Alto snapped his fingers and struck a pose that spoke of ending the battle. No, of ending what he saw as a symphony. Immediately, Altaria stopped short of Cradily and just started to peck at it softly to wake the pokemon up. "That was very brave of you, forfeiting. Most people see it as something cowardly, but it isn't. It takes less courage to continue a battle than it does to admit defeat. Sometimes, there are walls that cannot be overcome through strength alone. You found one of these walls." Now, Alto obviously couldn't give a badge out for two reasons. One, he wasn't allowed to do so without being defeated in battle. Two, this hadn't been an officially sanctioned battle. Still, he supposed the boy did deserve a reward....of sorts. "Despite your courage, however, I cannot bestow the Earth Badge upon you. However, I can offer you something else. A position as my apprentice, learning to listen to the melody of battle and allowing your pokemon to fight to that symphony. You could learn no better than by watching someone who learned that lesson from his own pokemon, his own friend."

Stephanie gave a soft smile, "Mismagius, go" She said, softly, releasing the pokemon to show the pretty purple, ghost type, "First move is yours~" She said, in a sing song voice, though she released Mawile to watch by her feet. "Good luck" She added as a final show of her confidence as she prepared to battle.

Destery immediately went to his Pokemon's side, throwing his arms around it's neck, no sooner did he touch him, the tentacles started to weave around Destery's waist, shoulder and leg, lifting it's head up, carrying Destery with him, the Cradily looked slightly confused as Destery's grip tightened before affectionately nuzzling his trainer. Finally looking up from Cradily to the other man, he hesitated, "I don't know, I don't know if I really want to become a great trainer, I mainly set out on this journey to gain more experience and knowledge, I'd have to ask if this is what my partner, my team and I really want..." He chewed his lip before looking back to Cradily, who was now watching the Altaria, reaching his head out to examine the bird, closer, taking Destery with him. Being held up now by the pink, soft tentacles, Destery couldn't help but smile slightly at the Cradily, "I guess it's up to my team, if they think we should do it or not" He finally decided.

Kusi grins side stepping and calls out. "Arcanine fire blast!" The huge pokemon erupted into flames a huge wall of fire launching from him towards the ghost type.

Stephanie grinned, and just as the fire was about to hit Mismagius, "Use Phantom Force" And the Pokemon vanished, leaving the battlefield silent except for the crackling sound of the fire racing towards Stephanie and Mawile, "Protect" She mumbled to her other pokemon, and immediately it's two mouths opened releasing a green force field that surrounded Stephanie and Mawile as the fire engulfed the circular shield. After a few moments, the smoke parted to reveal Mawile and Stephanie completely untouched.

Kusi smirks broadly clearly impressed at this, but this was only her firstr attack to test the defenses. "Alright, for my first attack, hope youve got more moves than that though your your in trouble, its your turn my lady." Kusi smirks and winks over at Stephanie.

"It was nice meeting you. But I have to go. Actually, I never caught your name." she said turning to Selina.

Alto waved a hand dismissively as Altaria flew back to settle on Steelix's head, back over to where her trainer stood. Now, she wasn't being uptight or anything of the sort; Altaria just wanted to stay near the man she had met as a Swablu. Battle was one time she could not always do this, but outside of battle was another story. "Very well. I suppose it is fair to leave the decision up to your team, though part of the decision should also come from you. After all, it won't be just your pokemon going through my training regime if my offer is accepted. You too will evolve as an individual. Don't look at it as becoming a stronger trainer; look at it as becoming a stronger individual and becoming capable of hearing the melody within the hearts of your pokemon friends."
