Damon turned his head and looked at her as she bit into the orange "it's smart" he said nodding to the orange "what do they taste like?" he aske d adbruptly.

"I dont know... Very sweet. But I don't really like them." she shrugged.

"Yet you eat them, or drink them" he smiled looking up at her now,"how long have you lived around here?" he said she was the first vampire he had seen since he had lived here although that hadn't been very long...

"Uh I drink them. And I've lived her my whole life. What about you? I've seen you around town before." she started playing with a strand of her hair.

"only about a year" he answered following her finger that ran through her air, with his eyes "i don't really know anyone though, just kinds talk and go i suppose" he looked down, "the whole human thing doesn't really help, you can't tell them but it's as if they already know"

"yeah" she laughed a little. "I'm pretty sure some have figured me out. I mean my eyes don't help alot" she pointed to her bright gold eyes.

"ya that gives you away almost instantly" he smiled "Im Damon, by the way" he added putting out his hand slowly, as if he were afraid of the touch of something else, but he waited for her to shake his out-stretched hand.

She grabbed his hand. When they touched, a warm feeling went through her. She quickly pulled her hand back and blushed. "I'm Jessica, but people call me Jessie".

"thats a pretty name" he said pulling his hand back he had his fathers hands big and rough but they have that affect to grow on you, he noticed her blush and smirked to himself..

Jessica walked out of the store. She smiled and bit into her orange without peeling it. Her sharp fangs perched the thick skin, she sucked out the juice then threw the peel away. She walked towards the park.
