-Kai-
He woke up at seven, fully rested and ready to start the day. He yawned once or twice as he changed into his school robes, said good morning to his dorm-mates and gathered up his belongings for todays classes. He was down at the table before almost everyone else. Kai ate happily, saying good morning to people he knew and smiling a lot. When the owls flew in, he watched as his small, silver owl Skriker landed on his table and screeched. He grinned and flicked its beak softly, feeding it a bit of toast while at it. The disgruntled bird screeched once more then took off towards the window. Kai finished his breakfast shortly after that, then crossed the room to the Slytherin table, noting his younger sister and walking over to her.
"Morning," he said to her.
"I haven't seen Emily yet," she said, sounding bored.
Kai shook his head, still grinning. "She is not going to be late on the first day back."
"Good luck with that," Stellar said, munching on some toast and flicking through a magazine.
"Thanks for the wish of luck!" Kai shouted over his shoulder. Be barely heard her sigh as he ran out of the hall. He nodded at the students and teachers he knew as he passed and started climbing the numerous stairs to the Ravenclaw common-room. He waited at the door for someone to come out, quickly asking the first girl to go wake up Emily. She obliged, but not as pleasantly as Kai might have liked.
Nodding to himself, he set off towards Transfiguration, his first lesson. He was in high spirits today, and nothing was going to bring him down.
-Stellar-
She had woken up to some girls giggling loudly. After telling them to shut up, she had dressed into her school robes and sneezed a few times then gone down to breakfast. She managed to get there just when the owls flew in. Trying her best to avoid the feathered creatures, she ate and read about the latest fashions in London, chewing absently on some toast. She hadn't been all too pleased when her older brother showed up. Trying to get him to leave as quickly as possible, she told him that her older sister wasn't there. Which was true, but it also meant he would leave her alone.
When he left, she had exhaled and continued reading and sneezed a few more times. She cursed the swim she'd had a couple of days before coming here, knowing it was probably what had given her the cold. She wrinkled her reddening nose and put the magazine away, heading off towards her first class, Potions.
It was, if she had to have one, her favourite class. Professor Pollard was fairly strict and didn't like Stellar all that much, but she was the only teacher Stellar even bothered to try to be nice to.
'She should feel honoured,' Stellar thought as she dragged herself to class.
-Emily-
She had ignored the other girls as they tried and failed to wake her up, as well as one of the others who had tried to get her up. She was too tired. She'd been unable to get to sleep last night due to nerves and had gotten up simply to pace at least five times. Right now, she didn't care if she was late. At least she was resting.
But when the last girl who had been sent by her brother came in and threw her out of bed, she swore and started getting ready as fast as she could. She ended up putting her robes on the wrong way and had to fix them. By the time she had finished, her hair has still a fair bit of a mess, she had only a small amount of make-up on, her tie was loose, her shirt wasn't tucked in and one sock was missing. Uncaring of this, she grabbed all her books together and sprinted out of the dorm, pushing open the door and going at lightning speed down the stairs. She tripped on the second to last one, barely caught herself, then kept going.
She reached the Great Hall where only a few stragglers remained. She grabbed a cup of tea, downed it, two spoonfuls of porridge and stuffed half a piece of toast into her mouth. She ran helter-skelter towards her first class, Defence Against the Dark Arts.
((Emily's post should be after everyone else has left, I just did it now 'cause I have to go. I have school tomorrow so I won't be on till later, and I live in somewhere where the time zone is probably very different.
For now, g'night!))
