Saelweth sighed putting a hand on his shoulder she had felt quite bad for yelling at him. "I am sorry I yelled" She said she did not enjoy scaring people it was one of those things that she hated but her anger often got the best of her.

Maethriel sighed watching legolas storm off she wished he'd just ignore what his father said the woodland king was sick and she had just dropped something shocking on him so it was understandable but it was also unnerving to have him react the way he did. she was sure however that perhaps he would eventually apologize for it.

"I don't care if that will make them happy, it doesn't comply to dwarvish tradition. And I care about tradition. In case you didn't know, I am King Thorin's sister, meaning Kili is 3rd in line for the throne of Erebor. Due to that fact, I won't let him marry a disgusting she-elf!" she spat at the elf.

~Legolas de Father~

He stormed over to his father and yelled "Why did you get mad at Maethriel?!"

Thranduil failed to hide flinching as a sudden loud voice assaulted his sensitive ears again. He stubbornly refused to reply to Legolas, and kept his face hidden in the thin pillow. The elf was already feeling guilty for his previous actions.

"I mean, I didnt mean to! It's just... arrggg I don't know what to do! I'm not ready to be a father! What if I mess up an my kid decides to hate me forever? I am going to suck at being a father... I am sorry for snapping at you..." he said, realizing the error in his ways. He sighe and racked his brain for what to say, what could repair the scars he had put all to often in he and his fathers relationship. He sighed and said, a tear rolling down his cheek, "I want to be the father you were."

"I am the high king of noldor in case you hadn't put that together in your head" he said and added "Elves aren't that bad! and to be honest it's your stubborn heard headed race thats so set on tradition that you can't even find a way to even look the other way when it comes to these things! At least I am not blinded by tradition like you are and for a dwarf you are actually quite pretty even if you are quite stubborn!" Gil-Galad said yelling that at her and glaring at her he was angry at her for spitting in his face mostly but he didn't know why he had felt compelled to yell a comment at her.

Saelweth looked at thranduil she was hoping he would come around she had not told him yet that Gil-Galad was tauriel and Maethriel's father and no else had either.

"Why you little! Insulting me and my people! I swear I will- excuse me, did you just... Compliment me?" she asked, surprise filling her eyes. She drew her sword, the one she had never used and never wanted to use. "If you ever do that again I swear I will kill you and everything you love."

Thranduil lifted his head up, eyes wide in surprise. He certainly had not expected that of all things. "Legolas...I am a horrible person and father, why would you want to be like me?" The elf asked, ignoring the fact that his voice had cracked. He had a LOT to make up for. His past wasn't the greatest, nor was he the greatest elf, but he was trying his best to make up for it and become a better individual. It wasn't easy. "You'll do much better...I can see it in you Legolas. You will be a great father. Much better than I could ever be..."

Elrond currently had no idea Gil-Galad was here due to the amount of elves in general. Although it wasn't necessarily a huge group, he kept being distracted by those who needed his help or was busy healing.

~Legolas de Apologetic Father~

"Dad, you are not a horrible person, nor are you a horrible father! You were the father any elf could ask for, and one I look up to and love being around! Look around, you have people around you that will support you and love you no matter what you do, no matter how much you hate yourself. I haven't been the best son at times, and I occasionally blame that on you, but I know deep down I still love you! I won't be a great father, look at me! I am hot headed and cruel, and I Don't seem to have the decency to respect my own father. I wish I could be like you, be the great elf that you once were, that you are today." Legolas said sincerely. He loved his father deeply, and wanted to impress him and be just like him.

Gil-galad backed up and seemed to trip and fall on his back "You would kill me over a compliment that is a bit harsh but I will not do it again I swear." He said at this point he was rather intimated by her despite her size he would not have said anything had he know she was going to react like this. he had meant what he said but evidently Dis evidently did not like being complimented by an elf.


"He is right but still your father and I have both had experience raising children I am currently raising one Maethriel and you will need the help as it will not be easy and honestly I will help as much as I can and I do have feeling that Maethriel will make a great mother" Saelweth said and glanced at helrenthrad who was sticking close to thranduil.

helrenthrad looked at legolas and simply hugged the young prince's leg he had missed him he let go of legolas and moved back to his spot next to thranduil's wheelchair.

"I don't take compliments from elves, even one like... yourself." she said, putting her sword away. She held her hand out, offering the elf a hand up. She flashed a quick smile, not wanting to lead the poor elf on too much. Of course, she was still a dwarf after all. She couldn't go leading on random elves. So she shook her head to clear her head from the thoughts.
