Tally blinked as she saw Taiven appear. It took her a moment to realize he was shirtless; she was so oblivious! She supposed that she had seen Jonah, Louis and Riley shirtless enough when they dived off the pier at District Four, but still. As the memories of canon-balling off the edge into the salt water took over her mind, Tallulah instantly felt home sick. Taiven was the only thing from home now, apart from Darrien.
She laughed a little at Taiven. "I'd consider mine to be rather... sea-like in color, I suppose." she shrugged, standing out of the way to let Taiven peer into the room. "To be honest, I'm glad I kept my own shoes on at the least.. the clothes in there were enough to make me want to throw up." she joked, realizing that her statement actually wasn't much of an exaggeration. "Never worn a skirt, or a dress, and I don't want to break that tradition." she raised an eyebrow, "Your wardrobe didn't consist of a shirt, then?" she laughed a little, unconsciously crossing her legs again.
She ruffled her hair, and frowned when she realized that she didn't smell of District Four anymore; there was no salty air about her. She hated it: she felt as if she'd been taken away from her District completely.
"D'you wanna go sit somewhere?" she asked Taiven, not really wanting to stand in the middle of a corridor for the rest of the journey.

Taiven Baxter || District 4

Tavien leaned to the side as Tally moved over to let him see into her room. Their rooms had to have been messed up. Hers was so much more..homey. That was how he imagine his room being not yellow and green and red. His was enough to burn his eyes the colors were so bright. He supposed he shouldn't stare at anything in his room. "Lucky," he said with mock jealousy as he looked at Tally again. "I think they messed our rooms up. Mine's too bright," he complained to her, wishing he had a better room only though they were only to spend around a couple of hours on the train before they arrived at the Capitol.

He looked at her clothes as she mentioned her terrible wardrobe. Gray stretchy pants and a shirt with her old boots on. Hearing the other things she had, he would have rather seen her in a pretty skirt. He liked girls to wear stuff like that, but this was just Tally. It didn't kill him that she wasn't wearing one. He hardly knew her. If she happened to be one of the many girls that swooned over him in school, he would have had fun suggesting she wore something prettier and then picking out her outfit. Why he didn't know, but it might be a little funny. Maybe.

He stopped thinking about that when she mentioned his lack of a shirt. He huffed in humor. "Didn't look. I just wanted shorts," he admitted. "Plus, if they had time to tell anyone I was chosen as a tribute, they probably didn't give me a shirt," he said, referring to his exceptional build conceitedly, though humor tinged his words enough for the conceit to maybe slip by Tally.

He nodded his head in answer to her question. "Yeah. Maybe we could find the dining room or whatever it is in this place and they'll be pressured to serve us dinner. What time is it?" he asked, looking around the corridor for a clock that he figured wasn't in there.

She smiled slightly at his comment on their rooms. Shrugging, she replied, "To be honest, I don't mind. We can swap if it's that eye-hurting."
She felt somewhat comfortable in her own shoes, glad she had kept them - though, no doubt, she'd be commanded to change them by somebody, whether it was to be a Capitol person or Darrien. At and rate, she would refuse to change them, and she would definitely not wear a dress; no, no, no. That wasn't Tally Gray; Tally Gray was the tom-boy, the one who wore boy-ish clothes every day and hardly ever made an effort to change her appearance for anybody.
She laughed quietly. "Fair enough," she shrugged, "Just reckon it would be a little awkward to end up at the dinner table with no shirt." not that she had table manners, but she figured it would be awkward when they all sat at the dinner table.
"Not sure what the time is.." she blinked, turning her head in the direction they had came, "I suppose it's probably a bit early, though. There's bound to be somewhere to just sit about here somewhere..."
She began to walk down the corridor, "Feel like going to inspect?"

"My name is Sierra Rocky Jones."

Image
Basics
Username: Very Merry
Character Name:
"Again, my name is Sierra Rocky Jones."

District:
"I'm from District 11, Agriculture."

Age:
"I'm 17 years old, and moving up."

Gender:
"If you havent noticed all ready, I am a female."

Family:
"Well, since my parents died in a trip to the Capitol, I was alone with my younger sister. That one day, that day, I was at the reaping, and the lady pulled out my name. I wish shocker, Gamemakers squirming around me, pushing me towards the deadly stage. But, my younger sister, who was 13 at the time, oh and her name was Lexi, stepped up. Of course, she knew nothing about survival, and died the first day. I never was the same, until now. I have to step it up, to win. For my sister.

Friends:
"Back home, all I have is my best friend, James."

Allies in arena:
"So far..none."

In-Depth
Personality:
"You want to know my personality, now? Well, get ready to hide under a rock. Or, jump off a cliff. Either one would do, really. Well, here it is. Smart. That is one word to describe me. Even though I've been working in the fields my whole life, I know a thing or two. Like, teaching to mockingjays to look over the fields, and come down, whistiling a three-note song, meaning a plant, or something is dying. Pretty smart, right? Anyways, fierce. Thats another word. I am not afraid to stand up, and fight. I barely run from anything, unless it is something you cant kill, but can kill you. Easy enough, right?

Appearance:
"Well, I dont take an hour to do my hair in the mirror, if thats what you mean. No, I have long, brown, curly hair, that I normally just put up in a french braid my mother had taught me. I always wear what I can get, which isnt a lot, so sometimes I end up wearing the same thing a lot."

Backstory/History:
"My history. Well, when I was four years old, my sister was 2 years old. That was when my parents had decided to go to the Capitol together, delivering special medicine plants. Thats when it happened. We waited. One day. Two days. Then heard the news, from my friend, James. When they were coming back, on the train, well..it blew up, along with my parents. Until the Hunger Games a couple years ago, I decided to pick up sword-fighting, and archery. Plus, I sneak some medicine into our house, and tend to some wounded people that come. But, when my sister died, I dropped everything, and returned to being shy, and to the fields.

Flaws:
"Oh goodness, I always drop everything for those I love. Also, I am absolutley terrified of spiders, and seeing people you know..dying."

Strengths:
"I'm pretty good at archery, but amazing at sword-fighting. Plus, I'm a pretty good med."

Preferred weapons:
"I preffer a nice, long sword, and a bow and arrow. If I dont have those, well..I'm in trouble."

Skills & talents:
"Like I said, good sword-fighter, and archer. Plus, I can sing a little, and whistle loudly, which only helps in the fields."

Likes:
"Definatley James, um..swords? Does that even count?"

Dislikes:
"SPIDERS! Um..watching people die, trains, and airplanes. Basically any moving vehicle!

Fears:
"Spiders, havent I told you that? Moving vehicles..

Clothing style:
"Just casual stuff, like jeans and a plain shirt. Thats all, and all I like."

Strategy & tactics:
"When training, I make it look like I'm super smart, smarter then I am. But, never touch the sword. Once people find out I'm good, they'll try to get me.

Sierra Jones
District Eleven

My eyes widened. It couldnt be true, could it? But then again, it was. My heart races as I load onto the train, my grey eyes looking back at my district, wondering if I would ever see it again. Probably not, but I would rather die then come back. I would have nobody to congradulate me. Nobody to share my fame. So, I sit on a small cart, and try to keep strong as I watch the fading picture of my district disappear. Will I ever work in the fields again? Even if I did win, and become victor, I still would be so rich, that I wouldnt need to. But, that field was the only thing that kept me..well, me. I dont think I could live without touching the sweet touch of the dirt, the squirmy worms around in the palm of my cold hand. But, I notice as the Capitol is coming..its real.

Taiven Baxter || District 4

He laughed at Tally's willingness to switch rooms. "Nah, the ride's only a couple of hours," he said. It didn't matter to him that much. He was just enjoying complaining. It wasn't that he didn't hate his room, but he didn't want to give such a hideous room to Tally. She would regret it if he did switch rooms with her even if she did only have to spend a few minutes in it.

He shrugged. "Awkward? Nah. If they tell me to put a shirt on, I will, but truth be told, I hate shirts," he said, which was true. Whenever the chance came around, he would be one of the first people to rip his shirt off. Swimming, fishing, exerting energy. He'd take his shirt off just to answer the door because it would let warm air in if his father didn't scold him on the rudeness of it. If he survived the Games and got his own house in the victor's village, he'd definitely be answering his door shirtless. He just felt more free, less restricted without one on. It was the reason he was so hateful towards his stiff suit with its heavy fabric. He was used to a flimsy shirt or none at all. To say the least, the suit was an unwelcome change of attire.

Nodding, he agreed with Tally as he looked in the direction she was. "Yeah..Too bad. I'm already starving," he commented, though he really wished to venture no further in finding the dining room. It wasn't like they were going to be forgotten by everyone on the train and were left to just starve. Plus, the train ride wasn't very long. He could hold out and instead watched Tally as she ventured down the corridor. "Sure," he said enthusiastically, quickly following after the brunette. Once he caught up with her, he slowed his pace and looked around. "We could just open doors until we find a nice place to sit," he suggested, boldly walking up to the first door and trying to open it. It stayed firmly in place when he yanked on it. "Locked," he said before looking back at Tally. "Wonder what's behind it," he said thoughtfully. "Wanna see me try and kick it down?" he asked mischievously and also a bit teasingly, raising his eyebrows and grinning in a way that matched his tone. Of course, he wasn't going to kick it down as much as he wanted to.

(( I've been making Taiven think Tally's younger than him, but I just recently rediscovered that she's the same age as him. Maybe Taiven needs glasses. xD. ))

"I hate dresses, you hate shirts. I think we're even," she smiled a little, before adding, "The stylists will just love us, won't they?" she was dreading the stylists; she knew for a fact that they wouldn't let her keep her boots, or any of her own clothing for that matter.
She raised an eyebrow as he suggested kicking down a door. To be completely honest, she wouldn't mind kicking a door down; it would help get rid of the anger she'd been bottling up since her name had been taken out of the glass bowl. She grinned mischievously, "Reckon you could, without a bother." she said, her eyes flickering to his bare chest. "Not a weakling, are you?" before adding, "Go on, then, prove that Darrien's words just weren't words." she joked. Of course they weren't going to break a door down; that would be silly.
She walked to the next door, turning the stiff knob. Shoving it open with ease, Tally tilted her head. The room was white with some blue furniture, but was rather empty. With a grin on her face, she bolted across the room and threw herself into one of the over-sized armchairs. She sank into it a little. Throwing her legs up over the arm of the chair, she smiled a little. "I think this will suffice." she called to Taiven, her eyes looking the room over. There was another loveseat opposite hers, with a coffee table in-between. Otherwise, the room was quite empty, apart from a painting of an ancient ship on a nearby wall.

Taiven Baxter || District 4

Listening to Tally, it was actually pretty tempting to go ahead and kick the door down. It was obvious, though, she was joking and so had he. Too bad it wasn't a real challenge. Then he would have kicked the door down or at least, he would have tried to. He figured anything made for the Capitol was reinforced. Maybe. His eyes shifted back to the door in interest. Wouldn't it be cool if he could kick down a reinforced door? He wasn't stupid or too childish, but it did sound fun to try. He settled for tapping on the metal door with his finger a few times. It didn't give like it did when he tried shoving his way into it. Yeah, it was probably reinforced. "I wish," he said in a huffy tone, eying the door a final time before he turned to Tally as she opened a door with more luck than him.

He didn't hesitate following after her, soon standing directly behind her in the doorway. It was a really empty, white room. Basically, it was boring. Really boring. Adding a pop of color to the room was a sparse amount of blue furniture. It looked frosty and he imagined the air being much more icy than it was. It was just an average temperature, but he was actually a little surprised it wasn't climate controlled where it wouldn't be icy to match its appearance. He watched Tally suddenly bolt across the room and pounce into a love seat. He grinned at her. "Suits me," he said with a small shrug.

Making a much less interesting entrance than her, he walked in and looked around the empty room as if he was looking for something else. It did seem pretty empty. Once he reached the seat across from her on the other side of a frosted glass coffee table that he hadn't even noticed before. He slouched down into the almost overstuffed love seat across from Tally. "Sheesh. I could get lost in this thing," he commented, bouncing on it for a moment in his sitting position, sinking himself down in the cushion a bit more. "Fun to bounce on, though," he credited, bouncing on it a few more times before he decided he hated his position. He shifted himself into a position similar to Tally's, but kept on going until his knees bent over the back of the seat and his head dangled off of the couch, upside down. He was looking at Tally's face through the glass coffee table this way. She looked a lot like something spilled on a table, a tannish blob. "Not to insult you, but did I ever tell you how much you looked like spilled chocolate milk?" he asked with a grin.

"Agreed," she laughed a little, continuing to sink slowly into the seat, "For such fancy people, they can't seem to make a proper chair. Though, I must admit, it must be entertaining to those of whom.. are easily amused." she laughed at Taiven as he bounced in the chair. She continued to laugh as she watch him pull himself into different positions, before settling with his legs thrown over the back of the chair and his head hanging upside down. She grinned at him through the glass coffee table. "Thank you kindly." she grinned, tilting her head. "You don't look half bad actually. A little blurry, but your beautiful face is still perfectly visible." she said sarcastically, her grin expanding.

After a moment, she sighed lightly. They were having a random conversation, and she was actually feeling alright - but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel that they were on a death-train of doom. They were going to the Capitol - they were going to compete in the Games. And she had to survive: she simply had to.

"To think.." she frowned, "Just this morning, I was walking along the beach back home. Just this morning, I was walking through the streets. It feels like a millennia ago." she didn't say it straight out, but she was already terribly home-sick. She'd never been outside District Four before, and she had hoped that it would never happen in the first place. She was day-dreaming again, and, absentmindedly, she said, "I wonder if either of us will survive."
