I couldn't take it any more I threw myself at the mangy mutt and tackled him effectively throwing him off of Riley.

Riley let out a gasp as she landed hard on her back, driving her breath from her body. Her wings felt like they were on fire, she was sure they'd hurt later. "Why you!" She sputtered, trying to get her breath back. Lifting her leg, she brought it down hard on his shoulder.

Storm slid against the dirt. He was angerd, and got up quickly, lunging towards the kid who through him off.

Riley lay on the ground, gasping and trying to get her breath back. After a few moments, she was on her feet again, but one wing was tucked tightly behind her back while the other was open wide for balance. "Go home you stupid wolf!" She shouted, running forward and taking a running leap, nailing him square in the back with a powerful kick, which was cool up until she tripped and stumbled backward, falling into a tree from her lack of balance.

"Riley!" Growling I stared the wolf down hoping he would retreat so I could check on her.
