Tauriel frowned, casting her gaze downward for a few moments before shooting the woman another glance. She smiled when Kili defended her, and made sure she was keeping him steady as they moved along, trying to compensate for when Dis had almost dropped him. "He's right," she chimed in, still keeping one eye on the Ringwraith. "We love each other, and that's all that matters. And your son has always been there to watch my back...rest assured, I intend to do the same for him."

Lindir suddenly seemed to appear out of nowhere near Kili, Tauriel, and Dis; he seemed to be guarding them almost. Tolkien whined as he stood by his companion, tail twitching anxiously. The elf put a hand on the giant wolf's neck to comfort him (because Tolkien's head was basically at his shoulder), though his expression showed how nervous and scared he was. "We need to move quickly, ring-wraiths are relentless things. Try to catch up with Saelweth and Thranduil, they aren't too far ahead of you."

Thranduil shifted nervously, feeling useless again. He had accepted his injuries a while ago, but this sudden change of events stirred up his self-consciousness again. The elf was king to a group of elves who were now homeless and running into trouble while traveling. And he did not have the physical strength to lead them...

(Thranduil now's not the time for self-pity xD)

He shook his head as his mother shot Tauriel a disapproving glance. "The thing should be catching up soon, and I'm not ready to lose either of you two. Go ahead, I will make my way there if I can." he said firmly. He wasn't going lose two of his favourite people in all of Middle Earth, and nothing was going to stop him from making them go ahead without him to hold them back. He turned to Lindir and commanded "Get them to saftey, then co,e back and help me out if you can. Just make sure they are safe. Please."

Lindir nodded, "don't worry, Tolkien and I will make sure they stay safe," he said with a ghost of a smile on his face, but it quickly disappeared.

Tauriel looked taken aback, although she should've known Kili would try to pull something like this. "What?" she shook her head stubbornly. "No, it's out of the question! I'm not letting you out of my sight again! We can see how well it turned out the last time I left you to your own devices," she reasoned, alluding to the wound that the Dwarf was currently suffering from. "You're stuck with me."

"Well they aren't quite safe here now are they Lindir? Can you actually take them somewhere that is safe, and Wraith free?" he asked. He needed them to be safe and sound before he could even begin to think about his own health. He knew he was as good as dead anyway, so he wasn't going to make anyone worry about him before everyone else was safe. "Tauriel, I love you, and that is why you need to get the heck out of here. I am as good as dead anyway, look at me. Please, I need you safe befor eI can even start to think about me. Please go with Lindir, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if ypu got hurt when I could have done something. He stepped closer to Lindir and whispered in his ear stubbornly "I don't care if you have to sedate her, or pick her up, or drag her, or whatever. Get them out of here now."

"Kili, I wouldn't be able to live with myself, either, if you got hurt when I could've done something," she looked absolutely miserable. "Which is why we need to stick together, always! If that Ringwraith tries to come anywhere near us, I will shoot it down!" she looked to Dis, doubtful of finding support with the she-Dwarf but deciding to try her hand at it anyhow. "M'lady, certainly you agree that we can't leave Kili here when he's wounded like that?!"

"Well, I'm, umm I'm not really much of a fighter and umm, I would probably just slow you, umm great warriors down if I was here..." she stammered. She wanted out! Dwarves marring elves, her fighting, Ringwraiths, it was just all to much for her!

~Kili~

The dwarf walked over to Tauriel, and pulled her into a long, slow kiss. He didn't want it to end, he never did, but he felt eyes on him, and he knew the spot wouldn't be Wraith free for much longer, so he let her go. "Please go Tauriel." he asked. He spun towards the sound of the shrieking and began to stumble forward to finish off the Wraith for good.

Lindir was torn between following Kili's orders and listening to Tauriel. He had no idea what to do and seemed to be dragged into the middle of their bickering. Tolkien sensed this and nudged Kili towards where the elves were going, having enough of dwarvish stubbornness for one day. "Uhh..b-best not to argue with Tolkien....He'll drag you if he wants to," the elf stammered nervously.

Tauriel could feel her eyes starting to get misty with hot tears. Kili's lips against her own...it was an unexpected but warming gesture, and she found herself enjoying every moment of it. She was loathe to see it end as the couple pulled away, but she reluctantly complied, knowing she had to get Dis to safety. She wiped her eyes and composed herself with admirable willpower. "Come, then," she told Kili's mother, starting to head away and drawing her bow, keeping an arrow nocked in case the Ringwraith came near. She glanced back and, despite her tears, couldn't help but crack a grin when she saw that Lindir's wolf was nudging Kili.
