((Keep in mind that you don't actually have to wait for someone else to post before posting again or adding on to your action - not everything will produce a response from the environment/NPCs, and for the most part you need to investigate or interact with things to get more information on them or get them to respond to you. ;3 If there isn't much interaction in a post that I'm responding to, it results in very short response posts... like these ones. XD))
Alex
That sliver looks nasty - it's about an inch long with lots of little rough bits on it. Hopefully Alex got all of it out, but even so, it's left quite a deep cut that could probably use a bandage on it.
Raku
The townsfolk don't pay much attention to Raku as he comes in, probably assuming that he's just in to buy chicken feed for his uncle like usual. The two quarreling boys by the well (who he recognizes as Bron Reynard and one of the Onstein boys) are continuing their stickfight, having abandoned their self-appointed well-guarding duties, and Ketta sits on the schoolhouse's front step making a daisy chain.
Slink and Fillana
The bucket and its attached rope bob at the bottom of the well - it's not far out of reach, thanks to the well being reasonably full, but it's still about six feet down. It looks like it'll have to be fished out with something.

The Dungeon Mistress wrote:The Dungeon Mistress’s Character
Full name: Sitaen Lizbeth Battleberry, generally known by last name only.
Species: Torriyn
Age: 25
Description: Battleberry has reddish-brown hair that is normally windswept and tangled. Her eyes are a murky hazel and she has a lot of freckles across her face. She is reasonably tall, about 5'9", with a lot of muscle from training to be a blacksmith. Her skin is tanned from the fire and has a lot of burns and scars, and is quite rough.
Personality: Battleberry is a strong individual with an equally strong personality to match and is not the easiest to get along with. She is blunt and honest, and dislikes idle chit-chat and lying. She has been brought up in a predominantly male enviroment so hasn't got many airs or graces, nor manners. She works hard, and has no respect for lazy or careless people. Battleberry can be easily trusted and likes to trust others, but she is not dependent on them by any means and would rather work for an answer than be given it by them. Battleberry has boldness and drive and will stop at nothing to achieve her targets, whatever she sets them to be. She does not display her emotions freely or openly as she thinks emotions show others weakness, and finds it difficult to identify with the feelings of others around her. Once Battleberry has made a decision, be it to trust someone, respect them or to want vengence on them, she rarely changes it. Battleberry has a firey temper and lots of pent-up agression, though she rarely shows it unless fighting. She is brave and fierce, and once she is loyal to a cause or a person she is loyal forever and would willingly die for that person. Battleberry worships the deity Korn, but has respect for Ioun, Moradin and the Raven Queen.
History: Battleberry was raised by her Father and brothers due to her elven Mother dying in childbirth. Her Father did try to re-marry but did not like the company of the single women in the village. Sitaen was very close to her Father and her older brothest (Jais), though her two other eldest brothers (Conna & David) thought her in some twisted way responsible for her Mother's death.
The three of them went to the Village School and gained a simple education. Jais decided to continue in schooling and eventually became a scribe in another town. Conna and David left school early and went into the family Smithing buisness. Playing about in the workshop was Sitaen's family's main entertainment, learning how to forge horse shoes and mold metal figures the main skill they all learnt. Sitaen was determined to go into blacksmithing too, the forge and hammer her best friends, not just tools. Her brothers had sneered at her for her choice, but her father knew that while Jais was destined for another path, this familiar one was for the rest of his children.
Sitaen changed working in the forges. She knew it was a man's job, and her attitude changed while she was trying to fit in. She was very skilled at smithing, especially magic swords and axes. She eventually changed her name to Battleberry and set up a stall for herself in the local merchant's market. Adventuring parties came and bought the weapons she made, and demanded more. She learnt how to make bows and arrows, forge knives and how to weave magic into them. She was on her way to the top-end of the buisness, but she didn't want to be stationary.
Instead Battleberry, due to popular demand and to escape her brother's teasing, decided that joining an adventurer's party and setting up an on-the-move weapon making buisness was the way to go.
Skills:
Level 3 Weaponsmithing.
Finally finished! C;

((Battleberry is accepted! ^^ One thing to remember is that because of the nature of magic in Rally, items can't really be enchanted, so there can't be swords that are magical themselves, but a weaponsmith would be able to use magic in making the sword to improve its qualities, like making it sharper or stronger. A human or torriyn could certainly have this type of skill, since it's elemental in nature, so it fits well with her human father being a blacksmith and her having great skill with weaponsmithing. :3 I'll have her start from the north end of the town to change things up a bit, since there are more things relevant to her interests there.))
Battleberry stands at the bend in the broad dirt road leading into Bringo from the north. The door of the old guardhouse behind her is closed, but there are sounds of movement from within, mostly a lot of thudding, scraping and the occasional bout of quiet cursing. Within the fenced pasture to the left, five red cows chew their cud and watch Battleberry with a dull curiosity while their calves gambol along the fenceline and investigate the closed gate across the narrow road that leads to the farmhouse. The blacksmith's shop to the right is open, with the sounds of metal being hammered and men talking coming from inside it - the two broad doors to the adjoining small paddock are latched shut, but the shop door is propped open with a block of wood, probably to provide a cooling breeze to combat the heat of the forge. Further down the road are a few small houses and the barn attached to Auden's corral, and beyond them is the town square, where the well, schoolhouse, mill and general store can be seen.

Fillana looks down into the well, about 6 feet below them. At least it floats, she thinks. She examines the well from the water inside, the walls and up to the hook and rope that would be used to lower the bucket into the water.Fillana starts to turn back to Slink before she stops. The hook. They could lower it down into the water, and try and fish the bucket out with it.
"Let's try this..." She starts to explain to Slink. Her hand reaches out to grab the hook at pull it a bit closer. "See, Slink? If we lower the hook down and move it around, we might be able to grab the bucket and pull it back up." Fillana explains, pointing at the bucket in well.

Battleberry looks carefully at her hometown, thinking quitely how mundane and rural it is. Quaint. That was a word that could be used to describe Bringo. Picking up her small bag of possesions, she makes her way to the blacksmiths where she worked up until recently. Battleberry plans to see whether she can sell some of her goods here, so they won't slow her down when she tries to move and take on the world.
Kicking up some dust and dragging her feet, she walks to the shop door. Battleberry opens the door and kicks the prop away, making it hit the stone with a bang. "Sorry 'bout that, Max. Di'n't mean to kick it that 'ard." Battleberry smiles warmly at the man, her ex-employer, and decides to wait for his reply before trying to sell her goods to him this early in the conversation.
[Sorry it looks so short! :C]

FillanaThe wooden hook and thick rope attached to the winch over the well looks sturdy, and it moves easily, if squeakily, when the winch is turned to lower or raise it. There's also sufficient rope wound around the winch to easily reach the water and the bucket floating in it, as it's long enough to get down to even the bottom of the well. On closer examination, it looks like someone has carved a rough series of footholds down the inside of the well - narrow horizontal cuts in the stones are visible descending into the well and disappearing under the rippling water below.
BattleberryMaxil's Smithy:

The small dimly-lit smithy looks like it has seen better days, with several haphazardly-patched holes in the wall where cantankerous horses have kicked their way to freedom, and the rough wood floor is littered with old straw. Across from the doorway through which Battleberry has just entered, a hefty red-faced man is sitting on a short stool and leaning back against a low counter – the man’s heavy leather smock and coarse soot-covered hands make it clear that he is indeed the blacksmith, Max. Nearby are a few tables on which a few shoddy daggers and hunting knives are displayed for sale, as well as assorted other metal goods. To the left, a younger man wearing plain brown clothing and a leather smith's apron is hammering industriously at a short sword he has placed over the anvil - Battleberry recognizes him as Max's torriyn apprentice, Tarren. The blacksmith watches the young man, offering occasional gruff advice on techniques. Well-worn leather harnesses are draped over pegs along the wall to the left, and a few ropes and horse halters are hanging in loose coils on nails in the half-wall of a vacant horse stall to the right.

Raku makes his way over to the store where he always buys chicken feed for his uncle. Same old boring life, do this do that always the same day no excitement. He spots few people who seemed new. They could be worth stealing from, but from the looks of them they probably don't have much worth taking. He smiles at the two boys stick fighting, they where great kids. Always seeming to get into trouble, he was happy to see them playing around as usual. "Say don't you two have something you need to be doing?" He asked jokingly. He was stalling, going to buy chicken feed was the only thing he had to do today. Unless he wanted to clean, but who wanted to clean?

Raku
The two boys pause briefly in their battle as he approaches them. "Hi, Raku!" Bron says, waving with his free hand while still keeping his stick on guard against sneak attacks from the side. "Nope, we already done all our chores an' stuff, an' Papa told us to go away 'cause we were too noisy an' he said we'd prob'ly scare all the cows away." The other boy nods proudly; on closer inspection, Raku recognizes him as Corven Onstein, who is indeed extremely loud when he wants to be, which is most of the time. "We wanted to go fix the fence, 'cause Ralphie's too busy to do it, but Papa said we couldn't 'cause of the bull, so we're sword-fighting instead."

Fillana-
Fillana tests the rope with her hands one last time before she lowers the bucket down towards the water. She has decided that the rope and bucket at least are in good working condition. "Down it goes..." She says quietly, right before the hook hits the water with a little splash. "Now, for the 'fun' part," She jokes. "Actually hooking the book onto the hook." Fillana swings the rope around a bit from the top, getting closer and farther away from the bucket each time.
"Oh hey! Look, Slink, there's steps edged into the side of the well. See them, the rock ones?" She points down. She wonders if they are slippery, and decides that she would rather not test them if there is a chance of getting the bucket just by using the rope. It would be nice to remain on solid ground and dry, instead of possibly wet at the bottom of the well.
