Derek readjusted the shades over his eyes as he approached the gates of Woody Hill. He had received the letter a few days ago and, still rather unsure of how he got it, had decided to check it out. He walked rather stiffly, his tail stuffed uncomfortably down his jeans to hide it, as he moved through the gate. He looked around, trying to see if anyone was around then spotted someone. He stopped and watched them for a moment.

Nyx's ears perked when she heard the door open. She looked up and over at the door. Her tail slowing down so she didn't look like a mad, crazy cat lady. She decided to be friendly. "Hi" she said with a wave and a smile.

"Um, hi," Derek replied nervously. He caught sight of her ears and tail, shocked that there was another that looked like him. "I'm Derek," he said, introducing himself.

"My name is Nyx. Nice to meet you Derek" Nyx replied.

"I got this letter in the mail that said this was a 'school for the gifted' or something like. Does that mean that anything goes, in the manner of physical appearance anyway?" he asked hesitantly.
