Breath coming out in a rythme, the girl raced towards were that other girl was. The one with pretty red hair that was being taken away. She wasn't going to let those monsters' come and kill the girl she had been working so hard on stalking. It had taken her two weeks to find her, and now her whole plan was ruined. Jumping over bushes and short trees, she let her white dress flow around her legs in an arc. All that was needed was for her to get to the one called Lulu. Her job was to protect the auburn haired one and the blond. Her penalty for failing this mission was death. The one before it had failed so many years ago, that now they were relying on her to get the job done right. She should have put a stop to this years ago. That, or she could've taken the two by force and many of the others.
When the raven haired girl finally reached where Alec was, she hissed with detaste. He was daddling. Reaching behind her back, the girl pulled a sword from its sheath. The sound of metal against leather drew just about everyone's attention that was surrounding the poor kid again. This needed to end here and now. Swirling it to show off a little of her skills, Z let her feet come up and off the ground. In a full half second she was driving her sword into someone's back. They didn't even have time to scream before they were slumped on the ground. Good, for once it was easy. Looking up to locate her next target, she realized almost all of them were already dead. What the heck was that about? She glared up at the boy and realized he was slumped down against the tree himself. His skin was an odd shade of grey and pink. Had he burned himself? A fierce glare replaced her surprised face, and she quickly finished off the last few men with her sword. The iron of it was flexible yet sturdy, and the ends and tip were razor sharp. They could cut through anything from paper all the way to bone in one solid strike. No jagged lines or breaks other then for a clean cut through the object. Z took pride in her sword skills, after all, it wasn't often you met a young girl who could brandish a sword and was said to be over a thousand years old. Plus the fact she had feathers on the ends of her ears and small wings attached to her ankles.
She couldn't stay here, she needed to get after the more important matter at hand. They could not lose that girl to the labs. It was a complete breach in their plans if they couldn't get her. At least Z hoped it was her, they were in the right generation and place, though they might have gotten the date wrong by several months. It was clear Alec and Lulu had met, but just how far had their meeting gone? If a battle had taken place between the two they weren't the right ones. Shaking her head to dislodge her doubt, Z dashed quickly forward to feel the boy's pulse. Strong but getting weaker. Her free hand felt around her waist for the vial. It had taken a lot in those bloody berries to get him fully healed again so she hoped there was enough left over. Ripping the glass bottle from a cord of leather the raven haired girl uncorked it with her teeth. She peered catiously inside. Half a bottle left, if not less.
Not even caring about were all he was hurt, she just shoved him to the ground with a firm hand on a shoulder. A yelp made his whole frame shutter, and liquid black eyes seemed to stare straight at her. Chills ran down her spine, and with a whimper of her own Z had shot to her feet. Her sword hand curled around the grip on the handle. The boy didn't move, and to her horror she watched his eyes turn a variety of colors. Blood red, warm grey, ashy black, and finally a soft green with flecks of grey. There was no emotion in them at all.
Afraid her mission was failed already, Z dropped the sword and got to her knees. As she fumbled for a pulse she jolted when she felt his hand grab her wrist. He was mouthing words. Which meant he was still alive. "Shut up, it can wait." The girl shoved the vial's neck into his mouth to make him stay quiet. Carefully she tipped the bottle and tried to get him to swallow the contents. It apprently took him a second to get the flavor on his tongue, as his reaction was delayed.
She was ready for when he tried to spit it out. The only reason he had taken it before was because it was in the berries. If he didn't swallow any of the clear blue liquid then she might loose him. And if he was lost, who knew how Lulu might react. "Swallow, now." Z flexed her sword hand as if threatening him. To her happiness he swallowed the contents. When she finally pulled the glass bottle from his teeth she saw with content he was already starting to heal. His skin was practically glowing green by the time it started to fully kick in.
She loved this generation's potions, they acted like magic yet were just a simple drug one could get from a convience store.
Taking the color of his shirt in her hands, she made quick work of hauling him to his feet. At first he wobbled as if unsteady, but soon was fit to walk. There was still obvious pain in his eyes, as if the potion wasn't working fully, but Z didn't question it. Her only movements were grabbing his forearm and ran towards were Lulu's screams were. If those people hurt her or tried to take something in greed, this day was going to get a whole lot more complicated. Her fingers itched around her sword, and she found herself making figure eights around herself and Alec. Hopefully that stupid boy knew enough by now not to try anything like running off. Then again he had been stupid enough to not learn his powers fully in the labs before setting off. He needed to learn all he could do, and quickly. Even Z herself knew more about his powers then he did. If he wasn't so stupid then she might be afraid of him. Anyone would be afraid of him if he and Lulu came together as a team. Not that intimacy had any place in the team factor. In fact, it would probably shatter everything that her speciel team had planned out.
Zee glanced over her shoulder at the boy. His free hand had strayed to his right shoulder and was pressed down hard on it. Her eyes widened. He was still bleeding. Heavily. What had he done now? She dug her heels into the soft grass and turned to face him. "You are hurt." Hey, no one said she didn't state the obvious, right? She didn't give him a chance to speak as she came up to him and roughly shoved his hand away from the wound. The sight of his gapping wound almost made her sick. White bone was visible. How did he even keep up with her? He had to be in terrible pain, and yet... A sudden grin broke out onto her face. He was indeed who they thought he was.
"Uh-" He shifted his feet as if unnerved by her grin.
Z only laughed in responce and grabbed his arm again. If they could catch up to Lulu then this day would go exactly as planned. Missions were always suppose to go exactly as planned out, but with these two it was hard to even know what they were going to do. She had actually lost track of them the night before, much as she hated to admit it. Their staying by the lake had surprised her whole gang, and when she had finally arrived to them the girl was starting to wake up. Z's eyes glanced over the landscape around them. Green forest was starting to break and show a white marble palace type building. She did not know this place. While her eyes took everything in, she missed Alec's startle. The next thing she knew he was racing off towards a group of people around a wolf like creature.
Her eyes grew large at the monster-looking dog. The hands around her sword twitched like she was nervous and scared. The girl... was... the ... the creature. Z knew now that with these two nothing was going to go as planned. Even as Alec flung himself at a man his body blacing with fire, she was in a dase still. Her sword hand quivered again, and she was suddenly in a very likely position to drop the sword. This wasn't the plan. This wasn't the plan at all.
{ Eh, hehe... Last part was a little rushed, sorry. xD New character, }
