(Sorry it's so long, it's basically a new intro for Teal and Hooks intro combined. Plus working while I do this so lots of random interruptions.)
After waiting long enough for either girl to answer her questions she backed away from the entire situation. Children were not her forte anyways, so she was more than glad to be away from the armed and dangerous ones. As she retreated into the tree line she thought she heard some sort of noise, not a commotion, maybe an animal walking about? If she could find out what sort of wildlife were native to the area she'd likely be able to get a better idea of where in the world she was. Being in unfamiliar trees made her senses come alive, listening intently and watching every leaf shake, she drew her gun from the holster should she run into any large predatory animals before figuring out what was native.
As she stalked through the jungle looking for signs of life she became aware that she was not alone, something was following her. Taking a few more steps she listened for which side her follower was on and brought her gun up to her chest. She stopped, the other footfalls stopped, she walked forward a little more, so did whatever was following her.
"And the predator becomes the prey," she narrated to herself as she ducked behind a tree to get a glimpse of whatever had been off to the left behind her. She expected some sort of animal, a jaguar maybe, some other jungle cat that had predatory intelligence. What she did not expect was a man holding a revolver pointed her way. As she brought her MP45 up to aim he smirked, throwing her off guard a little at his nonchalant stance and loose aim at her.
"Seems I'm not the only one who's lost around here after all. I was beginning to think I'd been stranded to die out here alone. Would have been the worst curse cast my way so far. But lo and behold, what fair maiden has fallen in my lap." He put the gun down as he started towards her. Stopping mere feet away due to the still raised gun in her hands, "do you mind?" He quirked a brow at the weapon.
"As a matter of fact I do mind." Telani's stance tightened as if she really were going to fire her gun at this stranger dressed like he'd just walked out of treasure island in Vegas. "Who are you and why are you following me?" Her tone acidic as she watched him stone faced, demanding answers.
"Captain Hook at your service m'lady. I was following you because I thought maybe you were headed somewhere specific. I've no idea what this place is or where we are. I was hoping you knew." He smirked as that did the trick and she lowered her gun a bit to give him a nonbelieving stare. "Shall we find out together then? Two guns, two sets of eyes, a strange island with an even stranger jungle, I don't think being on your own is a wise choice here."
"Captain Hook?" Her jaw went a bit slack for a moment, "You expect me to believe you are Captain Hook, as in the evil murderous pirate who tried to off Peter Pan? That's a childrens' story. Who are you really?" Narrowed eyes searched him up and down for more information, he did look the part certainly, but that couldn't be possible, it was just a story, a fairy tale. Then her eyes fell on the one thing that made it real, his missing hand and the shiny metal hook in its place. "What happened to your hand?" Expecting some crazy story that she'd be able to call him out on, she asked exactly what was on her mind.
"Peter Pan is no innocent lost boy! He's the evil murdering monster you should be shouting at! My actual name is Killian, Hook is just what most people know me by for ease of reference. But yes, the one and only, that's me. Shock I know, no one ever expects me to be this handsome in person." He flashed his best smile in hopes of showing her he wasn't a crazy lunatic who should be put down right then and there. When she asked about his hand he held it up cautiously, "A crocodile bite it off. One I intend to skin when the chance comes up again." Dropping his hook back down to his side he turned to walk away, "Now are we going to figure out where we are, or would you rather keep up your interrogation?"
Holstering her gun she stomped after him grumbling about lunacy and how she must have hit her head or this was all a dream.
"I didn't get your name by the way." He mentioned as they walked along, unbeknownst to either of them, in the direction of Hook's infamous 'crocodile' and several others that they would recognize from 'stories'.
"Agent Henderson." She supplied begrudgingly.
"Lovely, you must be a sheriff like Emma then?" His only remote reference to the term agent after all.
"I'm a little higher than a sheriff, you wouldn't have heard of the organization I work for. Very hush hush, just the way we like it."
As their conversation drifted back and forth, neither giving much information about themselves than necessary, they became aware of other voices in the trees. Telani motioned for silence as they started to direct themselves towards the voices, not wanting to disrupt another possibly hostile situation without a little information first. Several voices became more clear as they closed the distance, until they could see silhouettes and actually hear the conversation being held. They exchanged curious looks and silently agree'd to watch for a moment longer before making any moves.
