[Maeras]

Rey'na mounted the dragon, settling into the deep-seated saddle.
"Just like riding a horse! Well, except maybe the flying bit." She laughed.

[Tylis]

Loki shook his head. "Not like riding a horse. Trust me." He adjusted the straps to perfection, and handed the reigns to Rey'na."No need to teach you how, just tell her what to do and you'll be fine. Oh, and whatever you do, don't be scared. Righto! Off you go!" And with that last command, Loki slapped the dragon's thick leathery hide.

[Maeras]

Vaernel jumped forward, muscles tensing, wings snapping open, as she launched herself into the air. Rey'na leant forward against the dragon's neck, grasping at a neck spine.
She reached out to the black's mind again, asking her gently to level out, as well as pulling up slightly on the reins. Vaernel responded and soon they were gliding parallel to the ground.

[Tylis]

Loki clapped and cheered in congradulations. "Well done! Try to take her higher and go into a dive! Don't forget to land - that's the hard part!"

[Maeras]

Rey'na gritted her teeth. "I'll try!" she yelled back.
She tried to urge the dragon higher, but Vaernel seemed to have other things on her mind. The big black dove low, meters from the ground, then shot straight up again.
Rey'na bit back a scream, desperately trying to regain control with both her mind and reins.

[Tylis]

Loki rolled his eyes. Just what he needed. He let out a piercing whistle, and down from the heavens flew an emerald green dragon, already saddled up. He jumped on and drove it into the air where Rey'na and Vaernel were, flying alongside them. He patted his dragon's kneck, warning it of what he was about to do. He stood up no slower than he would on any other surface, poised for flight, and pounced onto the back of Vaernel. He had barely landed on her back, missing the tail by inches. He walked with a practiced step to the saddle, snatched the reigns out of Rey'na's hands, and tilted the dragon so she flew above and just left of his. "Sorry about this." He said to the new rider. And tipped her off the dragon, aiming for his.

"I hate you Loki!" Rey'na screamed. She spread her arms and legs in the hope that if she had more surface area, her chances of surviving this would be a bit better.
She hit the dragon's back, and grabbed onto the closest sticky-outy thing ((XD)), which luckily happened to be the saddle. She swung into it, and watched Loki and Vaernel as the green dragon glided gently on a warm air current.

[Tylis]

Vaernel did spirals, loop-the-loops, she drove upward, she drove downward. All the while Loki remained in control. "What's gotten into you, girl?" He asked her. When he finally managed to get her gliding straight, he sat in the saddle and stroked her neck. "Down you come."
He lowered her to the ground and gently pulled back on the reins, making the dragon rear back slightly to land on her feet (and not her face, which happened once in a while). He doged around her legs, and felt under her stomach. It was warm, and he could feel the faintest impression of somthing living inside. Loki grinned. "We've got another one on the way!"

Natasha woke up early that morning, and, as usual, started her morning practices. Breakfast next. Then, the extra classes she'd offered to give to the other students. She smiled happily. Sword-fighting was the only thing she did really well. She pushed back her chair and started washing her plate. She looked up at the sky, then looked down, realizing that even if she knew where the sun was in the sky that information didn't help her since she didn't know how to read the position. She sighed and jogged to the training field. The other kids were there. They weren't all younger than her: some were up 19 years old. After all, Natasha was pretty well renowned for her amazing skill with a blade. She silently warmed up, the others following her lead. With a grimace she lowered herself to the ground and started a series of fifty pushups. Finally, after two more series of the same, she got up. "Okay, let's start!" she said, grinning at them all and pairing them out more by size than by level. This group was a relatively new batch, so she didn't have their level down yet. As each pair dueled, she walked around them, correcting mistakes and showing them the right way to execute each attack.

The green dragon slowed its flight and gently glided down to the middle of the oval, where it landed without any instruction from Rey'na. She stroked its neck, thanked it verbally and mentally, and off onto shaking legs.
She strode (still rather wobbly) over to Loki, and poked him hard in the chest. "Don't ever try that again! At least give me a bit of warning!"
