Hours later, Flayer came back, exasted. He slowly flew down to where runner was, in the form of a dove. He cooed and curled up aginst her.

Runner licked him, gently, and curled her tail around him. She sent him a message of peace and comfort, of safety, and fell back asleep.

Flyer nodded to sleep. He had a dream. It was all fuzzed up, and confuseing, but one thing was clear: Never Lose Hope, Your Love Is Near.

((yeah... me too. These blinkers are everywhere I thought, hey, this is cool, they blink! but now it's more like: they only blink?!))
Runner was dreaming. She was flying over a vast void, with shadowy tendrils reaching out, trying to grab her. She flew faster, but her wing form had never been her strongest. They closed in around her, suffocating blackness. Then, in the distance, between two think shadow-vines, she saw a light. It came nearer and nearer, and she saw it was Flyer, in his hawk shape. He tore the clinging shadows away, freeing her, helping her to fly out of the Inky void into a sunlit land, where no shadows existed, a land of hope and joy, of love and peace.

((I never liked them much. I think they are a bit, well... tacky.))

The next morning Flyer woke up to especially thick mists. He went to the nearest non-world pool and took a small drink.

((yeah, I had mine for an hour until I saw your post that said that you liked the old one better, and I realized I was tired of being distracted from my typing every time it blinked))
Runner woke, then gasped! She was back in her dream, except the mist was gray, not black! Then she came to her senses and realized that the fog was just regular morning fog, but it seemed much thicker than usual... she sent this thought to Flyer, who she couldn't see but felt was nearby.

((Wait, what form is Runner in?))

Flyer felt the thoght. He smiled, if you could call what he was doing smileing. It was not in the human sense, with a cruved mouth, for he had a beak, but a crinkling of the large, grey-brown eyes of a dove. He started to slink around the side of Runner, hopeing to do a little play fighting.

Cheetah heard him approach, and thought she knew what he was doing. She changed into a servile (a sort of almost mini cheetah) and waited for him to come right alongside her, trying to make him think she was still asleep.

Flyer took the shape of an owl, the most silent flyer in the worlds. He took flight, hovering above Runner. Oh, she's tring to trick me! She sent a thoght, you can't be asleep and send a thought!

Flyer prepared to jump out of the way. Oh, I stuck my paw in it that time! she thought. I can't send a feeling then pretend to be asleep!
