Athena's jaw almost dropped when Fang kissed the Eraser. She was still very unsure of him, and he wasn't leaving her sight. Fang's boyfriend or not, he's still an Eraser.

Storm was a little more relieved when Jinx kissed him. He smiled knowing that she had meant it that time. He happened to look down and catch Ren with the tranquilizer aimed right for his face. He was frozen in place, unsure of what to do or how to react.

Now that I'd realized that the different changes were fueled by emotion, there would be no way for Hiro to hide his feelings from anyone. As I looked into his grey eyes, I tried to think of what he could be feeling. The winds made it obvious that he was angry and still in pain but the coldness was a bit of a mystery for me. The first time, it had been because I left him alone but I was right next to him so he'd thrown me for a loop this time. "What's wrong sweetheart?" Aside from the adorable blushing, he was otherwise emotionally put together.

Hiro just shook his head, unable to talk. She seriously just kissed him, not on the lips, but a kiss is a kiss! He kept looking at his feet, too embarrassed to look either of them in the eyes. It got minimally colder with each passing second, the awkwardness and embarrassment growing. He moved both his legs to one side of the branch without jostling his arms, and stood on the branch below. He really didn't want to be over here with these two lovebirds. He started maneuvering his way down to the ground, trying his hardest not to let anything touch his arms.

As I watched him leave I huffed and pouted. "I thought you liked being around me you little meanie." Knowing that getting him to come back was futile I sighed and wrapped my arms around Storm letting him fill the space that was usually only reserved for Hiro. When he didn't respond I looked up at him in slight confusion. "What's wrong with you puppy? I thought you'd at least be excited to see me."

Ren glared at Storm, catching his gaze as he saw him freeze. Perfect. He wanted to shoot. He wanted to blow off that mutt's face so badly. His finger tightened on the trigger. It wouldn't kill him. Simply send the poor puppy to sleep. But he hesitated. What if he hit Jinx? What if he missed? Ren was 99% sure his aiming was accurate.

Although Storm enjoyed her hug, this was not the time. He still couldn't move as if he was already shot. his eyes grew wider as he saw Ren tighten on the trigger. "Back away from me." he said quietly under his beneath his breath only loud enough for Jinx to hear . "I don't want you to be hurt." He added. He knew that he couldn't go after Ren. And if Ren shot he risked shooting Jinx, so the best he could do was get Jinx out of the line of fire.

Ren could read his lips. "smart boy." He murmured softly. Ren has his prey right where he needed him. If he moved or threatened him at all, all he had to do was pull the trigger. He figured Fang would get the hint and move over to Hiro.

Rolling my eyes I did the total opposite of what he wanted because I was sure that for the moment, we were safe. Smirking I settled myself in his lap and kissed his cheek. "I'm pretty sure we're all safe at the moment so chill out. It's not like someone is gonna come and rip your fluffy little tail off so just relax." Pouting slightly I nuzzled his neck and smiled. How I'd come to fall for the one person I should have killed was beyond me but I didn't care. He'd kept me safe and more importantly, the flock.

Ren slammed the gun down so hard he heard a crack as it broke. He was so mad he wouldn't be surprised if he had red eyes and fangs. The teen marched over and grabbed Fang's arm, ripping her out of the Eraser's lap. "We're going home. The dog stays here."

Storm had instant relief when he put the gun on the ground. But wouldn't stand for Ren taking Her away from him. He stud up fast. Baring his k-9's and growling lowly with a faint snarl facing Ren. He was about to let out at him but knew he couldn't, not with Jinx there at least. He didn't wish to hurt Ren but if he was forcing Jinx to be away from him, he wouldn't stand for it. With realizing this, Storm relaxed, and gave Ren his space.
