Tauriel blinked a tear out of her eye, even though she had just finished telling herself not to get too emotional. It was no use - she'd been wondering about who her father was her entire life, and now she had finally found him. There was no holding back the tears. She dipped her head respectfully. "...Father." she glanced back up at him. "I deeply regret not having known you as a child but...perhaps...we can know each other now?" she brushed a strand of red hair behind her ear and gazed at him hopefully...and then, without warning, she sprang forth and seized him in a hug. "I'm sorry...I just..." she didn't finish the sentence and let it hang in the air as she held onto him tightly. It was like she was scared...scared that he was going to leave her again.

Daeris watched every move this blond girl made, incase she attempted something rash. "What is your business here?" she asked sternly. This human woman is out of place, so far from any cities or villages, at least to her knowledge, especially if she is traveling alone. She doesn't really have the appearance of a ranger, but that does not rule it out as a possibility, and if she is a ranger, she would be a lot more trustworthy.

He walked over near Tauriel and Gil-Galad, then went to lean up against a tree. He was fighting back the urge to scream at his mom some more, while also fighting back his urge to interfere here so he could be with his love. But he fought back, despite how much he wanted to do those things. He smiled at Gil-Galad, hoping he would catch his eye, to show that he was happy for him and his daughter.

Gil-Galad simply smiled and hugged her "There is no need to apologize I have been dead for long time which explains my absence" he said and just held her.

Tauriel smiled weakly, recomposing herself before she finally pulled away. She grinned when she saw that Kili was near, and pulled him a little closer, holding him gently by the arm. "I take it you have already heard of our impending union?" she asked Gil-galad, then glanced at Kili and blinked. "...we should hold the wedding now," she said suddenly, glancing around. Everyone important to her was already here, even Dis - and she had the feeling that perhaps it would be best if most of the Dwarven side of the family was absent, anyhow. She turned to Kili. "If I've learned anything in the past few days, it is that we can only be certain of what we have today...there are many dangers ahead, and if I die along the way...I want to die your wife."

Tauriel gazed at Gil-galad and smiled, "Really?" it was almost reassuring to know and feel like she wasn't the only one with an engagement that was looked down upon. "Well...I am certainly glad that you did not let their judgement sway your decision to marry her..." obviously, if Gil-galad had never married Tauriel and Maethriel's mother, the two she-Elf sisters would not exist, and Tauriel was grateful.

Lily draws the good of her cloak over her head as she rides through Mirkwood forest. She sings softly to herself. "Bright eyes, burning like fire..." Her voice was the only sound Shd heard. She needed more herbs for the medicines she had taken to making back at the Shire. Sadly, the mushrooms she needed only grew in Mirkwood, so she had set off on her journey to find them. Oh how she missed Bilbo. She hadn't talked to him or even seen him in so long. Her pony snorts nervously, coming to a sudden hault. She snaps out of her thoughts, looking ahead. She was at the end of the path. She would need to go the rest of the way on foot.

Bilbo was waiting for a response from the Elf-like girl (he hadn't seen her ears, but she seemed to have an Elfish air to her) when suddenly he heard more clopping of hooves nearby. He cocked his head at the noise and clandestinely pulled Sting out again, glimpsing at it just long enough to affirm that it was still not glowing blue. Whoever was coming closer was thankfully not an Orc, or a Goblin, or hopefully not one of those unpleasant Ringwraiths. He slid his dagger back into his coat and tried to breathe a little easier. "Hello?" he called into the wood. "Is anyone there?"
