She's seen the ones that are not original try to join packs like her own. Most didn't even survive the surgery to put chips in their brains, and others had been killed from an experiment. It was why she never thought of any descendant being worthy enough to join the packs anymore.

"Though Julian was roaring drunk before school started one day, I think he was a freshman, and started yelling to everyone that he's more impressive than any other guy 'cause what he had was better and would attract all the ladies. Everyone else thought differently than what both Julian and I knew. But I knew that he was talking about his fangs."

Shouldering past the wolves surrounding him, Amorette jutted her face into his, their noses barely touching. "I'd like it if you bowed in front of me then," She growled, turning human and boring her eyes into his.
