Faulonor was almost reluctant to remove his hand from his hood, but did, none the less. He didn't need to seem... well, any odder than he already did. beside, the hood was in place. "Palidir" he stated quickly. "Palidir Oakenstone." Ahh yes, the alias he went by back in Valenwood. Been a long time since he used that.

Thrush felt her cheeks heat up as the figers traced her cheekbone. Yes, this definitely didn't happen every day. "Uhhm, yeah, that makes sense." she blurted out. "oh? I'm not with the Thalmor, no." the elf added. A small chuckle escaped her when the other traced a spot that she didn't know was ticklish.

(K so both of my elves are nervous and uncomfortable right now xD)

" Oh, good," Kanji said, withdrawing her hand. She couldn't see the elf's face, of course, but she got the feeling that she was nervous. Which was fairly par for the course, most people were a little unnerved when a total stranger went running her hands over their faces. "From what I've gathered, getting killed by a blind girl isn't the most dignified way to go. Well then, friend, let's be on our way. I'm Kanji, by the way, what's your name?"

The elf sighed when the woman removed her hand. "My name is Thrush, nice to meet you, Kanji." she said. "you can lead the way- I'm more of a follower, myself." thrush added.

"Yeah, um, about that..." Kanji said, shuffling her feet in a manner that betrayed her embarrassment, "You'll kinda need to lead for a little bit." Digging around in the pocket of her skirt, she pulled out a folded-up piece of paper with a map of Skyrim drawn on it. It didn't have any of the usual markings, but instead it had five red circles, each positioned at a different point. "A friend gave this to me once," she said. "Said it had the locations of five important ruins on it. Shortly after, I lost my eyesight to a Centurion, and now I can't read it. We should be heading towards the one marked with a 1, which shouldn't be too far from here. We are near Markarth, right?"

"Almost there, actually." thrush said. She smiled, and nodded. "I can lead us there, no problem." The elf added. She turned to walk the other way, but stopped mid-stride. "Ready to go?" She asked Kanji. She didn't know whether the map was for her or not, so Thrush left it in the hands of the other.

"Always," Kanji said, handing the map to Thrush. "You'll probably want this, just so you can cross-reference it with your own map." Taking up her stick again, the explorer carefully slotted it into a loop that her father had sewn on her pack. She wouldn't need it anymore, Thrush would provide a lovely set of noisy footsteps to follow.

Duviyn Varo nodded and drew a small notebook and a
slightly bent quill from his pockets. The book was a plain
leather piece wrapped around several sheets of bound
paper with the word 'Names' on the front. After allowing
a moment to straighten out the quill, the Imperial opened
his book and turned to a have filled page. Beneath a few
names such as Jolgar the Nimble, Indris Nerothren, Menian,
and Synette, Duviyn wrote down the name Palidir Oakenst-
one and repeated the name aloud as he did so. In the back
of his mind, he hoped he had spelled the name right. But
with a satisfied nod the Imperial put the book and writing
utensil away and extended his hand for Faulonor to shake.

"I suppose I would have had to have been," Za'ji said, speaking as though she only had a passing interest in the conversation. She knew that one wrong move could out her for good, but she had been fine so far. "I mean, who else would interrogate me? The Jarls, the guards, even the Empire take no more than a passing interest in the brotherhood. You lot are the only ones who seem to care about eradicating them."

Auguseethus was silent. Why was this Kajiit so frustrating? Either he was a fool or she was impeccably smart. August really wished he could just kill Za'ji, but it was his duty to take her back to Dragon Bridge for interrogation.

"Palidir" smiled and shook the stranger's hand. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to figure out where this glass goes." he said, raising his hand with the glass in it ever so slightly.

Thrush smiled and took the map. "that's probably a good idea." She admitted. After tucking the map away under her shirt, "Now, let's be off!" She exclaimed, raising her arm above her head as she marched walked along the path.

Za'ji smiled inwardly, maintaining her passive and conversational expression, as though they were doing no more than discussing the weather. She could almost feel the cracks in his armor widening as he tried to read her to figure out what her real role was in this. " So, just for conversation's sake," she said, after a few miles," how exactly do you interrogate your prisoners?"
