Cade looked up from his book when he heard a loud thud and crash. He stopped moving and looked over the top of his book making sure he wasn't the one who had dropped something or ran into an object. Slowly, he lowered his book, closing it on his finger to mark his page. He looked around and noticed he hadn't made it through the lunchroom door. Another glance around him showed him a small group and many heads turned toward the seen. A girl swiftly move past him. A longer glance of the girl as she strode away told him it was Sophie. Again he turned and looked back at the group. Apparently he had missed something. But he didn't feel like sticking around to find out. He wasn't much for gossip and all and he would here about it soon enough from the thousands of voices in the school; teachers, students, ghosts sometimes even the armour and tapestries seemed to talk. With that he followed Sophie out of the room and took the first hallway on the right, going back to reading.

Coda clenched her fists together. Eyes blazing at Sophie, oh why did she always have to do this. She looked over at Chris, "Again. . . sorry for her behavior. But next time try to put up with her snappy attitude. . ." she suggested, turning to follow Sophie out.
She trailed behind Cade until he veered off to another turn, and then she went to Sophie's side. "You alright?" she asked, nudging her friend.

Nan watched Chris walk away, then waved good bye and made for the lunch line. Mmm, the table was filled with every kind of food imaginable. She grabbed some fish and chips then scanned the lunchroom for an empty table. There didn't seem to be any.... there! In the corner there was a mostly empty table, right next to the window. She pulled a milk out of the pile in the cooler and made her way through the crowded room to the table. I wonder why no ones sitting here. It has a nice view of the grounds and- Suddenly, the door to outside openned behind her, letting in a blast of cold air. Nan allowed herself a small squeal as her back tightned up, earning a few snickers from the older kids around her. She stayed at the table, not showing them she was going to be weak and move, no matter how much she wanted to. The only signs of her discomfort was the tighting of her back and shoulders every time someone pushed through the door. Nan started to quickly scarf down her fish before the cold air cooled them.
