[[ Tobias Camerons
Tobias was being rather patient, being his usual self with this girl. Her voice gave him the feeling of being lost in a cold, dark room. It wasn't what he'd like to listen to on a daily basis, but even if it did get on his nerves a bit, he was at work. Keeping it calm and professional was what he had to do, but he knew chatting away wasn't really professional. He mentally shrugged off the professional part.
Her words about Richard slightly disturbed him. He gave them this life to live, after all...but, there was some truth in there. Maybe he could be a bit more worried about them. The sight of everyone often saddened him, so he usually just returned the next day, casually handing them something. He was a nice guy by heart, which often left him with little on certain days. He was fine with it, though. His time was long in the future, so devoting himself to such a thing was easy. After all, who didn't deserve food, and even a happy smile? Everyone deserved it.
Tobias listened on, even though some things about her bothered him. He was slightly surprised at her meeting his eyes, his mouth opening slightly. He stood there like that for a short amount of time, but it was quite noticeable. Clearing his throat, he opened his mouth to speak. "You may be a stranger, sure, but life is really too short. Besides, a lot of the people here value their money over anything else, but I'm sure you know that quite well." He no longer had a smile on his face. It had been replaced by a normal face, a straight line for a mouth. His eyes darted away towards the edge of another table, his mouth staying still as stone while he thought. "I wouldn't think of it as charity..." He finally uttered, his eyes coming back to look at Sawyer. He didn't look her in the eyes, no, but more just at her face in general. "I would think of it more as a friendly gesture, maybe even a prize." Tobias' voice had gone significantly quiet in his last words, and after he had finished, he eyed a napkin holder on the table.
