You're a normal eleventh grader at a seemingly normal boarding school. You've been attending this school every year since your sixth grade year and it's seemed very normal so far. Everyone in their junior year at Mercyworth Academy comes from different backgrounds. Yet everyone shares at least one similarity; they attend this school. Some love it, some have been forced to attend it unwillingly by their parents.

The school itself is fairly old; it is a renovated manor, after all. The walls are still made of stone, and the floor is a worn down tile. It is a very large building with enough dormitories for the one hundred and thirty or so students who attend Mercyworth Academy. The classrooms are full of old desks and chalkboards.

So now you arrive back at this academy, meeting up with old friends, and getting ready for a new year. Everyone is expecting it to be just as normal as any other year, but will that be true? Because a strange event has already happened the second an eleventh student, Catherine Coney, stepped foot on campus again. She vanished.

Teachers are acting like nothing happened. In fact, they are even saying that there has never been a Catherine Coney enrolled in school for the past five years. But the students aren't believing that for a second; they all know that Cathering wasn't some character from their dreams, but a real person-- a real friend. Something weird is going on, and they want to get to the bottom of it.

Now here's a note from yours truly, Symphonia. It's still about the plot, though. Characters will be disappearing mysteriously in this role play. That is why you will be having two characters. Something will happen to at least one of everyone's characters. They might die, they might vanish, they might be fatally injured, stuff like that. Don't join if you're uncomfortable to anything happening to your character.

Voldemort is rising, Death Eaters appear everywhere and you don't know who you can trust or not. Then the Order of the Phoenix appeared, two years ago. You know it because your parents, your uncles or even your entire family are members.
But we all know something: It's our time. We're not children anymore, we will fight for what we think is right.
What will you do?
And one last thing... welcome to Hogwarts.

A couple of important things::
-We are all from 14 to 17 years.
-Our army won't appear until the roleplay is a bit advanced. Now we're "only" a group of children.
-The Ministry of Magic is begginning to take control over Hogwarts. And we aren't going to let them.
-There are traitors among us, be ready.
-Harry, Ron and Hermione aren't born yet. Remus, Sirius, James, etc... do exist. And they are teenagers.
-There are no animagus in the rp (yet), but some of us are secretly studying it.

The Changed: What Are We?

This curse that is upon us started 7 years ago. We didn't know what was happening until it was too late. Wolves and dogs from near and far were being slaughtered or so we thought. One by one our numbers dwindled, our family members and friends disappearing. They were always taken in small groups and at night. We created a plan and sent out a group of three while we hide nearby. We were ready to attack, but we followed the humans after they had captured our fellow comrades.
We stayed close behind them and eventually came to a large compound. We could not enter those gates and helplessly watched as they took our unconscious comrades within that prison. We sent word home of our findings and stayed to find a way in. We tried in vain for months to save our comrades.
One day, we were finally found out and captured by our enemies. What we saw inside that camp, even I cannot repeat in full detail for to this day it still sends shudders down my spine. Some of us were brought in unconscious and some of us, including me, were awake and kicking when we were taken.
Hundreds of metal cages were stacked five high. Each cage had a wolf or a dog in it, though they looked strange. They appeared to be mutilated, some with stubs sticking out of their backs, some with several tails, or strange colors and some with all of the mutations.
We were taken deeper inside the compound and taken into a large room with many tables. The tables had thick chains and straps on them. Each of us was tied down to a table and was surrounded by people in white coats. We were injected with painful things.

From there, the changes and pain began. We were within that hideous place for almost a year, maybe longer. We won't know until we make our way back home. We will escape soon, for we are growing stronger than the humans anticipated. Out of the hundreds of us in this place there are only a handful left. The rest died during the process of becoming, what we call ourselves, The Changed. Will you help us, the surviving Changed, to escape? Will you be a human that helps or one of us?

We do not know the challenges that await us beyond these walls. This will be the journey of a lifetime for everyone. I won't say that we will get along and that we will all live. I will only say that we will do what we must to survive in the unknown wilderness beyond this prison's walls. Will you join us?

6. Use ( ) or ooc when talking out of character
7. Don't power-play unless told you can
8. If you are posting with several characters, please wait for each person to post. Say there are four of you role playing and it takes one person longer to post than the rest of you. Each of you should post once before following up with a post. There are exceptions to this rule, of course.
9. You may role play as many characters as you are comfortable with, as long as you write for them as regularly as possible and don't forget about them for too long!

There is a school with the few remaining humans left in the world. The humans are trained to do two things. One is to fight, two is to reproduce their kind so humans will not go extinct. What are they fighting against? The creatures of the night with red eyes that feast on human blood; vampires. The vampires roam freely around the Earth as they please, trying to pick off the last remaining humans.

Every night, two of the school's guardians risk their lives by walking around the perimeter, killing any beast that is on the property. Different guardian groups every night. But will that be enough? Can humans reproduce enough to live on the world?

Rules

3) You can have up to three characters, but only one of them may be a guardian

5) I don't mind cussing, but star it out (Ex. ****)

7) Vampire x Human relationships are allowed, but remember, you couldn't go around telling everyone!
8) If a human is bitten, they will either become a vampire or be given the injection to remain human
9) If a human is bitten, do not make it gory. This has to remain PG-13. Children can look at this.
