I see a figure up ahead, blurry in the darkness. As I get closer, I see that it was a boy with a rabbit in his mouth. His eyes were pure black. I slowly step back, but I snap a twig.

"Yeah." Desdemona nodded, walking to the boy. She looked down at him, easily hiding her worry for Lance. "May I ask why you chose such a weak host?" She was getting impatient. Lance would lose control if someone didn't help him.

He felt himself stiffen. Of course she would ask about the host, any self respecting demon would ask that upon seeing his woefully inadequate form. However, he still disliked the question. He looked up at the taller female, and said tersely, "I had a bad run in with angelic ritual." He turned to face her fully. "However, such personal questions and we've not even been introduced yet!" he said, both pushing the subject away and the conversation along. "So who, may I ask, are you? And, more importantly, where are you from?" he watched her closely, his child-like eyes reflecting the moonlight.

Desdemona rolled her red eyes. "Very well. I'm Desdemona, and I come from the sixth circle of Hell." she said, bowing. "Who are you? And could you please speed up the conversation? My... friend needs help." she added, choosing her words carefully. She was pretty sure that any demon that wasn't from the third circle wasn't allowed to fall in love.

Lance's head shot up, staring straight at Saphira. "Human?" He grinned showing his fangs. Lance's dead but still alive heart was telling him not to feed upon her, but his head and his thirst was telling him to do so. He tilted his head slightly, letting out another screech.. A screech of warning and joy. Also calling up to any other vampires that were around.

I freeze in spot as he looks at me and screeches. I stand there, petrified.

"I see," he said reassessing her. The sixth circle produced powerful demons. It would be best not to cross her, at least, not to cross her and let her know it was you who had crossed you. He impatience was interesting... he wondered who this friends was "I am Asgareoth. However, it seems you have a previous engagement and I am keeping you needlessly," he bowed formally, "Do not let me hinder you from attending to your... friend." he paused before the word, watching her like a cat watches a mouse, "I do hope we may continue this conversation later." He heard the second screech and looked over towards the sound. "It seems the vampire has found suitable prey," he muttered, slightly to Desdemona and mostly to himself. He smile flickered to his lips at the sound, imagining the feeding that was about to take place.

"It was certainly nice meeting you." Desdemona said. "And be sure that you don't break your host." she added before running in Lance's direction. She kept running until she caught sight of him. "Lance!" she called, knowing how stupid that decision was.

Lance walked up to Saphira, grabbing her arms. His cold breath teased her neck as he slightly opened his mouth to where his fangs were now showing. "I haven't had human blood in awhile." He grinned.

Desdemona frowned and started running again. She summoned all her strength and grabbed Lance's arms, twisting them behind his back. "Lance. Leave her alone." she said, her voice softer than before.
