Brendon closed his eyes and took deep breaths.

Onayra pulled a round ovoid, pointed on one end and dripping with green slime, out of Jessica's shoulder.

Mytharion whimpered and hid under a fern, afraid of the larger dragon.

Jessica roared loudly, crying out in pain. She growled softly, wanting to be left alone but knew the arrow needed to go. She closed her eyes but held brendon close to her.

Jessica smiled softly and picked up her head, gently nudging him with her snout. Come sit down, I'll be fine, she expanded her wings up, stretching and so brendon could move.

Brendon walked over and sat down ten feet from the base of her body so she could lay her neck down.

Jessica laid her head down near his legs. Her snout was right near his hand. She tried to relax against the pain but it was getting the best of her. She tried to hide the pain, rather than letting it show to brendon. She didnt like seeing him upset and definitely didnt like seeing him cry.
