I yelp as his fangs are ripped out of my neck. I fall to the ground.

Desdemona's eyes narrowed. She was a demon from the sixth circle, the circle of violence. She had never fought a vampire before... but how hard could it be? She grabbed Lance's shoulder and pulled him away from Saphira with close to no effort. Being a demon certainly had it's advantages, and abnormal strength was one of them.

Lance threw Des down onto the ground, pinning her. "You may be a very strong demon. But vampires like me can be just as strong!" He bared his teeth and stared at the girl. His eyes still had the look of hope and despair, as if the actual Lance was asking for help.

"Lance wouldn't hurt me." Desdemona replied, somehow managing to keep her face expressionless, despite her fear. "And I can prove that you aren't Lance. Just calm down." she looked at Saphira. "Run, if you can." she ordered.

I shake my head weakly. I had lost too much blood. My vision flickers and I nearly pass out.

Lance chuckled at the girl he had pinned down. "I am Lance." He laughed louder as he shoved on Des hard, making the compress her body.

"Lance... wouldn't attack me." Desdemona said through gritted teeth. She could hardly breathe. She needed a distraction. She sighed mentally and kissed him, ignoring the blood.

Lance felt her lips press against his. At first he bit into her lip, but then his eyes changed back into their normal green color. He kissed her back.
