Maria strolled out into the garden. Few people straggled at the ball so she was able to sneak off. She smiled slightly, amazed by how beautiful it was. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed another person was in the garden. It took her a few seconds to recognized her as Crystal, a fellow maid from Elyadon. "And just where have you been all night?" She said walking over, a grin on her face

Crystal jumped 'Ah!, i-i was out" she stuttered nervously. She swallowed and looked around anxiously for a reason, she couldn't tell Maria that she was out Gypsy Dancing last night!. Though she knew it she would eventually tell Maria what she was doing, she blushed adn smiled thinking about Alex "Okay, can you keep this a secret fromt he head maid?".

A sing-song laugh escaped her lips. "I have a feeling you wouldn't be able to hold it in even if I said I would snitch. But I won't. I promise." Maria said with eager eyes and a brilliant smile. Crystal had always been much more daring than herself and always seemed to have the best stories

Serena listened to the kings speak and froze when she heard she had to marry Alexander instead of Zerrick. Her gaze flickered around the room, staring at KC and raising a small eyebrow, knowing that if they wanted the idea to be put in the Kings' minds, they should say it now. But she didnt want to do anything without KC standing behind her. Serena's gaze then moved between the Kings and she took a deep breath. She closed her eyes for a moment before reopening them. Maybe it was improper, but it was now or never. The girl decided to fight and soon spoke with a clear, confident, calm voice. "No." She could always make up a lie if Kaleb disagreed with this, but for now, she once stood up.

Kaleb turned, a bit surprised, to Serena. He didn't think she would bring it up today, so soon after the death of her brother, but it was happening. She was going to tell them. And Kaleb wanted her to. He took a deep breath and walked over to Serena, and folded her hand in his. Their parents seemed a bit shocked. Well, perhaps more than shocked, based on her mother's expression. "We have a different proposition, your majesties." he said, addressing all of them. "I can take the place of Alexander. He wants the position much less than I. Serena and I will marry. You will have no loose ends, and you shall also have a happier couple. Please." he said, his gaze flickering between the two sets of rulers.

"Well.. This is an interesting bond. We shall think upon it." was all his father said. He examined his son curiously, while his mother looked on, an unreadable expression on her face. One could rarely tell what she was thinking of.

Serena smiled softly as KC stood next to her, holding her hand. The timing might be horrible, but they were changing the treaty now. She watched her parents, her mother seemed to be rather shocked and her father just had a rather blank expression. "Your Majesties, I do realize this is quite a shock, especially after the current events. Though KC and I have been hiding this for a long time. I love him and he loves me. If Kaleb takes Alexander's place, the kingdoms will still be united, and we would be two of the happiest persons in the world. We all know the people will also be happy if there is for once a marriage out of love. The price of peace is high, while it comes free with love this time." The girl bit her lip shyly and held KC's hand, looking up at him to see if she hadn't said something terribly wrong.

Listening on as the Kings and Queens of both kingdoms discussed the new arrangements, Nick could only feel pity and sorrow for Tristan. Having to give up his freedom to assume the role of the Eldest Prince was not going to be easy. Nick sighed and looked down at the ground. Upon hearing that Serena would be marrying Prince Alexander instead of Zerrick, Nick looked up. You could tell that quite a few of the royals were shocked at this new arrangement. What had happened to Prince Zerrick? Why couldn't he marry Serena? Nick was so consumed by his thoughts that when a single word cut through the room, a word of defiance, spoken from the quiet Serena, Nick though he had heard wrong. Everyone watched in shock as Prince Kaleb walked over to Serena and held her hand. Together, they proposed for a new marriage arrangement - for Prince Kaleb to assume the role as the 'Eldest Prince' and marry Serena. Nick smiled gently as he looked on at the happy couple. Yes, he supposed that it was a good idea, it made his sister happy and Kaleb seemed like a nice person. Nick nudged Tristan. "Do you have anything you like? If so, say it now," he whispered.

Kriss is a bubbly and free sort of person. She does as she's told, even when she thinks she's right. She's kind of stubborn and hates to be laughed at. She's not much of a fighter, but she has a temper that can easily be reached. However, she is also a very kind, intelligent, and caring soul. She tends to do more than expected of her. In a good way, I mean.
History:
You don't want to know. Well, you asked for it. Born in a teeny tiny village on the eathernmost border of Eyladon, her father was easily enraged at the quality of her work. He kept thinking it was terrible. So she was consequently deprived of food for a day. She couldn't stay like that, not eating barely anything, just the table scraps her three sisters saved for her. She ran away about after a few weeks of this. She collapsed in a forest to be found by a kindly woman who helped her find work and be safe.
