Kianna fiddled with the sleeves of her jacket, adjusting them so that they would cover her freezing, small, hands. Walking over to the strongly scented, alcoholic bar, and ordered a six oz. beverage- her favourite brand that she bought whenever she could. Kianna carefully wrapped her fingers around the transparent glass cup, and continued searching for a place to sit.
With no luck, Kianna noticed she had started receiving some stares. Either people had discovered she was a witch; not very good at all, or they thought she was plain lost searching for a seat everywhere, when there actually was indeed and empty table Kianna had completely looked across. Before she could even take her seat, a faint voice echoed into Kianna's ear. A woman had directed her to the chair she was already headed over to. Kianna stopped in her tracks for a moment, as it was rather odd for anyone but regulars to be at the bar. This girl was not recognized by Kianna, so it was some-what surprising.
She stood there for a moment, but didn't want to sound at all rude, and piped up abruptly. "I'd be happy to, thanks. began Kianna gently. "Why don't you sit down her yourself? I don't think there's anywhere else available, and I'd hate for you to stand." She was aware that it would be hugely frowned upon by the Ministry if this woman was indeed human. But Kianna couldn't help but be friendly, it was in her nature and she couldn't rid herself of it.
Pulling out the wooden chair hastily, Kianna sat down, taking off her autumn, wool coat. She fitted her cotton, teal blouse around her wait snuggly, and adjusted her seat to meet her own needs. Kianna leaned forward and rested her arms on the table, stretching them and waiting for the stranger girl's reply.
[It's kind of short and rather fluffy, my bad. >_> I have a low muse, and normally due mid-day, so my apologies.]

F i n n y A l e r a • In a bar • A bit more drunk
________________________________________________________________________________________________________Finny had promptly hidden her face the minute the other woman turned to look at her, shyly viewing her from behind her shield of hair. She had stammered, again. She didn't even know this person, why had see talked to them? Why couldn't she just say a normal sentence, or look up, or-
Her usual stream of horrified pondering was cut off when she realized that other woman was answering to her broken sentence. Finny untensed slightly at her gentle nod, giving a uneasy nod. Right, sit, that was a good idea. Finny reached over to hook a hand around a chair and pull it towards her, hastily sitting down. Shifting awkwardly, Finny briefly looked up at the pretty woman's face, before firmly locking her gaze on her hands, which were clenched together in her lap. Her mind wasn't realizing that talking to a human probably wasn't the smartest idea of hers, rather in more of a frenzy at the very idea that she had potentially caused a conversation. "T-thank you..." Finny managed to force out, her tone quiet, hands beginning to wind around each other nervously, shaking ever so slightly, betraying her already obvious terrible shyness. Silence lingered in the air for a moment, before Finny realized that it was probably her 'turn' to talk. "...Um..." Her ever-nervous hands moved to clench the remainder of her glass, fingers tightening around it when again Finn made her herself look up. "...I've got nothing. Bit boring, bit drunk..." Finny gave an an awkward little laugh and shrug, taking another sip of her drink. She had told herself she wouldn't finish it, bad enough with alcohol as was, but the stress of conversation was excuse enough for her.
(This RP needs some action, I'm half tempted to have Finny accidentally burn the place down. xD
Don't worry, I won't. >_<")

Nicolae
Being an enabler
"Don't ever make a sound when it's time to feed."
"I'm not much of a guy for beer," he admitted. "Too refined for it, I guess," he threw in a casual wink and a good-natured grin, which was proving surprisingly polymorphic in its ability to convey so many different moods with so little effort, in order to emphasize that he was joking. "But I suppose if you were to ask a rube like me on the matter..." turning around abruptly, Nick stared up at the list and tapped his lower lip, looking down the names. It took him a minute or two to come to an obvious solution, smiling widely and suddenly as he turned around to address Diana a final time. "I'll be right back,"
As he walked down the length of the bar and past it towards the storage rooms, Nick took the time to pause and see how everyone was doing. He had enough mercy in him to help the barmaid in this crowded hour, sensing that she had enough on her plate (literally, as she could be seen in the distance with a wobbling stack of emptied dishes and dirty silverware) as it were and could use a little help in upkeep. One by one he paused by those with empty steins and red noses in order to ensure that their cups stayed full and their pockets loose. Finally he reached the corner-most seats in the bar, pausing to politely interrupt the two women speaking with a bright smile and a naturalized gesture towards their glasses. "Can I get you two ladies a refill or something to eat?" he asked, tossing a thumb casually over his shoulder at the blackboard, which bore an admirable list of irrationally priced snack foods and more reasonably priced dinners. Should either have decided to agree with this, Nicolae would nod with a pleased expression and clap his hands together softly with a resounding, happy exclamation of "Excellent!" and a prompt return to his initial pursuit: getting to the storage room.
He returned with just as monstrous a platter as the bargirl, several different orders of hot meals carried in from the kitchens and balanced with risky disorder, an array of empty glasses held in each curled finger of the other hand. Underneath one arm rested a dark, discolored bottle. Delivering each order to its respective table with no errors and incredible swiftness, Nick reached Diana at record time with only the bottle and one stein left. Setting it down before the one-eyed woman with care regarding her impeded depth perception and restricted field of vision, managing to position it in a manner which left it the focus of her world for the moment, he popped the top off the bottle dramatically and poured a steady stream of thick, black beer into the stein. It frothed beautifully, a gentle hiss accompanying his proudly stated presentation:
"Doppelbock, the stoutest, darkest German brew we have in stock."

Kianna.Nicole.Greaves
Kianna took a short breath, peering around the room once more. She registered the woman's looks quickly, looking for possible witch attributes. A wand in hand. Enchanted clothing. But it didn't matter, Kianna would be leaving soon enough. She didn't want to be in a hang-over tomorrow morning at work. Bad influence for under-age wizards, most definitely. And being in a bar... well, it was tempting, really.
Kianna, zoned out from the world, came back and discovered the stranger was speaking once again. She came back to all of her senses and listened intently. "Oh, it's not a problem." she smiled gently, running her painted nails throughout the table cloth. "Uh, yeah, err, me too." Kianna muttered, slightly dazed from the overdose of alcohol and quite frankly unsure of what to reply with. Grasping onto the cup again, the glass edge made contact with her moist lips. Kianna wanted to bubble up the extremely awkward conversation, but was unable to conjure some decent topic up. Ironic though; Kianna was very skilled in conjuration!
She sat boredly, leaning back in the un-sturdy seat and attempting to stifle an obnoxious yawn. Unsuccessful, as always. Kianna straightened her slouchy posture, trying to make a good impression, weather it would pay off or not.
Turning her head, she noticed a man, most probably staff of the bar, asking her for a re-fill or some food. She cleared her throat and looked up at him. "No, I'm fine, thank you. I've probably already had a bit too much to drink already!" Kianna grinned stupidly. I guess that's just what drinking does to you. She then turned to the friendly stranger sitting just across from her. "You?" Kianna asked her.
[It's short and ickeh o.o" And I got kind of hasty when trying to fill it up a bit more. Sorry >_>]

F i n n y A l e r a • In a bar • A bit more drunk still
________________________________________________________________________________________________________Finny looked human enough, something she had been sure to check, what with her wand hidden inside her sleeve and wearing normal muggle clothing. Unconsciously shifting the arm her wand was strapped to when she felt the other woman quickly looking her over, Finny tried to look muggle, if such a thing could be possible. All it really achieved was making her look ever shyer, with still more of her hair falling in front of her face. Despite being near-blinded by brown locks shielding her eyes, Finny didn't miss the woman's bored yawn. However, she had no idea what to say, and Finny wasn't one to talk when it wasn't necessary. Refocusing on her hands, now playing with the edge of the tablecloth, the awkward silence continued.
Giving an involuntary jump when a man approached them, Finny 'flee' instinct kicked in. Her legs had already tensed up and she had her hands clenched tight to edge of the chair to quickly push herself up and run, probably kicking whoever this person was on the way. Giving a blink as his words processed through her head and the other woman who's name she still didn't know asked her something, Finny forced her limbs to unclench. "Um... s-sure..." Squinting at the board the man had gestured to, with a few stammers Finny ordered a small little dessert, well aware that more alcohol would do her no good at all, and she hadn't even made it through her first glass. Once the staff member had left the general area, Finny frantic mind slowed down a small bit, and she absentmindedly started winding her hands together again. She smiled faintly as the other woman grinned, trying to think of something to say.
Before giving a half-spasm as a small crackle of flame sparked between her fingers, making Finny practically slam her other hand on top of the burning one. The fire vanished as quickly as it had come, and she pretended to stare at her palm in shock, as if she didn't completely know what had just happened. It was another magic outburst, beyond her control, in a bar that probably full of muggles. Not realizing that it made her look far more suspicious, Finny cast an anxious look around, still acting shocked at what had happened. It had been brief; perhaps no one saw, or so she could pray.

[Notice how my posts keep getting uglier... and uglier... and uglier o.O I'm just getting much to lazy .-. And at the beginning I got super duper fluffy for a bit. I hate having little muse. >_>]
kianna.nicole.greaves
Kianna had left her wand at home. And she was very glad of it, too. Having it with her would tempt her too much. She was well aware it could come in handy and it might even be a risk not to carry it, but Kianna knew her strengths. Will power was not one of them, so she just thought better of it and left the magical stick at home on her coffee table.
Thankfully, without her wand, looking normal was a slice of cake. Kianna had lived in a Muggle-infested village every summer until her seventh and final year at her wizarding school. She looked at the woman again, trying not to stare too rudely. The woman, for now, looked entirely Muggle. Though, it can be hard to tell sometimes. Especially in a time like this. Nobody wants to show their true identity. It's risky, and Kianna doubted even the bravest soul would attempt magic in public these days. She watched as the woman fiddled with the table cloth, and saw how deeply embarrassed she seemed. Kianna felt a a little bit of sympathy. But... not a lot. This woman could one day come and attack, aware that she was a witch. The thought sickened Kianna and she cleared it of her thoughts quickly, replacing her mind with what to say. She watched as the woman jumped as the employee approached. He didn't come on as... bad, but who knows. These days, almost everyone is hiding something important. The stranger's voice echoed quietly through Kianna's ears. The woman had finished ordering a small portion of dessert. Kianna considered walking up to the man and ordering something for herself, but stayed put instead. She sat motionless through the silence, but it was interrupted by a slight crackle. Kianna couldn't quite put her finger on where it came from, but was positive it had come from the woman's general direction. The sound made her smile a little. Could this woman be a... witch? Kianna thought excitedly. Muggle's can't make such a sound at will. Only real magic could make it happen, as far as Kianna could tell. But she didn't fully rely on her assumptions. They could be wrong, and Kianna might regret it one day in the future. Plus, Kianna might have only been hearing and seeing things. A spark of light could have easily been caused by something as simple as a blink. She sat up even taller, craning her neck to see what may have been the cause of this occurrence while the other woman looked around. Kianna finally grew much too tired of waiting for the stranger to speak, so she just began to talk slowly herself. "Uh... I should, um, introduce myself, I suppose. My name's Kianna. What's yours?" asked Kianna.
[Hee! Kianna's pretty much forcing Finny to say something in every post now C:]

________________________________________________________________________________________________________Having her wand with her didn't change much for Finny, given how few spells she knew, more often her magic just appeared against her will anyways. Besides, Finny knew she didn't look normal anyways, and having a stick hidden up her sleeve didn't change that. Finny's gaze just kept dropping the more the other woman looked at her, until it was firmly fixed on her shoes. To her, just about everyone was 'bad', especially men, hence her painfully visible jump when the man neared them to ask if they wanted anything, and how difficult responding had been for her.
Finny still had her hand that hadn't just conjured a flame for no apparent reason firmly over the other, as if to snuff any burning that might try to return and would further show the world that she was far from a muggle. Thankfully, other then the woman in front of here, no one else seemed to have seen, or if they had they were regarding it as a trick of the light. Finny managed a small smile mirror the woman's, as if nothing had happened. That she wasn't screaming 'witch!' at the top of her lungs had to be a good thing. Realizing that she was leaning over slightly as if to see what had caused the noise made Finny pull her hands beneath the table, only realizing once it was too late that only further showed that she had caused it. Finny wasn't one to talk unless spoken too, so she remained silent up until the woman, who's name she now knew to be Kianna. "N-nice to meet you. I'm Finny." She answered with her small smile wavering slightly, looking up briefly from her feet to meet her gaze.
(Rushed post, I have so much homework to do. >_>
Poor Finny, but that's the only way she'll talk. xD)

[I think I finally settled on a way to lay-out and design my posts for this role play e.e]
II kianna greaves. II a local bar II intoxicated II with finny II
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________The thought of the woman being a Muggle triggered the whole problem rising in the Muggle and Wizard world. Kianna blanked out for a moment, like she had several times during her some-what awkward time at the bar. Coming back to her senses, Kianna realised it was a terrible idea to let her guard down like that, especially after giving her name out to the stranger so willingly. That alone made her look like an easy target.
She began to keep her eyes peeled and ears open for any other suspicious activity like the sparks she had witnessed earlier. Kianna realized she was still leaning over the table, and that the woman had covered her hands. So it probably was her... she thought to herself silently. Returning to her original seating position, Kianna sighed quietly, trying not to make a lot of obnoxious noise as she did before, thanks to her dramatic yawn. She almost wanted to tell the woman she was a witch right now. They hardly knew each other but Kianna was already warming up. Plus, she had no other real friends other than her co-workers at the Ministry. They were grand and all, but a bit of company outside of work would always be nice. Maybe this woman could be friend and could be relied on and could be trusted and could come out of her obvious shy phase. Or maybe the woman would be plotting to kill her in less than a month. Only time could tell. Kianna reached out her fingers and curled them around the round edge of the table. She also pushed her blond hair beck behind her ears carefully. Then the stranger spoke. Her name was Finny. An odd name. Sounded like someone at her old school, back in Canada. Of course, it couldn't be. This woman had an accent, and her old friend didn't. Kianna smiled back happily; it was good to know her name, even if it meant nothing. "It's nice to meet you to. Uh, well, don't you reckon the food you ordered should be about ready?" she suggested. "You might want to go look into that. Normally they serve much quicker."

F i n n y A l e r a • Same place
________________________________________________________________________________________________________Finny hadn't even stopped to think that maybe it would have been smarter to give a fake name, or at least the alias she had used to get a hotel room, and just given her real name instead. It wasn't her smartest idea, given her name was surely on plenty of old newspaper articles about the witch that nearly burned down a school. Finny shifted awkwardly when another spark appeared between her fingers. The magical fit was hidden underneath the table, but it was making her flush a slightly darker shade of red then the alcohol had already made her out of nervousness. Finn had no way of knowing Kianna was a witch, and was incredibly nervous the woman would decide she ought to be burned to death.
Relaxing slightly as Kianna leaned back again from her intrigued position, Finn returned to winding her hands around each other, still kept firmly under the table. At least she was actually looking at the other woman rather then the floor, managing to hold a nervous smile. It was a bit more then a 'shy phase' and Kianna had put it, given how much trouble Finny was having so much as talking. Watching as Kianna pushed her hair back behind her ear, Finny once again thought to herself just how pretty the woman was, looking away shyly as she thrust the thought aside. This was why she should never drink... doing her best to mirror Kianna's smile as it brightened, a small moment of what was perhaps comfort hit her.
Realizing Kianna was talking, Finny looked back to her face, and gave a small shrug. Her expression turned a small bit surprised, before adding a shake of her head. "Um, I g-guess so... N-no, I'll just wait for a bit longer..." It was Finny, shy beyond words and utterly terrified of the male employees, as well as about 95% of the people in the bar. She would not go bothering them about a food to save her life, if anything she would turn around halfway there and flee out the door. "It's probably nothing..."

DianaThat's the life I led,
And that's all I've ever had
"Doppelbock, the stoutest, darkest German brew we have in stock."
Diana raised her lone eyebrow again as the bartender poured the dark, delicious-smelling beer into a proper stein. She took the stein and sniffed the brew properly. She detected the slightly chocolate-y notes that should come with a dark German beer such as this. She looked at the color of the brew itself. Rich, dark brown with slight highlights of ruby. After she took a small sip, she grinned.
"I didn't know you'd have a Paulaner Salvator," she remarked before she downed half the stein in one gulp. She slammed the stein down on to the bar, proclaiming "Second best beer I've ever had!"
At that, she remembered what the best beer she ever had was...
-----
Sixteen year old Diana MacLeod walked into the old Scottish pub. Every man around her was drunker than an Irishman on St. Patty's Day. What else was there to do in the rural Scotland hilltowns?
Diana wasn't here for the drunk men. She was here for one specific man, sitting at the bar, wearing a forest green cloak.
She tapped the man's shoulder. "Tam, you do know what day it is, right?" He had promised to show her how to change form today. Impatiently, Diana's arms were crossed as she leaned on one leg with her left eyebrow raised.
The blond man with shaggy hair and a scattering of old scars across his weathered face turned to her. He made a show of pretending to think about it. Diana was getting ready to punch him when he said, "All right, all right, Diana. But before we go... Ay, Quentin! Glass for my student here!" His Welsh accent always sounded odd to Diana's ears, but Tam was a good teacher.
The bartender cleaned off a new glass and went in to the back storage room. When he came back out, he has a glass full of a rich, dark brew, which he handed to Tam.
"Now, Di, in order to further your education, I'm going to have you guess how old this beer is," Tam said as he handed the glass to his student.
Diana rolled her eyes, but she took it anyway and sniffed. Notes of oak and a malty sweetness hit her nose. She took a taste. The flavor was rich and almost... magical. She raised an eyebrow as she took a sip. For a moment, she was transported to a fantastical land, a medieval forest filled with fairies and will-o-the-wisps.
As she snapped back to reality, she gently set the glass down on the bar.
"Ancient. That's a fey brew."
Tam grinned in approval. "Seven hundred years, at the least. Still tastes just as good as it did after the first century. Fairy brews always take a long time to mature. Nice job, kid," he said as he shook a hand playfully through Diana's hair...-----
"Y'know, I never did find another beer like that. Fey brews are always the rarest," Diana said. She looked up and realized she was still in the bar. And that she had said that aloud. And that Muggles weren't supposed to know about fairy beer. She quickly drank the rest of her stein and ordered another dopplebock, in order to appear that she had been drunk.
