Max heard the tiger before she saw him, and snarled. He sprang around the corner as she shot a burst of flame at him, singing his fur and burning his ears. He lunged at her, claws exteneded, so she set herself on fire. He slashed her forarm before jumping back, yelping as the flames licked his paws.

Galen silently opened up the door and poked his head out, peering around. His sensitive ears didn't pick up any sounds. He shifted into a cat and padded out of the room, flicking his tail occasionally. "Illana?" he whispered, as if she could hear him no matter where she was. He sighed a little, twitching his ears every which way to keep alert.
Tyler was back in his office, trying to figure out his vaccine still. He still wasn't having very much luck with that.
((I still can't believe I left you behind though. Sorry . . .

okay, let's go!))
Illana was about to head for the stairs when she heard her name whispered. It was Galen. She'd snuck out of the room without telling him, figuring he'd try to stop her. She turned around to find the black cat heading in her direction. Illana felt sorry for leaving him, but she was still trying to fend off the fear inside her. "Galen, I'm sorry, but I am not going back. It's not that I don't trust Tyler, it's the serums."

Chaz raced across the plains towards the building he hated so much. He heard alarms, and grinned. He ran even faster, if that was possible, and reached the secret entrance. He slipped in and raced through the halls, coming to where his sister was fighting the tiger-guard, Rossa. He roared and began batting lower-lever guards out of his way, so he could get to her and help. She was a burning column of flame, and the tiger was nursing burnt paws, so at least she was winning.

Areina had now reached the hall where Max and Rossa were fighting. Both of them were injured in some way, but now Max was aflame, the tiger assassin was having difficulty controlling her. Areina was about to help him when she heard a loud roar. So, Charles has finally come. Areina knew that Rossa could take care of himself, and so left the two battling in the halls and raced in the other direction to meet Max's brother. She wasn't intending to allow either of them to get away again.
Illana sat down against the wall, sighing. "I don't know what to do. We need to help the others but . . ." she fell quiet. Staring up at the ceiling, she finally asked, "We really have no choice, so we? It's fight or die. And I can't just sit here and do nothing anymore. If I do, then my family would have suffered to protect me only to have their efforts drowned in this wave of madness." She looked down at Galen and patted his head, smiling slightly. "So, yes. I suppose we are."
"Well, we don't mean right now," Alex answered. "Actually, it was Ellie's idea. MAybe we should cooperate to their tests to become stronger. And when we're ready, that's when we'll get out of here." He glanced around the room to all three of them. "As we are now, we don't stand a chance against Areina's specially trained team. I hate what they've done to us, but we really have no other option . . . except the obvious one." He waited to see what Zoey and Fang thought about the idea.
