Prussia said nothing and took another drink, staring at the wall. Okay, so he was a little irked- but maybe that wasn't entirely it. If anything, he felt somewhat guilty for what had happened. Hungary had been sick and in pain- weakened to the point where she couldn't fend them off. From the moment she was attacked to the moment they were rescued, had her life not been in his hands? And yet he had allowed her to get injured so poorly... He sighed, glancing down at her fingers with a frown. "No, you're wrong... I could've done more, Liz..." Perhaps that's why Germany was angering him- because he was painfully right. Admitting a weakness like this wasn't easy.

Hungary bit her lip and looked away for a moment. How could he have done more. Sure, he missed the man and therefore she got shot in the stomach, but that meant nothing. He was just trying to protect her, and that's all he could've of done. She had been weak and she was the one who could of done more. She tried fighting back, yes, but she only got weaker and ended up getting hurt. Maybe she needed to talk to Prussia about what he could have done. "What do you think you could've done? How do you think it would of helped us better?" She asked him, looking him straight in the eyes.

"I don't #*%@ing know!" Prussia snapped, though soon glanced apologetically at her and lowered his eyes again. "I just... Like West said, I... Could've been smarter." Man, this was hard to force off his tongue...! "I was an effin' idiot and ran into the room without thinking ahead. I just endangered myself and that didn't help anything. Then I shot at the guy who had you, missed, and got your wrist broken and your stomach shot. After that I didn't even think anymore- I just got pissed, and shot down, and you were taken..." He exhaled, eyes slipping shut. "Let's see... I could've tried finding you sooner too... Oh, $%*# it all, I screwed up, just..."

Hungary had flinched as Prussia snapped, but her eyes soon softened as he continued. She gave a small sigh before giving a small smile to him. "You were worried about me, Gil'. It's hard to think of what to do when you are worried. And so what if you missed? He could've shot me through the head and then it would be all over. You need to find a brighter side in every situation. Even if I was captured and tortured, we got rid of the guys, didn't we? They could have done a lot of things to me, but you got there in time before they did. You did nothing wrong, and you did the best you could possibly do. And I'm happy for that." Her smile grew slightly and she now grabbed Prussia's hand.

But his best hadn't been good enough... All the same, as his eyes traveled from the ground to their hands, a tiny sigh passed his lips and he lightly squeezed her hand tighter. "You should probably blame me more than you are, you know..." A true smile grew on his face for a moment, and his eyes upturned toward her face. "... Thanks, Liz." He held her gaze for a moment before turning around, facing his brother. Uh... Oops. Germany wasn't supposed to hear that... "Breathe a word of this and I will make you the laughing stock of the globe."

Hungary gave a small giggle and grinned. "You're welcome. And I couldn't possibly blame you. If there was anyone to blame, it would all be on the gang members." At least she had managed to cheer up Prussia. She gave another laugh as Prussia threatened Germany. Of course he didn't want his brother saying that Prussia was wrong and that he was right. It would just humiliate the Prussian.
Germany raised a hand up. "I promise, I promise. But I can't help it if somebody asks me, so you're not entirely safe." He gave a little smile before finishing off the rest of the poppyseed cake slice and walked into the kitchen. He quickly rinsed off the dish and clean it up before putting it away. He walked back into the livingroom, sitting on his chair. "That gang does sound pretty bad though. It's good that they're behind bars."

Alyz's expression only turned to that of slightly afraid. He gave a nod. "Alright.." He said though pouted over the fact that it WAS there, for him at least.

Prussia grunted and smirked at his brother. "For your sake, you'd better hope nobody learns about this." He yawned, lowering the footrest on the recliner and letting his leg lower some, itching at the cast. Man, that thing itches like crazy...! "Pretty bad? No kidding. They only took their country hostage after burning landmarks to make her suffer. But hey, at least the public seems to support us. I wouldn't be surprised if you got treated like a celebrity eventually, Liz." Hey, you never knew. It was possible. Then again, he himself didn't have any "people" anymore anyway. The only ones who had really noticed him in person were the Hungarians and a few Germans.

Hungary rolled her eyes, though still kept her smile. "If I got to a celebrity status, I think I wouldn't have any privacy at all. And I'd absolutely HATE that." She gave a small laugh after that. "The public hated us before though. Remember those &@#$ doctors? I thought I'd get experimented on for a second there." She shivered at the thought. They had been pretty frightening... Ah well, at least they were friends now.
Germany gave a shrug. "Some people are just twisted in the head." He mumbled. He then looked up slightly thoughtfully. "What did they want anyways? Like, seriously, what could they possibly use a country for?" Not a whole lot came to mind, so he couldn't really make a guess.
