Serena sighed and followed her sister, looking up at Tristan. "Just promise me to be carefull. Don't bring yourself into too much danger and return safely with Nick, and hopefully Aiden." she said. She didn't spoke Tristan often, but she cared about him. Very much. Some bonds between people were so good, communication was barely needed. Even though they barely spoke to eachother due to Tristan being in the forest, the siblings would always have eachother other's back.

Nick nodded at Serena's reluctance to tell him what was wrong. Her life was tough and if not talking about her problems made it a bit better, then so let it be. He squeezed her hand gently again, placed on his mask and then they walked the rest of the way to the ballroom in silence. Serena had always been a quiet girl who didn't like to bother people with her troubles and thoughts so it wasn't unusual for her to be upset about something, as long as Serena knew that Nick would always be there for her, he wouldn't bother her about her troubles.

The ballroom was still quite full, though it was evident that the number of people had lessened. It was becoming late after all, and Nick supposed that some were getting tired from all the dancing. The three siblings lingered near the edges of the ballroom and servants swarmed around them with trays full of delicacies. Nick grabbed something that looked interesting - it was white and puffy, and placed it in his mouth. It melted in his mouth and he smiled. Delicious, he thought. He looked up and saw a man weaving towards them... was that Tristan? It sure looked like him when taking account of the size, height and hair colour. "Enjoying ourselves, are we?" Nick smiled, it was his dear old brother. But his smile didn't last long, the disturbing news of Aiden not having arrived at the palace, wiped his smile straight off his face. He frowned as he silently listened to Tristan and Serena's thoughts about what may have happened to Aiden. The worst possible outcome really has come true... But there was still the possibilty that his carriage broke down and he was staying the night at an inn. Nick listened to the rest of the conversation, not saying anything. This would be an important search, if they couldn't find Aiden, the kingdom would collapse in chaos. He followed his brother and then turned to look back at Serena, nodding at her to reassure her that he'll be safe, then he turned to Arabella who was clinging to Tristan, determined to go with them and help look for Aiden. "Lizzie, he placed a hand on her arm, "I know you want to help Aiden, we all do, but we cannot allow you to accompany us. As much as you may deny it, our parents love you and will be devastated if something happens to you. We do not know if something has happened to Aiden or not, if he's...gone, and something happens to you as well, I believe Father and Mother won't be able to handle both losses," Nick said gently, "So please stay here, that would help us the most."

(Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike time differences?)

"Girls have just as many opportunities and privileges as boys huh?" she glared at Nick, spitting the words angrily before turning on her heel and storming out into the garden they had been in, tears beginning to well in her eyes. No, I'm not going to cry, she thought. I'm not going to let their words make me cry. But by the time she had reached one of the stone benches it was too late; tears had begun to spill from her blue eyes, down her cheeks. I know Nick was just looking out for me, she thought as another sob escaped her lips. But Tristan is so bitter and mean... I could help, I really could. Why won't they give me a chance? Years of pent up emotions spilled out as she sat there in the garden, alone with her dark thoughts.

Crystal sighed with relief "Oh how embarassing!" she blushed adnput a hand on her forehead. She paced adn looked back at him "Thank you, if someone found out i'd be wrecked" she smiled. She took her flower out "I found this plant out there, it was glowing".

Tears stung the back of Nick's eyes as they attempted to come out and drip down his face. Nick closed his eyes and held them in, Arabella's words had really hit him straight at the heart. He clenched his fist and his jaw, swallowing and taking a few deep breaths to keep the tears in. She had used his words to hit him back, his heart felt like someone was squeezing it with all their might, trying to destroy him. He could only look as Arabella stormed out the room. "Come on, let's go," Nick said to Tristan, his voice slightly cracking as he turned around and walked towards the exit of the ballroom.

Tyler nodded simply. "No problem. I do everything for my princes." he looked at the garden again, seeing Arabella and sighed. "Your friend seems sad."

Serena noticed Arabella's words had hurt Nick. She sighed, watching her brothers leave. And then she was alone again. The girl looked around the room. She felt terrible. She was worried about all her brothers. She didn't want anything to happen to them. And then there was also KC... This event was a disaster for her mind. When she thought everything was ordened again, a storm passed over. Serena walked back into the garden, heading straight to the cherry blossom tree. It had always been her place to think and hide when she was in Avalon. The girl sat down and buried her face, not knowing what to think anymore.

Crystal nodded "Ill go see whats wrong, and again thank you!" she gave him a small hug and kiss on the cheek and sped walked away. She walked up to Arabella "Princess?" she asked putting a hand on her shoulder "Is everything alright?" she asked again. She took her flower out of her hair and held it out for the Princess to take, maybe it might makeher have a different mood.

"Oh Crystal," she smiled and looked up at her friend, wiping tears out of her eyes. "Everything's gone wrong. Tristan is being positively rotten, I've hurt Nick's feelings, I've had one dance all night and worst of all." She paused gasping between her words, trying to hold in more tears. "I'm a girl," she said finally. "What could be worse for a person like me?"

Shaking off Arabella's hand, which tugged his arm, Tristan glared at her with a tinge of disgust and resentment. "You're so desperate to get yourself killed." he muttered. Flicking his gaze to Serena, his glare softened, and he nodded at her. "We'll be fine." he said, turning and sweeping out of the room with Nick, his burgundy cloak flapping behind him.

The prince waved his hand at a servant for two horses. The servant nodded and returned with two magnificent beasts in less than a minute. Tossing a coin to the boy, Tristan mounted his horse and cantered over to Nick. "We should head to the border as quick as we can!" he yelled over the gusting wind. Grabbing two lanterns from the stable boy, the older prince tossed one over to his brother, and set off, the stinging wind blowing through his body.

Tyler sighed softly as Crystal left again. He walked back into the ballroom, putting his empty glass away. The knight started to walk around aimlessly as far as it seemed like Elyadon had quite a few problems. He didn't want to bother people so he searched for a quiet spot where he could sit down and relax.
