"Marrage?" Elenwen chuckled, her broken gray eyes still there though a hint of red seemed to peice the blank rim "To love is ultimatly selffish-- to give one fully to another and let them concume your mind. To love is to shove away true duty to accomidate your duty to one." she said in an almost song-like way as she looked over at the two girls. Love only got you into trouble, it only every got you in trouble and aching... she had learned that for herself not to long ago, you could never win, instead you got to live every day knowing you could lose.

Will followed along heading to the inn, they should probably tell the girls the plan first, before they did anything rash. He could see many guards already inside the tavern, arguing with many of the patriens about leaving, many seemed drunk but Will couldn't be bothered to care. He stuck his hands into his pockets, seeing the emptying street as they went farther from the town center. He opened the door to the inn, none of the guards seemed to have been here yet to shoo people out but they would be here soon enough.

Diana sat there in shock."Are you feeling well, Elenwen? You seem to have changed." Diana looked in Elenwens eyes."I'm quite tired of EVERYONE telling me who i am to love, and what i am to do. Your right... I shouldn't marry David, even though I've been waiting my entire life for the one man i love to ask my hand. I dont know anything because im so young. HA! I should have known, after you 'learn' the 'true' ways of this evil and dark place, you think that you can go philosiphuing ot everyone? I came up here with good news and you tell me that i am a fool. Why, Elenwen? What have ever done to you?" Diana said,crying

Elenwen looked completely unphased, the red taking over the gray; so much for keeping the demons out. "There is nothing you have done to me. I simply intend to warn you" she said in a calm and cool voice, almost biting. She took out a card, yet again the king of hearts, she hated to card, she hated it so much. "Love is a beautiful thing, but beauty never lasts. People change." she flipped the card around in her hand and watched as it changed to the king of spades "And hearts are such an easy thing to break." she said, ripping the card in two "Some times its just better if it disappears." she whispered, her eyes turning blue again, she didn't like hurting and she only wished to try and save her friends from it.

"Elenwen, are you really using tarot cards?" Diana asked. She hated those things. So many false prophecies came from those , Diana almost killed herself for one. For that matter, she almost killed david for one. It was easier to ask her crystal ball, or read tea leaves. It was easier for her, and easier on her. Sometimes though, diana would compare prophecies,or... see if a death would be coming up.

"Yes." Elenwen said through gritting teeth, "What about them?" she hissed, she loved her terot cards... well not loved them but they did their job. They weren't any terot cards either, they had been Madam Oreal's cards, they had been past down through Elenwen's clan from leader to leader and now they were her's even if she no longer had a clan to lead. She ahd gone through much to earn them and unlike other decks of cards these ones worked; they had real magic in them, Dark magic.

"I'm gonna back up..."Diana said."All i did was ask a question. I just dont like terot cards becuase a lot of times people misread them. I've almost killed people over terot cards... Just a question but, what were my cards?"Diana asked. It was always good to be cautious.

Elenwen's hands floated over her deck, each card seeming to spark when he hand came near it. She whispered a quick word under her breath and three of the cards turned black. She lifted them up and watched as the black slipped away, like oil running along water. "The king of hearts, the two of spades and the..." Elenwen looked at the third card in her hand, seeing the cackling face of the joker as it laughed at her. She let out a squeel, tossing the card across the room as though it was a viper. She edged into the opposite corner of the room and pressed her hands to her ears, squeezing her eyes shut as she tried to get the laughing out of her head. Oh how she hated the laughter.

"J-j-joker?"Diana asked. She knew Elenwen well enough to know that when Elenwen did that she usually saw a bad card. It was pretty safe to assume that she had seen one of the worst.

David ran up the stairs hearing the scream."Diana! What's wrong!"
