The Oculatus relies on invisibility almost as much as we do, they couldn't announce my escape without painting Dragon Bridge as a target for every Stormcloak in Skyrim. Now if you don't mind, I'm trying to sleep. I've got a long set of days ahead of me, and I'd rather not do my captors the indecency of falling asleep during my inevitable interrogation. And they will interrogate me," she added to Zachariah. " I'm only the second Dark Brotherhood assassin they've managed to get alive, I'm to valuable to kill outright. They'd sell their souls for the secrets in my head, and I intend to make sure they do. Besides, if all goes to plan, there won't be more than a skeleton crew left in the outpost once they're done with me. And if I'm wrong... Well, let's just hope that Sithis sees things the same way I do."

"Times are different." Katarina said. "Once they learn your with the brotherhood your life will end right there." She said. "The things a Necromancer can do with a dead body these days is quite astonishing."

Zachariah snorted at Katarina's comment about necromancers. It sounded a bit, well, wrong to him, especially since he practiced conjuration sometimes himself. "Whatever," he said. "Though I must warn you ... You do know you're breaking one of the five Tenets, right? The third one. Never disobey or refuse to carry out an order from a Dark Brotherhood superior. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis," he recited matter-of-factly.
Of course, not all of the Brotherhood members followed the Five Tenets anymore. But he still did, because he remembered back when, before the Fourth Era, the Tenets meant everything to the Dark Brotherhood. Sadly, that wasn't always the case now, even though it had been so much more organized when the Five Tenets were revered by everyone.

" If a necromancer can reanimate my corpse well enough for me to form coherent sentences," Za'ji said, " Then we have a lot more to worry about than keeping a low profile. And I've always thought of the Tenets as... General guidelines. That's how my father took them, so I figure it's okay for me. Now if you have no further arguments to offer, I suggest you relock my door and leave before the guards come in here and kill us all. Because my plan definitely won't work then."

"No." Katarina said. "The Tenets are our laws and you will obey them, or I will be your executioner."

"Then go ahead and kill me, lady Listner," Za'ji said, rolling over and staring Katarina in the eye, " But know that in doing so you doom the rest of our family to certain death. Don't make the same mistake Astrid did, I beg of you. There's no place left to run to this time."

" Silence!" Katarina yelled. "I am thinking of what little family I have left." She said. "Listen to me now and just come with us."

"I cannot, lady Listner," Za'hi said. " This is something I must do. Now please, flee this place. Only one of us needs to be captured, and I'm much less valuable than you."

"Sister," Za'ji said in an almost pleading tone, " All I ask is that you not rescue me now. You can rescue me all you want at Dragon Bridge, call down Alduin himself if you want, just do it at Dragon Bridge! Please, lady Listener, I've never asked anything of you before, allow me this."
