Oskar gave Spray an odd look, and nearly laughed at his binoculars that dropped down over his eyes with his visor. "Oh yes! You aren't conspicuous! Not in the slightest!" he teased the FBI plane as he looked positively ridiculous looking around the restaurant with those. "You might want to dial that back a bit, Mr. Twitchy Ailerons. You see it's just... you aren't in the US anymore, and going around looking like a soldier might draw to us some... undue attention." Oskar informed the black plane in hushed tones. "But all right... so something may or may not be up. I'm not concerned." he waved a flap dismissively. "If they wanted to harm us they would've done so by now... this isn't an enemy that simply waits until there's nobody around. They have no regard for innocent life so... I think we'd already be under the gun so to speak if we were in any danger." he said reassuringly.
"But what countries have I been to? Hm... well... after Germany I sought asylum in the United States. I mostly stayed there in Chicago for a good chunk of my life, but I have been to England and France and Belgium and the Netherlands and Italy... Russia too during the war. Yugoslavia as it was known back then. Austria... uh..." he looked up now, trying to think. "Mexico, Canada, and Argentina. I first fled to Argentina after the war until the US granted me asylum. I suppose... in a way... I turned my back on my home and fled but... I never... never wanted to just simply leave it behind... but there was really no reason for me to stay either." he said forlornly, looking down here with a sad frown.
"I haven't been back since." He said, looking through his spectacles now. "Ack!" he removed them, and placed them away in one of his compartments. "No sense wearing those."
Glancing over at Rush and noticing how... quiet the Corsair was being, Oskar saw the intense... look Rush seemed to have on his face. "Erm... Herr Rush... is everything... all right?" he asked.
Miles - Tags: Shinn
"Who? Carew?" Miles asked here. "Oh yes well... he was quite the successful weapons manufacturer. He was always at the cutting edge of technology, and well... seemed to be in a league of his own really. He kept to himself a lot though... didn't really mingle at the parties... just kind of... floated around, if that makes sense. I never got the sense he was one of the crowd so to speak. When he did talk, he always waxed poetic about some such thing or other. He liked quoting prose... or making his up, I never knew which." Miles shrugged his tires here as their meals arrived.
"Ah! Here we go! Time to eat!" he said eagerly, mouth practically watering at the sight. "Mmmmm!" he exclaimed upon digging in and taking his first bite. "Oho, that hits the spot! Wow! I've missed this!" he declared. "Erm... let me think... where was I? Oh yes! I never knew what to make of him really. He was a strange sort but I don't think he was the kind to just open up to anyone. You had to know him you know? And not many seemed to. He was polite... formal... but I suspected him of anything other than being dull." he chuckled.
"I mean I dunno... what to make of him. We hardly seemed to move in the same circles after all." Miles shrugged his wheels outwards again. "What do you think Finn's interest in him is?" he speculated aloud now.
Finn - Tags: Sid, Streak, Aeris
"You may be right but someone would've noticed by now I think!" Finn replied to Streak. "I mean there's just nothing in his file to indicate he has any sort of terrorist leanings or tendencies... but if Crophopper confirms my suspicions... then he's our car. No other way to slice it, and I will NOT wait around to gain the legal means to search his premises! I intend to act on this as soon as I can, consequences be d*****! We can't just sit around if he's the threat we've all been under after all! Though..." He narrowed his eyes, and frowned now.
"Perhaps a bit more cautious approach would do us well. Try and ascertain... I can't just base my instincts on a vision after all." He murmured. "This case is the strangest I've ever worked, and I shouldn't just throw out the book now and act randomly. We still need to play this by the numbers. We need to be absolutely certain. No charging in on a whim or a guess." He sighed here, waiting for Shadow to get back to him about whatever Dusty said.
Skila - Tags: Ibex, Otter
Skila narrowed her eyes, and began listening to Otter's tale with a frown on her face. She followed it well through the Propwash attack and how there was a new band of vehicles getting together to combat this global menace; she'd seen the news after all, and wasn't blind to what was going on. She knew a major attack had taken place worldwide overnight. She liked the sound of it really... a group of vehicles to fight back... she could get behind that. But why was Otter with them? How was he contributing?
Then he began explaining a vision... and that's where Skila seemed to frown even deeper. Otter... was he mentally unwell? Was this just one big fantasy of his? She'd never taken him for the crazy sort but... had he truly lost his mind after his vision had went? "Er... Otter?" Skila asked here. "Are you... feeling all right? You... aren't making any sense. I know you know about the attacks but... a vision?" she asked now, "I don't... really follow you on that." she said, trailing off here.
Blade - Tags: Doc, Otter, Ibex
Blade nodded, but rocked back a little as Doc said he didn't exactly want to advise on someone else's love life. "Uh... well... fine. I didn't... ask you to I just... you said I could get it off my rotors so... I did." he explained here. "I'm sorry if I.... bored you or something." Blade replied, giving him a darker look. "I'm gonna go... go take your advice. Thanks..." His rotors began to whip the air as his engine powered up now, and he took to the sky, his landing gear retracting. "I'll uh... see you later." he said, turned his nose and heading back to the airport now. Doc was right... no sense wasting time talking about it... he had to... had to let Otter know... somehow...
But as he flew, he began having second thoughts. Could he really do this? Could he really make this work? It was... risky... and it would get Blade in a position he hadn't been in in years... so could he really just... do this? Could he really let Otter know how he felt? His rotors beating the air formed a constant backdrop to his thoughts, and he just wasn't sure what he could do from here on out.
But the closer he got, the bolder he became, particularly when he saw Otter still engaged in conversation with Skila. He hovered overhead, listening in as he heard Skila ask Otter if any of it was true. "I assure you it's quite true." Blade said, touching down now as his rotors slowed. "He really saw this vision. I saw him go into this weird trance like state when he did... both times. Hey Otter..." He said softly. "How's it going?" he asked, hoping that... it was at least well between himself and Skila, but a deeper part of him wishing it wasn't going so well... much as he hated to admit that.

"Oh?" Dusty asked, turning to face her now. "Let's see..." But his eyes widened and his heart stopped as he saw the picture of the slightly smiling vintage car in front of some logo of some kind. "Oh my gosh!" he gasped. "Shadow that's... that's him!" he exclaimed. "I... that's HIM! That's the guy from my vision! That is HIM! No mistake! I would know him anywhere! Shadow that's him!" he repeated.
"Where... did you get that? Who is that?" he asked, eyes frantic as he looked from the picture to her eyes and back to the picture. He narrowed his eyes to look at the words behind the car. "Skysword Industries? What is that?" he asked. "Some sort of company? What do they make?" Seeing that face was something Dusty would never forget, and he wondered how Finn had managed to track him down so fast. It was remarkable... but that was totally the car.
