Dakota ran downstairs with Riley right behind her and sat down.

Dunny began on the long route back to the ranch from the cross-country course. He set Desire at a slow smooth canter. He was enjoying the smooth rocking of the gait. Whoa, whats that he thought spotting an unusual bulge on the ground. He asked for a halt, with tensing muscles and his voice. He swung off and walked towards it, Desire walked at his shoulder. As he approached he realized it was a downed wolf, with two cubs against her tummy. the wolf looked dead but he poked it with a stick to be sure. "I think I'll bury you poor girl" he told her, he grabbed for her scruff and prepared to drag her. He herd a small whimper. Dropping the momma wolfs body he rushed back to the pups. He picked one up in each hand, and could immediately feel the difference one was cold and stiff, the other hissed at him and tried to nibble his hand. he put the dead one with the mother. "I'll be back to bury you, but now I've got to get your sister and baby home." He told them looking at the underneath to confirm the gender. He tucked the pup inside his clothes against his chest, and swung onto Desire. He commanded him to gallop, he needed to get the cub he was supporting with one hand home, it need food.

back at the ranch unitys had a sence that someone was going to need her skills she had aquired over the years of studing dogs. this time it was urgent, the goose bumps rose on her skin as she questioned in her mind what someone would come to her for she was new afer all and they hadnt learned to trust her yet. then she remembered, they all had been given dogs. she took out her first aide kit and waited for the mystery emergency.

Dunny knew he couldn't let one of the momma dogs nurse the cub, because wolf and dog milk was different. He knew there was beef in the fridge, and that baby's could eat the same as their parents as long as it was soft enough. He could cook it for a little while. He swung off Desire's back and quickly pulled his bridle off and hung it up before aiming him towards his field and telling him to go. He ran into the kitchen grabbed the meat and began to chop it finely, he boiled it in a little water until it was soft. when it began to cool down he began to feed it of the end of his finger.

unity walked in behind Dunny, very good job not something i would of done on a cub so young but that beef will make it stronger faster and ready to go back to the wild. You are planning that right? because if your not I suggest you stop feeding it beef now. no offence mind you.

"I plan to let her hunt, but she will be loyal to me." Dunny told this new person, thinking who the h**l are you telling me what to do?

it would be easy to train her to hunt but hard to make her loyal. wolves are loyal to only one thing the pack. My name is Unity im a dog trainer I have been studing dogs and their behavior and how to train them most my life. wolves are just another off shoot of dogs and must be understood to understand dog behavior.

"I know of dog behaviour I've read a lot, at such a young age she's young enough for us to become her pack." Dunny said annoyed at stuck up man/woman((?)) who does s/he think s/he is? Barging in here like she owns the place.

wrong, unless of one thing; maybe two. you get a better attitude toward your instructors and, (unity looks into the cubs eyes) you thank whatever god you pray to that wolf mother likes dogs. you can keep it, its half dog. but be careful for aggressive behavior and dont hesitate to come to me for help. Its what I do.
