She was becoming quite drowsy, comfortable even against the harsh bark of the tree as she listened to the lull of the music. She wondered what sort of instrument it was called, what it’s name was, how he could get different notes every time he hit the strings. She was always one to enjoy a puzzle, and solving something new. She listened as the last notes drifted and stopped, and gave a small sigh. She was quite content with her first day out, and realized she would enjoy this island more than she originally thought.
She was slightly disappointed it had ended though, that much she had to admit.
‘It was lovely, finally hearing music once more,’ She thought. It was rare she ever used words within her thoughts, as she tended to only imagine images, simply understand concepts without wording them, and only felt feelings that she preferred not to name. She supposed it was a side-effect of only being able to send images within the minds of others. Perhaps it was also why she sometimes had troubles wording sentences, as even her own thoughts were usually devoid of them. She was quite surprised when he had come over to her though, asking her of what she needs. Her eyes instantly narrowed slightly, as she suspiciously tried to figure out any darker motivation behind it. None really came to mind, and her mind faded back to imagery.
Still, she did have to answer. “I am in need of no things. I had simply decided to eavesdrop. I apologize if such a thing bothered you, but, as you play in a place open to all of the public, I had decided I had a right to listen to music. My compliments, by the way.” She added the last sentence with a warmer tone than the rest of it.
