trench. She looked down. Landon was sinking. Shrugging, Ty swam and flipped. She circled Landon.

Raquel darted forward as quickly as was possible, diving down into the abyss to grab Landon securely in her arms, then kicked upward again, rocketing above the trench, headed straight for the surface without waiting at all. This boy was going to die if he didn't get air soon; and once he did, Raquel was going to high-tail it out of there ASAP...the creature would be after them soon.
And that's when it emerged fully from the trench. With another defeaning roar, it reared its ugly, venemous head, teeth bared and webbed claws expanded, his ravenous gaze fixed on Raquel and the boy retreating directly above him.

Ty looked at the creature. She shivered and looked at them. The girl and Landon were swimming to shore(?). Ty silently followed them. She was totally aware of everything, for the creature seemed quite silent, but anywhere it could pop out.

Siona's smirked widened, her eyes filled with cruel, cold laughter as she watched the creature emerge. This was were the fun begins, even if they did make it to the surface they would still get eaten by that creature. It had tentacles on its head which could reach out and grab them, it was truely a magnificent creature of Hell. Siona kept floating there, if she had to get out of here, it would be easy enough.

Raquel broke through the surface of the water, hoisting Landon above her, pressing on his stomach for a second to help him breathe. She looked around frantically, then down beneath them; where the approaching topaz-yellow eyes of the Leviathan could be seen coming towards them. She hissed in anger and looked for the nearest island; it was the one where she'd been before, and it would have to do. She hooked her arms under Landon's again and kicked off, swimming at an incredibly rapid pace for the island that was too far away for her taste.
And when she glanced behind her, she saw another mermaid with an annoyingly calm look on her face; and following that, the massive, jagged, spiny top fin of the creature following them. It was less than seven feet behind the other mermaid. Raquel turned to face forward once more and kicked it into gear, swimming as fast as possible for the shoreline that was steadily getting closer.
