"When I was flying around I saw an abandoned tree house I want to look check out," I said quietly. Being th youngest of the flock I was used to my ideas getting dismissed. I couldn't stand it anymore so I went to get pancakes. "Got any left Jaro?"

JJ smiled at Seren, before jerking his thumb towards Lou. "She's the one making the pancakes, not me." He replied with a grin. "You should probably ask her." A tad uncomfortable with the amount of bodies pressing close, the male retreated a few steps, backing away from Lou and Seren to stand a few feet away. With nothing else to do, he pulled out one of the chairs at the kitchen table and plopped himself down into it. The pancake mix reminded him of something.. "If we need more food, I can go out later and get some?" For weeks, the brunette had been aware of their dwindling supply of ingredients.

."Ok. Tired brain," Seren said. And that was true. She was a night person, especially having owl DNA. "She held out her plate for Lou to put pancakes on. "I could come too for supplies and food." she quietly suggested.

Jaro's dark gaze focused on Seren when she said then, unreadable and intense. He seemed to be mulling over what she had offered, momentarily closing his ocular organs. When his irises opened again, he shrugged. "I suppose," he said, as his face broke out into a hesitant smile. "But only you - we would attract too much attention if all of us went."

."Only me?" I asked. I was shocked that I was chosen to be the one to go. Usually I was never picked being the youngest. But I was 15, and I could prove my responsibility. "I'll do it," I said. My pupils dilated as I switched to long range. I saw the walgreens that was a few miles a way and saw that it wasn't busy. "It's not busy. That's good," I said, returning my vision to normal and looking at JJ.

Jj arched his left eyebrow at Seren's shocked expression. "Well, yea.." He replied, wondering which of his words had sent her into such a tizzy. The alone thing? Possibly. "I mean, you're pretty much the same age as the rest of us. I'm sure the two of us can handle it." When the girl used her powers to look in the nearby town, the brunette shrugged. "Do you want to go now? None of us function all that well on an empty stomach."

"Don't get too worked up now" she warned plopping two pancakes on Seren's plate,"It's not as exciting as flashy as you may think, " she gave a friendly smirk to the young girl,"Perhaps later i'll tag along if you want to check out the tree house.." she suggested. After pouring another pancake she noticed the mix was almost halfway gone, well, there is enough for three, guess i'll just have to skip.. she grimaced at the thought of skipping a meal but she'd be able to eat later.

"That sounds so great!" I said before I stuffed my face with pancakes. They were gone quickly and I was still hungry considering how much a bird kid would have to eat. "Let's go before the little pancake energy wears off," She said to Jaro.

"Calm down kiddo," she teased, "At least let Jaro eat some himself." Lou poured the last of the batter on the pan, she now had a fine stack of pancakes beside her that looked very delicious. "Go ahead and grab another if you want, Seren," she looked at the stack about, enough for them to have 3 or 4, " I'm not really hungry right now, so you can take one for me covering her lie with a friendly half-smile before gathering up the dirty dishes and taking them to the sink.
