Tobias grinned and held her hand a little tighter as they moved down the last part of the bazaar. He loved the village at sunset; it reminded him of home.

"Should we go back to the castle?" Kitayla asked after a little bit. She liked being outside, but knew that it was dangerous. Rowan was already looking tired as she say on Kit's shoulder. Kit rubbed her head again.

Tobias nodded and retrieved the horses, holding the mare steady for Kitayla.

"Thank you," Kitayla said politely and got on the horse gently after patting her neck again lightly. She started riding to the castle at a slow, steady pace. Rowan flew of her shoulder and flew into Kit's window again once she was at the castle. She settled down on her bed, which looked much like a cat's bed, and slept.

Tobias followed, the bigger but younger stallion trying to throw him a few times. Tobias reined him back in both times, following Kit back to the castle. "You go on inside, I'll take the horses to the stables," he said.

Kitayla looked back at Tobias, hearing the horse, to make sure he was okay. When they got to the castle she nodded, getting off the white mare. "Okay," she said then kissed his cheek before going inside. Rowan was still peacefully asleep.

"Go on to bed," he said. "I need to do a few things, then I'll be going to sleep myself." He smiled and pulled her close, kissing her forehead gently before taking the horses on to the stables.

"Fine," Kitayla said with a sigh then kissed his lips, having to get on her tip-toes for that, then went inside quickly since it was growing cold. She went into her room and washed up before putting on a nightgown. She had taken off the necklace Tobias had given her and left it on her bed-side table.

Tobias smiled and hitched the horses in their stalls. he removed their tack and gave them each a quick brushing, some hay, and fresh water before making his own way inside the castle and went looking for the king; he needed to speak with him.
