Mai cantered down the path. Her bow was held ready with an arrow nocked so she could draw it back quickly if need be. Her senses were on high alert for intruders and other dangers. The three beat gait rhythmically pushed her forwards as she patrolled the east border. Her sword lay sheathed along her left side and her shield was strapped to the other. Her black hair and tail waved in the wind created by her speed. Even at her pace, she was able to see every detail making sure no threats were present.
