"it's about time we reached erebor you know though i'm sure the gold is cursed my mother always said gold is worthless if it causes you to go looking for treasure in places that may or may not kill you, or was that my father who said it" Aslaf said tossing the wine skin back to her and seemed to stop his goat after seeing a dwarf and what looked like an elf in front of him. he wasn't entirely sure what to make of the two of them but he choose to dismount his goat instead he was unsure about what to say to them.

"I thought it was both of them who said that." Selphyn said as she caught the wineskin Aslaf had tossed back too her she then noticed he had stopped and she wondered why then she noticed Kili and Tauriel.

"Well if I ever saw a stranger pair of people then myself and Selphyn this would be one of those times." Aslaf said addressing both Kili and tauriel and walking over rather slowly since the goat he was leading was desperately trying to walk off in different direction.


"spiders no I don't think spiders can even survive in the area" Saelweth said and picked up the young sabrecat cub that was currently being a bothersome little pest at the moment she glanced at her son and extended her hand out too him trying to encourage him to come out from behind faeron.

Helrenthrad was a bit reluctant too but eventually grabbed his mothers hand and stepped out from behind Faeron to stand next to her the kid was shy and nervous which was understandable because he was around many people he didn't know.

Kili watched as the two people approached him and Tauriel cautiously. " A strange pair yes, but with good reason." he said as he stood up and bowed to the two "Kili, nephew of Thorin, brother of Fili at your service!" He smiled his light, happy smile, even though his thoughts were flooded with the incoming darkness.

"Really now I am Aslaf and I am some what related to Dain Ironfoot not entirely sure which side of my family has the connection though probably my fathers but I think my mothers side is connected to Thror some how I never got full story from either of them they didn't live long enough to pass that information down. I was born in Erebor. Niether of are half as odd as the two of us" He said

"I am Selphyn a skinchanger and a cousin to Beorn. Aslaf and I pretty much travel together and I don't remember whose idea it was to travel across middle but my best guess is both me and him came up with idea at the time. There hasn't been a time on this journey where we were not drinking either wine or some type of ale." Selphyn said

He nodded his head slowly then asked "And where might a pair like you be going?" He gazed wavered between the two, then to Tauriel. He gave her a light smile then returned his attention back to the two newcomers. Kili wondered as to how they were going to attemp to save their two worlds. His mind began to wander as he waited for their reply. It wandered to te corners of his mind. Kili thought about his kin in Erebor, Bilbo Baggins of the Shire, the forests of Mirwood, the goblin caves, and to every place between. He thought about Tauriel, oh Tauriel. He wondered if they could ever be together without, you know, starting some sort of war. He wondered if Tauriel really loved him. Kili loved her from the moment he met her, and couldn't nor wouldn't stop loving her 'till the end of his days. He squeezed her hand lightly, then returned his focus to the two before them.

"Originally we planned on going to erebor but as my parents once said that place is not worth it and gold isn't either" Aslaf said and added "that and the fact that Selphyn may be looked up too kindly there she is after all a skinchanger, but she wants to look for snow elves she has interest in their magic mostly and something about them being able to tame animals and train them it's her interest not mine though i'm just along for journey and the wine" he said

"my interest is specifically in how they tame the animals I've been curious about them since I was little girl and since the stories about them where passed down in my family. Many people say they are few in number much like my kind but there msut be enough of them for stories to circulate around otherwise I do not know how else my family would have come to know of their existance" she said

Tauriel nodded in acknowledgement of the two strangers who approached them, "Mae govannen. I am Tauriel of Mirkwood." she listened patiently as the two explained what their intentions were, and she looked at them seriously. "It was wise of you not to travel to Erebor. You are indeed correct: a sickness lies upon that mountain and its treasures." She hesitated a while before addressing the part about the snow elves. "...I had heard of such Elves...but I thought there were none left..." she felt slight movement beside her, and turned to see that he was smiling at her. She couldn't help but return the sweet smile before turning back to the two strangers. "...these Snow Elves may have useful magic that could aid us in our fight against darkness..." she hesitated, wondering briefly whether or not she should confront Kili first about this. "...could Kili and I travel with you? Help you in your search for the Snow Elves?" she suggested.

"We would welcome company and you are more then welcome to travel with us. I once heard my father mention that snow elves where kin to your people and of those in lothlorien and rivendell I do not know the whole situation with that but i'm inclined to believe it too be true" selphyn said

"I happen to agree with her and we could certainly use the help" Aslaf said rummaging through his saddle bags to look for some rum or ale before adding "I have no rum left, why is the rum always gone." aslaf said he was the same age as thorin

"because you drink all of it Aslaf your only one who drinks rum between the two of us" Selphyn said and added " we'll buy more don't worry about it" she said rolling her eyes and looking at tauriel with silent but obvious expression of dismay about what aslaf was saying.
