He watched her slip away from him, into a different relm full of sleep. Could it really be so simple? Having a girl like him- no love him, and him love her back? A smile blossomed on his lips with that thought, and it grew when he heard her whispered word of his own name. It could be that simple. Alec moved his hand till it gently cradled her head, the pad of his thumb running over her cheek at the same time. She was so cute and beautiful, he had no clue what could be so important she had to wait to tell him. Then again, he himself had things he hadn't shared in years. Including the snaps of anger at times.
Grey eyes falling back onto her precious face, Alec stopped his thumb on her lips. Soft. Pink. Cracked. Reminding him of his earlier want to kiss her. His thumb was immiedately replaced by his own lips, and his arms wrapped around her, pulling her close to him one final time before they fell asleep. He wasn't even thinking of how odd his position was, squatting over her like he was. He drew back from her softly, as if she could shatter into millions of peices at any moment. It was somewhere between that kiss and the one before that he realized he'd fallen head first in love with a girl that could kill him at any moment she wanted to. One last time his finger tips gently ran over her skin, before running through her hair. He wasn't tired at all any more, hyper was more like it.
It was going to be a long night, that was all he knew. Staring down at her, he knew he wasn't going to get much sleep that night. He'd be up for hours, all because thoughts of her would be in his head. Alec eased himself away from her, careful as not to accidently jerk her into a full-awake mind. If he was going to be up for a while he might as well make the time usefull. Wash the mud and blood off himself, clean his hair up, find some food, gather water in something, really anything his body could manage without getting beat up anymore. He gently unwound himself from her arms, caught her hand in his, and gently kissed the back of it. "Night Lew," A slight grin had worked its way onto his face, and as he quietly stood it was all he could do to not lie down again and just listen to her deep breathing when she fell asleep. He let the wide smile fade before quietly walking the foot or two to the water.
As Alec stared at his reflection, he realized his eye-sight was worse. He could only see flecks of light in the slab of darkness infront of his eyes. A sigh sounded from his mouth, and he started to wade out into the water in only his boxers. They were already soaked, but his jeans weren't all that damp anymore. Go figure that one out. There wasn't really a need to strip off all his clothes just to get a little blood of, and Alec wasn't about to do that one willingly. He didn't really like the idea of facing any of the things he and Lew had faced at night in the nude. At the thought a rough blush filled his cheeks, and was quickly replaced by a look of shock. The water was much colder then he remembered.
"Cold, freakin'. Cold." Alec hissed to himself, feeling his body tense up from the friggid temperatures. No wonder Lew had responded at the slightest amount of heat to her body. The water was cold enough to kill.
