~ Jack ~
At Freya's comment Jack chuckled, then he walked by Rue, up to the village. His feet knew the way, so he pulled out the small block of wood he had bene working on earlier and a kife, and chipped away at it as he walked. It was beginning to take shape, a head of a fox, a rough outline now, but Jack would soon get it up to a very fine standard of detail. He kept looking behind him to make sure the Hawk people were folling. After a while he dropped back to walk with them instead of Rue, "Why's it take three of you to bring herbs?" he asked curiously, "Surely you could have ditched the grumpy one," he said quietly to the girls with a nod in tempest's direction. The carving was still in his hands, but he'd put the knife away. he hoped the elders of the tribe would understand these new strangers. Most times in the past, and there had been rarely any occurences, when a person from another tribe visited the elders either cast them away, that or someone ended up dead. It had never seemed to run as smoothly as it was doing so right now.

/ Aella /
Aella glanced at Freya a little bit after a while. The Fox Tribe people were walking ahead. She felt very odd in this land, and wondered how on earth these people were able to live in this heat, not to mention with their fur. But... she guessed that it would be the same if they were in their home, their mountain. They'd probably feel like they were going to freeze to death, unlike Aella, who felt like she was going to roast to death. "Surely you could have ditched the grumpy one." said a sudden voice, and Aella jumped a little, not hearing the boy dropping back. Still hidden behind her Mask, Aella shrugged. "He... Jay almost sent us with five people in all. Tempest is just there to... I don't know. Maybe Jay thought that me and Freya were too unfocused. Besides. Tempest knows the area better. He's been out of our territory before." she said, and then paused. "By the way, my name is Aella." she introduced.

~ Jack ~
Jack nodded in his usual manner, it was a habit of his he had picked up, he just nodded when he understood, he nodded quite a lot actually. He smiled at Aella, "Jack," he said, funnily enough with a nod. Then he pointed something out, "Those two annoying little toads you saw earlier are my sisters, Autumn and Sycamore. I have another sister, little baby one, Rosemary, you can recognise her by her fuzzy hair," he said, because, sure enough, as they apprached the village, all three of his sisters were standing waiting. Well, Autumn and Sycamore were, Rosemary was sitting on the floor, her hair looked like it had been electrocuted, it stood on all ends, fuzzy and explosive. Autumn seemed the most dignified of the three of them, but she was the most cutting. Living proof that looks could be deceiving. "So have you children made yourseves useful?" he asked. They all looked puzzled. "Have you told the elders we've got visiotrs?" he asked. Autumn look at sycamore, and Sycamore looke dat Autumn, they rushed off to do jus tthat and left Rosemary lying on the floor. Jack sighed and sped ahead, scooping up his baby sister.

/ Aella /
Aella smiled, though it was lost on Jack, and nodded as he told him his and his sister's names. There was a somewhat large clump of trees, and that was where they were headed, so she assumed that that was their small village. As they approached where you entered, Aella respectfully took her Mask off, as to not frighten any other people in the camp, and slung it on her quiver. She hoped that they wouldn't take away their weapons, not that she was planning to hurt anyone at all, but she felt more safe with them. As Jack walked quickly into the camp after picking up one of his sisters, the Fox Tribe girl turned to them. She hadn't said a word the whole time, and the Mask that she wore somewhat haunted her. The red-head seemed somewhat surprised that the three had taken off their Masks, but did not remark about it at all. Turning back around, she gestured for them to come with her into the camp. Aella bit her lip as she walked into the small settlement, and tried not to feel fidgety as she felt a lot of eyes stare at her with shock, obviously knowing where she came from because of her wings.
/ Rue /
Rue wasn't the happiest of people at the moment. Having three people needed just for herbs seemed rather suspicious, and she felt as though the Hawk Tribe people were watching her every move. She stayed silent the whole time, not trying to draw any attention, and kept her Mask on. But as she entered her home, she carefully took off the Mask and carried it loosely. Knowing that she didn't need to send in all of them at once to talk about herbs, she finally turned around after leading them, studying the girl with the blue, gold and silver flecked eyes briefly. Her face was thin, and her hair was brown and raggedly cut. The glint in her eye showed Rue that she was a warrior true, and the way she glanced around, studying everything, somewhat set Rue's teeth on edge. "Who has the herbs?" Rue asked simply, and the boy held up his hand at chest-height just for recognition. Rue nodded towards a tent. "You'll converse in there. I swear, any type of aggression shown and you will be hauled out of here quicker than you can say, 'please.' We are heavily guarded." she warned, and the man nodded and stepped into the tent.
This left Rue with the two girls. Not bothering what they did, the red headed girl sat down on a log and stared at the ground, then to look up at the two Hawk Tribe girls. They did not seem comfortable at all. Rue wouldn't either if everyone in the camp was staring at her. She patted the log, gesturing for the two warrior girls to sit down, hoping it was the least she could do. Rue didn't spot Jack. He was probably attending to his sisters. The girl who had the plain brown eyes sat down happily, but the other swayed there, examining the log as if it had some kind of boobie trap in it. Rue rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Suit yourself." she said, and the girl sat down slowly. Odell wandered over slowly, staring with awe at the blue-eyed girl. "How did you get eyes like those?" he asked, his own eyes wide with wonderment.
Rue, as hard as it was to believe for her, saw the girl smile. "Born with them." she simply said. Odell pouted. "I didn't get any eyes like that. I got boring plain eyes. Rue got yellow eyes!" he exclaimed, pointing at his sister, who stiffened. The Hawk girl smiled, nodding. "I can see." she said, and Rue frowned, shifting around uncomfortably, not sure she wanted her brother speaking to them. "My name is Odell. What's your name?" he asked, and the girl fingered her Mask, running her hand over the surface. "My name is Aella. Nice to meet you Odell." she said. Aella glanced over to her friend, who was having a somewhat interesting time studying a plant. "That's Freya. She's stupider than she looks." she said, and Freya glanced over, made a face, and turned back to the plants. Odell giggled slightly. "Is it true that you really can turn into a hawk?" he asked, and Aella shrugged. "Is it true that you can turn into a fox, Odell?" she asked, and Odell just was silent.
The silence was broken by a noise as Rose bustled out of her lean-to and exclaimed out loud as she saw her own daughter and son with two strangers. "Rue, Odell, who are these people? Goodness gracious, are those wings that I see? Outsiders? From another Tribe? Rue m'dear, where did you ever come across these people?" she asked, gushing out questions. Rue hid her face in her hands with embarrassment, shaking her head. "Mom... please..." she muttered. "They're so thin! It's like the wind could just knock 'em over in one blow! When was the last time you've eaten?" she spoke out loudly, and Aella smiled politely. "Not too long ago m'am." she said, and Rose smiled. "M'am, is it? You're very polite for an outsider to Fox Tribe." Rue glanced up, gritting her teeth. "Mom. Please. Just... go back to doing whatever you were doing. Okay?" Rose frowned but went back into the lean-to.
/ Aulis /
"God, why did I ever allow myself to do this?"
"Allow yourself? I forced you to matey."
"I know, but I agreed to your force!"
"Aw shuddup Aullie. You couldn't 'ave resisted if you 'ad tried."
"Aullie? At least it's not as bad as Zaynie!"
"Pah. Just be quiet an' watch for the food."
Aulis and Zayn sat in a tree, watching the ground below carefully. Aulis had his bow drawn, and notched as him and his brother waited for their prey to show. They were quite a ways away from their camp, having walked out very far, and Aulis was nervous, his russet-furred tail twitching constantly, his ears ever-moving to catch any sound. "Zayn, you sure we're still in our territory?" Zayn rolled his eyes and snorted, his fluffy gray tail twitching in laughter. "You think we're out? Lissen. If we were no' in our territory, we would be either 'alf way up 'ee mounin' or in a field o' grass and patchy trees." his brother replied in his peculiar way of speech. Aulis sometimes talked like that when he was not feeling up to being literate, but mostly he talked proper, not in a somewhat accent as Zayn almost always did. He claimed that it made the ladies like him.
"Up 'ee mounin' you say?" Aulis spoke, mimicking his brother cheerfully. "Oi. Fuzzy-ears. No makin' fun o' my speech." Aulis rolled his eyes in turn. "Oh, pardon me, Mr. The ladies like this voice." Again, Zayn told his brother to shut up. "Be quiet an' wait. Jus' like I tol' ya earlier." Aulis turned his cupped ears towards the forest floor, hoping that they could find a deer and be over with this. "There! There! O'er there!" sharply whispered Zayn, his legs swinging through the air excitedly. "What? Where? I don't see anything!" Zayn was obviously a boy with little patience. "Right there thick 'ead. Nibblin' at those greens." Aulis' heart pumped faster as he stared at the ground, and then noticed the slender deer. It seemed a shame to kill it right now... "Gannit, shoot i' man!" Zayn mumbled, and Aulis let fly, but in a change of heart, turned the bow slightly to the left, so that the shaft thudded straight into the tree next to the deer. Startled, the ungulate ran off into the woods. Zayn almost shoved his brother off of the branch. "Idjit! Wo' was that fo'? You jus' missed a meal!" Aulis glared at him. "Oh shove off Zayn." he mumbled and climbed down from the tree, slinging his bow over his shoulder.

"So...?" I snorted after a silence between me and Blair. The boy seemed surprised for no reason "H-Huh?" I sighed and stood up, looking at the boy "Aren't you going to return to the village?" Blair stopped for a second and threw a rock at the river "I still didn't get my piggyback ride..." "Argh! For crying out loud!" I was going to grab Blair and punch him for being so damn annoying when something twitched inside me. "Wait... Did you hear that?", Blair was pale and holding his hands in front of his face so that I wouldn't beat him. He didn't remove the hands, however "I-I won't fall for t-t-that trick!" he said trembling. "No, stupid, I'm actually serious this time."
Another moment of silence and we both did heard something else. There was someone nearby. Propably near the lake where this river would lead, which was very near. "So what?" Blair asked "It's not like we're the only ones in this world.", I snorted after I heard that and started to walk towards the end of the river, right at the mouth of the lake "And I pray that it continues this way." normally, Blair would be offended at me for saying that, but he just started to follow me then finally said "Pray? Heh, since WHEN do you pray, Ruor?" his provocative voice tempted me to kick him, but the sound of the river always calmed me. It's as if I could hear something, or someone else there and every sound the water would do by slapping its surface on the ground seemed like someone else's voice. I know, it sounds crazy, even for me.
We both went down through the bank and reached the lake after the waterfall. "Hey, look." Blair called my attention as he went foward "Isn't that the girl that everyone thinks it's a spy or somethin'?" snorting, I said in a mocking way "You're good for nothing, Blair, yet you still find what's worse on people. She's just shy." Blair looked a little offended as he crossed his arms and snorted "You can never tell..."

~ Jack ~
Jack was just coming back with Rosemary when he heard scuffling behind him, he immediately ducked, and Autumn put her hands on his back and jumped over him. Sycamore did another leap-frog before jack could know what was happening. He winced slightly then got up again, ashamed he had been frightened by the noise. His sisters were in a giggling wreck in front of him. "So did you tell ayone we had visitors?" he asked, looking at them seriously, but heads bobbing out of most of the lean-tos was a good enough answer for him. His sisters had by now stopped laughing, so he shot them a glare, "Have you quite finished?" he asked, they looke dat him then each other and burst into laughter again. "Autumn, take Rosemary back to mum would you, you're making her cry," he said, holding out the baby to his sister. Little Rosemary was now bawling, and the only person who really knew what to do was their mother. "Fine..." muttered Autumn grumpily, she strutted off to their home, Rosemary in her arms.
Now that both his sisters were gone, Jack went and put all his game from the hunt in the game-keeper's hut. The old man there looked pleased about the results of the hunt, but when Jack told him they had met outsiders, he froze. After making sure the man was alright, for he now looked to be in a shocking state, Jack went back to Rue, Odell and the others.
He ran a hand through his hair, and then rejoined the girls, he could hear from where he was every word that Rose said, it made him grin because that was just how Rose was, a lovely caring person, the typical mother figure. Just as Jack though that, his grin got broader rembering the conversation earlier about the masks. He shook his head to himself, then sat down where the girls were. He pulled out the wood carving again, he chipped chunks away from it, not really conversing with the girls, but his fox ears were still listening if they wer eto say anything.
~ Anwen ~
Anwen could hear rustling nearby, it made her flinch. She knew it was probably just some animal, but she couldn't help thinking it might be a person. She sighed and put her head in her hands, another person to come and laugh at her. Just what she needed. After a moment of staying still, she sat down by the edge of the lake and took her boots off, and her cloak too. Then, without hesitation, she dipped her feet into the water. She was now deep in though, any though that there may be people nearby was eradicated from her brain. She was, as she did quite often, longing for a friend, and longing, for a caring family. She sighed again, it seemed to be all she ever did nowadays. Sigh. Her thoughts took another turn, she sometimes felt like running away, defeating the Marquess, then maybe, maybe she might be accepted for doing something noble. No, she couldn't though, they'd never believe her. Everyone already thought she was on the Marquess's side.
What was she going to do? Her misery never seemed to improve nowadays, she never showed her pretty smile. sS she dwelled on this, a tear drop fell and splashed into the water. It was follwed by a few more until she was silently sobbing.

Aella felt odd in this new place, sure enough. As always, the wind was scarce and the heat was getting to her, but she tried to allow her body to agree with it. Odell was a nice little boy, and was very chatty at the same time. She had found out that the fox girl's name was Rue, and already knew that the boy's name was Jack. Aella was feeling somewhat worry though, as Tempest was taking a very long time in the tent. She hoped that there had been no disagreements. Odell hopped around Aella, finding the Hawk Tribe warrior quite fun to be around. "Can you do this?" he asked, turning into a fox and skipping around. "I can't be a fox, but I can do this," she said, and turned into a hawk, staring around with strange blue eyes. The Odell fox stopped and stared at the hawk. He hadn't seen a hawk in all his life, and this was new to him. The only things of hawks he had seen, were ancient drawings on tree bark. Odell turned back into a human, staring at the bird with a new curiosity. Rue stared at her brother nervously, as if the hawk would bite his finger off if he wasn't careful.
"Wow!" was all the dumbstruck Odell could say, and Rue frowned, casting a small glance at the bird. She too, had not seen one in all her life, and had to admit, she was a little impressed. Aella turned back into a human, smiling at Odell. Odell thought furiously for a moment, and then came up with another ridiculous kind of contest for them both. "Can you dooo... this?" he asked, unsheathing a tiny little dagger stone from his belt, then flinging it at a tree with all his might. It thudded into the bark, stuck there. Aella shook her head. "No, I don't have any rocks. I can do that with my bow, but it'd be best if I didn't use it here." she said, and Odell nodded solemnly. He turned to Jack, and bounced up and down near him excitedly. "Jack! Jack! Jack! I just saw a hawk. A real life hawk!"

~ Jack ~
"Wow buddy," said Jack, smiling at the young boy, for he too had just seen a hawk. He had to say it wasn't his first time, but the only time he's ever met a hawk in person. He remembered the last time hed seen one. It had been sitting in a tree nearby looking very agitated and out of palce, as soon as it had seen Jack approaching it had flown away and very fast. Jack remembered that well but had never spoken to anyone of it. He smiled now though at Odell, it must be pretty exciting for him. It was actually still quite interesting for Jack, they were beautiful birds. Jack briefly wondered where Tempest had got to, but he hadn't much liked him anyway, so it was better sitting there without him. After a second Jack got up and went to the tree, givign the stone back to Odell, "You wouldn't want to lose that," he said, because any half decent weapons were rather scarce here.
Soon Jack had finished the carving he was working on, he looked at it, then at Aella, deciding to give it to her, as it had no real purpose. "Here," he said, handing the small, detailed fox-shaped peice of wood to her.
