"Training." I lie. I've been traveling a tad bit, that's about it. I look at Raiko. Bug V. Fire. Easy. But there's always a challenge, even if there is an advantage. I study him, watching his every slight movement. I do that alot. It seems to be calming, always knowing what's going to happen next. He seems to be.....trying to be social. Like me. I scoff under my breath. He's not as good as it, obviously. But they all know me. I'm always shy, even when trying not to be. Like now. And possibly now. I curse myself in my mind. Such a moron sometimes.

Magically walking away from the wall, unnoticed. She listened in to the conversation, managing to stay quiet. How odd, it wasn't like her to stay quiet. Of course, she was going to do something. She always did something. Standing behind Collin, she blinked at his suggestion. She frowned and walked in front of him, Sablye following her quickly, to get in front of her like she did Collin.
She just listened in to everyone's conversation quietly, as if she had nothing to say and began to get bored. Humming, she turned around, not being able to be quiet. "Hello everyone? Sheesh, not seeing all of you for years and no one bothers to say hi! How rude!" Of course, she was joking about being mad, though she still puffed out her cheeks as if she was. It was nice to be back with them, being able to mess around and everything without hurting someone's feelings.

He finally reached the top of the steep grassy slope. The red Pokemon centre lay right before him but before that, a group of trainers stood mingling. He took a breath before heading towards them, knowing they were the ones he had always played with as a child.

Kale's eyes flashed across the many faces, recognizing some facial features while trying to put names to others. Everyone was different in some way. Whether they had grown from their baby chubbiness, changed their hair colour or length, or had sprouted up in height.

Kale was also able to tell some of the trainers because of their Pokemon. They had all grown up around each other and had been together when they had first received their starters. Those Pokemon too different because most had evolved.

Kale did not have any of his own Pokemon out simply because they were all very large, unlike some of the smaller Pokemon his other friends had. While the littler ones may get caught under feet, Kale knew people wouldn't be happy with getting caught under a Pokemon's feet.

The young man hovered at the side of the large group. Watching, examining, spying, thinking, remembering.

I turn to see Kale enter, waving. My tall, lanky figure, to some, was a bit unsettling. I was always taller than most people, and always a bit more mature. I never had really any true friends until I met these guys. And they are my only friends. I walk over to greet him. "Hello, Kale." I greet softly as I come over to him. My, Haven't we changed? I've gotten a bit taller, losing my usually short statue. And lankier. For some reason, I never seemed to gain much weight. It didn't really matter. I ran my hand through my soft brown hair, unsure of what to say now. I could start talking, but that would seem awkward. I sigh, still playing with my hair, waiting for his reply.

Collin Oliver Cross.

Collin stepped back as Serenity shoved in front of him, but his foot dragged on the pavement and he stumbled. He would have fallen, but years and years of being far too leggy for his own good had taught him how to keep his balance. He recovered swiftly and kept walking, widening his strides so that he was keeping pace with the young woman who had cut in front of him. She was four inches shorter and, let's be honest, not much to look at. Collin had always been a little bit- okay, a lot- weirded out by her one white eye. However, for the sake of camaraderie, he now said to her "To be fair, I did say hello when I saw you. Perhaps you weren't listening." The last half of the sentence was accompanied by a teasing smile. Serenity may not have been much for looks, but she had always been a good friend and for that Collin respected her.

"So," he continued, putting his hands in his pockets, "I see you ended up working with ghost type. Not surprising. What region were you stationed in?" Now that he thought about it, wouldn't it be strange if his old friends had been living in the same region he had all this time? He never really had cause to visit the other gyms; most of the time he was being sent to the far reaches of Johto or other regions to collect Pokemon for his teacher Whitney.

She grinned apologetically and replied, "Oh, you did? My bad, I guess I was out of it, as usual." She turned to look at Sablye and listened to the next question he asked. Pondering for a moment about his comment on the type she chose, she answered somewhat absentmindedly, "I was in the Johto region, at the Ecruteak gym. It was really nice there, kinda weird trying to talk to the others, mostly kept to themselves and trained all their might. Got boring sometimes, but overall, enjoyable." Realizing that she rambled on, she laughed and looked back at him, asking the same question back to him, "How about you? I honestly never saw you, or didn't think I did." She spaced out a lot, so if she had, she probably forgot already. How embarrassing that would have been, though, now that she thought about it, she was just embarrassing in total.

Collin Oliver Cross.

"You're kidding." That wasn't a question or an implication; it was more of an astounded statement. Collin kept walking for a moment, just looking silently at Serenity, and then he let out a quiet "Huh." Shaking his head, the trainer elaborated on his bemusement. "I was in Goldenrod City," he said. "Just south of Ecruteak. You go north on route 35, through the national park, and then turn right onto route 36 and left onto route 37. If I had known you were so close by, I would have visited just to keep tabs on you!" He shook his head, then laughed. "Amazing what time does to you, isn't it?" the man mused. "You stop looking for people you know aren't there, and then you find out they were nearby the entire time."

Alex drifted off, not bothering to listen in to the many conversations sprouting around him, and began to walk in the direction the rest of the group was heading, pocketing his hands and leaning backwards, drifting towards the back of the group. It wasn't as if he had maintained any special contact with anyone, and it was paying off right now. He understood what loneliness did to people and places, and Alex didn't mind, but, what trully annoyed him, was people that revelled in friendship and enjoyed chattering so much that they envelloped the rest of scene with it.

Tiredly, he sifted a hand through Absol'fur, which let out a contented set of clicks and purrs which brought a smile to the trainer's face.

"Aura." Kale gave a nod in return, remembering her tall form. She had always been one of the taller girls, and even taller then some boys. However, Kale was still taller along with a few of the other boys that had showed up. His eyes traveled to a few of the other trainers, now adding names to many of the faces. Kale hoped he would be able to remember everyone so he wouldn't embarrass himself with forgetting a friend's name.

His sea-green eyes switched back to Aura, wondering what type she now specialized in. When thinking about it, Kalw was always surprised when he thought about what his group of friends had accomplished. They had all become gym leaders somehow, all of them and Kale wondered how that had happened.

Kale soon turned his attention back to Aura, wanting to look at a least a little happy to see them all again.

Aura
"How have you been?"I ask, creating some conversation. I wonder what type he specialized in. I keep my soft blue eyes on him, rubbing my hand through my hair again. This was always awkward, meeting people. And annoying. Well, not annoying. Unless I had something to do. Which I almost never do. I lean on the wall beside me, watching his every tiny move. It was strange, being able to see every tiny thing in a person. I slightly shift my weight to one foot, my other foot in pain ever since that battle. A Rhydon ran over my foot, breaking it. It must've healed oddly.
